A semi-retired roofer said our job was too big for him and recommended that I contact Brother's. They didn't have any Angie's List reports (or any other online reviews), which made me a little nervous. They did have an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau, though. I called them late Thursday afternoon and set up an appointment for an estimate the next afternoon. I said we were available anytime after 2:30. They set the time for 3 but showed up at 2:30--half an hour early but within the window I'd given. He thoroughly explained the problem and the approach he would take to fixing it. He brought copies of their insurance and license and gave them to me before I'd even requested them. His quote came in $1,000 cheaper than our highest one and $600 cheaper than the lowest we'd received so far. He provided two previous client references and both provided strongly positive reviews. We called him back at 4:30 pm to schedule the job. He asked if he could come the next day, Saturday, to do it or if we preferred that he do it during the week. We loved the idea of being there to see the work done without having to take off work. He said he'd be there at 9, but I told him anytime after 7 was fine. He and his team were hard at work by 8 or 8:30 the next morning--early again. They knocked the whole thing out by lunchtime, cleaned up perfectly, went over what was done with us, and left us very happy with the whole experience. The only downside is that their warranty is only for 2 years. The other quotes we received had much longer warranties.
