Louisiana licensed and insured general contractor, License # 41938, over 35 years of experience. Fifteen reliable employees, contacts with subcontractors in all trades. Historical buildings a specialty.
They were horrible. Their craftsmanship was awful, and they didn't live up to what they said they would do. They took advantage of senior citizens and the quality of their work was terrible. Do not use this company.

Portico Construction did a wonderful job on all aspects of the project. They even helped us plan and prioritize the work that needed to be done. It can be difficult doing renovations to an old home, but Roger's team handled everything expertly. They came in under budget (even after we had to add new work to the project), and all work was completed well within the estimated timeframe. Roger was quick to address any questions we had about the work being done, and the end result was beyond satisfactory! I would recommend them for any project you have in mind.
Description of Work: Roger and his team ripped out the old vinyl sheet flooring in the kitchen, repaired the subfloor that was being eaten by live termites (and also worked with my termite guy to make sure everything was treated properly), installed a new subfloor and vinyl tile flooring. They also added gutters to a section of the house, repointed a few foundation piers, and replaced rotted subfloor in the bathroom under existing tile.

They handled the work in a timely fashion, communicated well, and in short left me feeling like I'd made a good choice.
Description of Work: Portico did work to repair and replace part of the foundation of a home with termite damage, including carpentry, tile work to repair cracked floor tiles, and other general things included in that type of work.

I can't speak highly enough of these guys. They're ethical craftsmen and Roger McCullough, the owner, is incredibly attentive to budget and input from homeowners. They're great about locating and incorporating historic architectural details (shutters, doors, transoms, etc.) They were as thrilled as we were when they began to pull the 1950's weatherboard facade off the front of our house to reveal the perfectly intact 1890's original cypress exterior.
Description of Work: Renovation of 120 year old home exterior and interior
