Mike Pitre Concrete Finishing

My experience was not very good. He let the concrete truck back up into my yard, and put the biggest rut. Who does that? He didn't apologize. He said my husband gave them the okay. My husband said that he did not give any okay to do such thing. My husband said that he doesn't care if there was no concrete in the truck, you don't back up the truck in a yard. It was unbelievable for a provider who had some experience. Everything else came out pretty nice. We just couldn't believe that he couldn't put a string and measure and put more concrete there. Those are the problems that we were very disappointed with. They said they would show up this date, they didn't show up.

Mr Pitre and his crew arrived in the morning and had the job finished in the afternoon. The sidewalk looks great and is exactly what was needed to alleviate a drainage problem that we have had since our house was built three years ago. I would most definitely recommend Mike Pitre Concrete to anyone needing concrete work done in a timely and professional manner.

Mike Pitre was pleasure to work with. He told me that he has 27 years of experience and gets nearly all of his business through referrals. I did some research before calling contractors so that I would know what questions to ask. Mike was very knowledgeable. He is does not advertise, have a website or use email, but he did answer his phone anytime I called. He kept his appointments with me. I got three quotes before deciding to use Mike's company. His price was very competitive. I'd recommend him to all of my family, friends and neighbors. I've gotten many compliments and positive comments on my new driveway.

It rained almost every day while we were waiting to pour the cement. Needless to say, you can't do anything about the weather. If I had it to do over again, I would be sure to pick a day when they can start early in the morning and complete the entire process in one day as it rains almost every day here in Louisiana. Mike and his whole crew are true professionals. I was entirely satisfied with Mike Pitre and the job that he performed for me and recommend him highly.

Things went great with them. They came on time and their price was good. They did a good job and I have actually recommended them to my sister.

Mike arrived on time and gave a quick estimate which was fair. He then returned at the agreed upon time with a full crew. They completed their work in a timely manner and I was more then pleased with the outcome. Upon completion they cleaned up the area prior to leaving. I will use Mike again with some additional projects I have in mind.

Overall the job was a C+ ..In the end I was left with a lot of clean up and cement truck ruts in the yard. Trucks should have stayed on the driveway.

Good price, courteous, good work. First job was the patio and front porch replacement. Mike Pitre came, measured the job and gave a very reasonable price He came in a timely manner. He was delayed from the date he gave BUT he called to inform us. There was a clean up issue after work was done. Had to call a few times to have him come back (empty food items from crew and some large pieces of scrap concrete from front porch demolition). The work was very good. Later called for price on having an old single car driveway removed and replacing with a brick-edged sidewalk and installing a 40'x20' parking pad at road edge. Mike Pitre had some very good ideas on shaping and positioning of this work. Good price again and timely. Mike hired someone to pull out the driveway which extended under new porch. It created a large hole under the newly poured porch slab, causing a section to be "suspended" with no support so it cracked. Mike poured a "support" of new concrete under the "suspended" section of the porch. There were two catch basins in the yard that had to be replaced with the new concrete pad. This was well-done. Have received many compliments on the look of the concrete. Only issue was that there was still some large pieces of concrete not picked up. The work was was very good. There is a low spot on parking pad that collects & keeps medium size puddle. I would recommend him and call him again.

This is the second time that I have hired Mike and his crew to do pouring/finishing work around my home. This time it was my 1920 sq. ft driveway that was so dilapidated that I decided to break it up and redo it. Mike is a consummate professional. He really knows his craft. He gets his crew in on time, and works efficiently with the contractors and trucks. Always answers the phone, very personable and will go an extra mile to help you out. It all went very smooth, and the finished slab was as near perfect as you could ask for. My first experience using him was for 15x68 slab on the side of my home, and it went so well that I had no doubt about who I wanted to use on this latest one. At .60/sq.ft he is reasonable. My satisfaction level with Mike Pitre, his crew and their work is as Phil on Duck Dynasty would say... Happy! Happy! Happy!

I had my forms ready for an 1100 sq. ft. Concrete area next to and behind my home in Carencro, La. I needed a good, experienced finishing crew to finish the job. I called the company providing the concrete and asked them for a recommendation. They gave me Mike Pitre's number. I called, he answered the call personally and made a deal. He took it from there and he arranged to have the concrete trucks at my house by 9 am the next morning and that his crew would be there by 8 am. Mike showed up with his 3 man crew at 8 am as promised. He began installing the key way expansions and shored up any loose ends on the form. The cement trucks arrived at 9 am and they got started pouring, spreading and finishing. Once the cement trucks left. Mike's crew waited about an hour to let it cure a bit, then brought out the finishing machine. By 12:45 pm the job was complete. I couldn't be any happier with the work this crew did. Everything was by the book. They made sure the mesh was properly positioned and the finish was exactly as I requested. Good people too as I enjoyed our exchanges. I highly recommend this group and the cost was not prohibitive.
