Carl and his staff were courteous, professional and prompt in communication. They took care to protect other surfaces while they were working. They were pleasant to deal with. They performed beautiful repair work which is undetectable to my eye. I would recommend them based on the quality of work and fairness of price.

The guy didn't show or call. I waited for three hours and nothing.

I hired Uptown Stucco after receiving estimates from 3 contractors including Uptown Stucco. Uptown Stucco had the right price. I liked the demeanor of Carl who is the proprietor. He didn't seem pretentious and he seemed knowledgeable, capable, and agreeable. I asked for references, which Carl provided. I contacted the references and everyone spoke well of Carl, including one of his former bosses. So I decided to hire Uptown Stucco for my project. Uptown Stucco performed the work on time and on schedule. The job included attaching 1/2and quot; perma base cement board to a Tyveked substrate, which was plywood, along the front of my home. It also included adding 4and quot; bands around the doors and windows and raised columns on the corners of the front of my home. Carl and his associate bedded in the cement board and trim with a base coat of cement and applied a sand finish coat with color over the cement. This was no more than 200 square feet of surface area, which was from the top of a 3' brick ledge at the bottom of the wall to the top of the wall below the overhang along the front of my home. One complication was that my front door and frame were going to be replaced, but I hadn't received the new door and frame yet. This was no problem for Uptown Stucco. Carl and his associate were still able to add the bands around the trim of the existing front door, but didn't apply the cement or finish coat at that time. Carl told me to call him after I received my new front door and he would visit again to finish the stucco work around the trim of the new door. That is exactly what happened. Carl also repaired a small section of the brick ledge along the front of my home. A couple of bricks were loose and needed to be reattached. Carl secured the loose bricks by applying mortar underneath and between the loose bricks. The color of the new mortar matched the color of the existing mortar, too. Carl returned at my request to address an issue below one of my windows where stucco had been applied. There was a tiny gap between the brick and the stucco along a section of the wall. This concerned me because of the possibility that water could get behind the wall. Carl built out the stucco in order to cover the gap. I was very pleased with Carl's workmanship, attitude, professionalism, and competitive pricing. I would recommend Uptown Stucco to anyone.
