+ -1 moreMr. Ugulano and his employees were very polite, hard-working, and considerate- even taking shoes off before entering my house. His price was what he had estimated it to be. I will definitely use him again and have already started recommending him to ufriends.
Description of Work: All three toilets in my house were overflowing and I had no idea of who to call. Four friends recommended that I call Pete Ugulano Plumbing. I did and was told he would come that afternoon. He came exactly when expected, corrected the problem (tree roots in plumbing lines), and I was extremely pleased with the work.

+ -1 moreAfter changing one of the ceramic discs that made the shower continuously leak, I asked him to go upstairs and check the toilet. He said he had to order a piece. I asked him how much it was, and he said he would charge me when he came back for the toilet. When he came back to fix the toilet, he said he would just send me the bill. I was suspicious because I figured he didn't want to tell me how much he was charging. When I got the bill, he charged me for his traveling time, as well as the time he was here. He is in River Ridge and I am in LaPlace. I am 20-25 minutes from him. He charged me 2 hours of travel time for each time he came, a total of 4 hours, plus the time he was here. He was here for 20 minutes the first time and then 25 minutes the second time, yet charged me for an hour....I would not have had a problem with that, had he not charged me traveling time, too. At that time, it was $40 an hour. I felt he was dishonest. I now have Dependable Plumbing who are reliable and reasonable. They are in Metairie and Kenner and do not charge me for traveling time. They come when they say they will. This guy had me waiting all day and he was unprofessional, making crude jokes.
Description of Work: upstairs toilet and master bathroom shower leak.....I cannot remember exactly when he came, approximately 10 years ago....I had a shower that was leaking from the faucet. I have one of those expensive ceramic disc type faucets( American Standard). He changed those out and I also had a toilet leaking upstairs.

+ -1 moreThey were always prompt and always called me prior to their arrival to make sure I was ready for them to come over. They always made sure their tools were placed in a safe placed and that they would not scratch my floors. As each fixture was installed they would "clean as you go" -- they would ask me for cleaning products they could use to clean the surrounding areas of the fixtures, making sure not to scratch any of the NEW fixtures. And of course they cleaned up AFTER the jobs were finished. I would definitely recommend them to others - they did a A+ job !!! And I love my new fixtures!
Description of Work: We had several services done over a period of 1 month. They replaced 2 outside faucets on the house, replaced a kitchen faucet (I provided the fixture), check the gas line for my fireplace, and replaced 2 bathroom sink fixtures (they sent me to their supplier to pick out the fixtures). All in all, it was 3 separate visits. I always made sure I was ready for them, by cleaning out the areas they were to work in. This seems to make the work go more smoothly when they arrive. I always new EXACTLY what the work was BEFORE they started -- and I was given estimates on the separate work.
