We noticed that the floor in our bathroom felt warm for a few days. Before we knew it, there was a small amount of water seeping through a crack in the slab (our bath is stained concrete) the quantity of water grew in just a few hours. It was obvious we had a hot water leak. Greg with American Leak Detection came out and performed tests to find the leak. He was incredibly helpful. He took the time to explain where the leak was, answer all of my silly questions, how the leak should be fixed and what our next steps needed to be. Before we found out the exact issue, we were incredibly overwhelmed. All we knew is water was coming through our floor and that is never a good thing. In a perfect world Greg would have said, ?Nothing is wrong, enjoy your heated bathroom floor?.

The costs were covered by our insurance provider and they were able to detect the problem with our plumbing after others tried and failed.

The serviceman ran the pipes and plumbing lines and then got into the pool to investigate. He found a crack along a grout line in the skimmer-basket area. He went ahead and patched it. All this was done while Hurricane Isaac loomed in the distance, and he took his time with the service call. I did not feel he was rushing through just to be finished. He did good work. We've used American Leak Detectors before and we used to think their prices were high. They have kept their prices at a constant rate; inflation has caught up with them. Now their costs are competitive

Mock Plumbing recommended American Leak Detection after cleaning out my drain lines and being unable to completely break through an area of drain line. Although Mock said I could wait on having the drainage inspected, I opted to have an inspection done to locate and fix the problem once and for all. I setup the appointment for about two weeks in advance. Steve, the technician who would perform the inspection, called me the day before to verify the appointment. Even on the phone he was super nice and friendly. He asked if he could come out around 7am and I said sure. About 6:45am the next morning he was there. He knows his stuff that's for sure. He did a great job explaining things and even had my wife look at the camera monitor so she could see things for herself. Steve found a ruptured section of main 4and rdquo; drain line in the middle of the backyard, which was a great relief since I was expecting it to be under the house with my luck. Steve showed me the monitor so I could see for myself the breakage (the camera is color). Steve marked the area of the pipe rupture by painting a line in the grass directly above the pipe. Steve was, again, very personable, competent, and professional. He called Mock to let them know what he had found and I setup an appointment with Mock later that morning. It took Steve about an hour to do his job. Overall, I was very impressed with Steve and American Leak Detection. I would hire them again if the need arises.

I don't think we should have had to pay for them to repair it again, after they thought they had fixed it originally.
