Residential and commercial installation of solar panel & solar energy.
I had an initial consultation with a Sader Rep (Mr. Browning) at my father's home. We discussed getting solar panels installed at both my home and my dad's. I explained to Mr. Browning that I had a terracotta tile roof and he said that would not be a problem. We paid the $250 deposit and waited. The roof inspector called to say they were at my residence checking the roof. They did not leave a notification so I called Sader, a few times, to learn that my roof was unacceptable because it was terracotta tile. At that time I requested a refund of my deposit. I have called several times to request my refund speaking with Mr. Browning once (he never returned nor answered my call after the first conversation) and Mr. Kain (Mr. Browining's Manager). I have yet to receive my refund and I've called several times a month for over thee months. I've decided to get a lawyer involved.
Description of Work: Nothing, my roofing material (terracotta tile) was unacceptable.

Weeks went by; I tried again & more time passed. Finally a salesman called on his cell phone while driving as I could tell from the background. He quickly gave a brief, slick summary stressing several times that I had to decide quickly or I'd miss out. He quoted me a price of $35 a month where as TV ads & Website say $45. He also told me that I had to pay $200 up front when I sign, which would be when he came out to give me the specs (Website said similar). He didn't tell me the $200 goes toward the several months monthly payments, which is what it says on the site. Ironically, I had received several emails, one that day again, saying the $200 fee would be waved because I had shown interest. He told me that the I had to act quick before the $200 went up. Friends have signed up. That's how I found that if you sign up for the 10 year plan it's $45 a month & the 15 (or 20) year plan is $35 a month. Not clear on the site or ads. These two friends are still waiting for installation - been 2 months & no date in sight. They are thrilled they signed. I am skeptical. Another person I know has been installed and loves it; but when I asked question found that he had only had it for a month. Sader sounds great - too good to be true. However, something about signing away my tax breaks to them bothers me. I also was taught, have personally experienced, & truly believe that "if it seems to be too good to be true, it usually is." I wonder what happens if tax cuts are taken away or Sader disappears after a few years. Who gets stuck with the full payments? I doubt it will be Sader. I always do my due diligence research and did so this time. I contacted many solar providers. Most did not bother to return my calls and emails. However, I did find 2 or 3. South Coast Solar was the best - in price and responsiveness. In comparing my specs from them and Sader's info, Sader was charging many thousands more for the same amount of solar power. As I said, it seems too good to be true. After all, they are in business to make money not to be my friend and help me out. Buyer beware.
Description of Work: Called and emailed for estimates that were advertised.

Do not call them.
Description of Work: This company advertised installing solar panels with a lease contract of $45/month. I signed up for the service on their website, and I was hounded by 3 different people to fill out a maintenance agreement agreeing to the terms. Once I filled out that agreement, I never heard from them again. I think they are getting people to fill out maintenance agreements so it looks like they have a bunch of clients on paper for which they can claim solar panel tax breaks, even though they are not actually servicing them.

We won't do business with them, even if by some remote chance they decide to call us back.
Description of Work: We called to get an estimate. They told us they would call us back to set up an appointment date and time. A few weeks went by and no call. We called again and this time we did get a call back and set up a date and time that they would come out. That day came and went without another call from these people. I guess my business just wasn't that important to them.

It did not go well, or I should say it did not go at all. . These people are a mess. They are very disorganized. The local number is an answer service. They may think they are doing me a favor? Could be. I found two other companies that will do me the same favor who are better organized, do what they say, and give me less aggravation. Don't go with these people if you think they are the only company out there. They are many to chose from.
Description of Work: I contacted Sader in December seeing one of their adds I should have known better when the person answering the phone answered "how did you get my phn #?." I arranged for a meeting at my house. I was very interested in the program. I was aware of how the tax credits worked and the cost to me. The salesman handed me a contract to sign without any details on the system specifications. He told me he did not have the specs with him. I gave him my email, once on his note page and again on my business card. He was to email me the specs. Weeks went by. I texted him and left msg's. Nothing. I left my email again and again. During this time the company is continuing to advertise on TV. Should it take over a month for a reply? Why are they advertising for more clients when they can't handle what they have now? Very poor and unprofessional.
