On arrival, I explained that it would crank up but not continue running and while it ran briefly I had to maintain the highest speed. They recommended a tune up which I agreed to. They required a deposit of $40.00 which I paid. When I picked it up, he started it and it seemed fixed. As I went to my car, I noticed how dirty it was and returned asking if they cleaned it. He took it saying they fix things not clean them. He did some cleaning of it. I want to add that they didn't dirty it, I took it in needing a cleaning and they never said they would clean it. At that time, I asked what repairs they did and he replied they fixed the diaphragm. I asked about the filter and he said it was foam and not replaced. I took it home and I have the same problem again. I had the distinct impression that if I returned to have it fixed again they would be angry and irritated with me. I wonder if they really did any repair to it in the first place. I would neither recommend nor return to this place.

They were very receptive to taking the lawnmower off my hands and very cordial and nice. My interaction was very limited, but would plan to use them again if I ever had the need to do so.

They were ok and there was nothing that actually stood out. Their price was fair. Unfortunately, I would probably use them in the future because I could get these people to work on the equipments that they don't sell nowadays, which I think is disgusting. There were two or three service providers in the city that would not touch the equipments if they were not bought from them, which I thought was absurd.

I agree sometimes it's convenient and cheaper to just toss out something old and buy a new replacement, but this ancient battle-worn mower really fits the bill for "they just don't make 'em like they used to." So I wanted to get the old mule back on her feet after I ran over a nasty chunk of rock and the engine conked out and wouldn't start up again. Luckily there's Williams and Williams in New Orleans. All they do is repair lawn mowers, and many in the lawn care trade have their equipment serviced there. In my case they replaced the bent-up blade (more work than you'd think thanks to age and the jolt from the rock), reset the timing, and put in a new pull cord and had her running almost good as new by the next day. The cost was more than I wish I had to pay, but they were upfront about what needed to be done and how much it would cost (estimates are free), and the final amount was exactly as they promised.
