UPDATE: I would like to give credit where credit is due and being fair to the situation. After going back and forth a few times and explaining how I wasn't satisfied at all with the job that was performed. Pipes R Us redid the gas line for my generator and I'm now completely satisfied.~~ ORIGINAL: At first all seemed well. Then we got some rain and it leaked water into the gas line. They came out blew the line down and called it good. A week later we got more rain and it still leaked. Finally they dug up to expose the flexible gas line and came upon a union connection in the run that was under 50' in length. It shouldn't have a union connection at all with the length of the run. All they did was re-due the connection and call it good. They also incorrectly installed the drip leg at the meter. I emailed them with my displeasure and waiting for a response. It seems as though they used scrap parts from another job. There were two shades of yellow gas line at the union connection and a couple rusted fittings used at the meter that looked like they sitting in a bucket of water for a couple of weeks! This will be the first time I've had to report a company to the BBB! Unless

The gentleman who showed up was very discontent and smelled like he had been in a bar.

These guys have no clue.  They sent a guy out and explained the problems, showed him where the pipes were hissing, and where the kitchen floor was hot.  He then checked out the meter.  His response was that I had no water leak because, according to him, the meter was not showing any movement.  He said the hissing was merely air in my hot water line, and that the heat coming from my kitchen floor was merely the heat of the ground the slab was sitting on.  Two weeks later, when I continued to hear the hissing and the heat of my kitchen floor was even greater, I called them again because I was concerned the first guy didn't know what he was doing and asked that they send another plumber out to investigate.  They did, and this guy told me essentially the same thing.  About 2 weeks after that I began to have hot water for only about 5 minutes during a shower even though I have an 80 gallon hot water heater.  A week after that hot water began to bubble up from under my kitchen floor into the kitchen.  I called another plumber and a leak detector company and found, lo and behold, that I had a substantial hot water leak in a line under my slab, which was fixed by another plumber.  When I told them that Pipe's R Us had told me I had no leak because my water meter wasn't moving, they laughed, told me that apparently the Pipe's R Us guys didn't know how to read a water meter, and couldn't believe it when I told them that Pipe's R Us stated that the heat of my kitchen floor was caused by the heat of the ground underneath my slab.  I probably would not have had any water intrusion and damage to my kitchen floor but for the ignorance of Pipes R Us.

During my inspection a clog was found and at that time I was notified I would pay 225.00 need to have the clog cleared and not knowing any better I payed another 250.00 to have the inspection completed. My documentation says on invoice one clog was found and the other states two were found. I did not receive the second invoice until after closing on my home. The second invoice states that there was a clog cleared in my kitchen and one in the mainline.. Six months September 2013 after purchasing my home I found that there is a major break under my foundation. I contacted many different plumbers to assess the situation because of the severity. I now am having to tunnel between 50 and one hundred feet up under my home to fix this issue not one year since purchase. Being the videos was provided are so dark that nothing can be seen on them I have two professional opinions that have stated the documentation I was provided is false. The reason the documentation is questionable is because there is still an 8 foot galvanized pipe that runs into my attic for the air-conditioner and into the drain that separated from the main sewage line that was so compacted that there is no possible way a video was performed from this area. Being this is such a bold statement I have been sure I have two professional opinions that are in agreement that not only was proper inspections not completed but that the damage I am repairing is almost impossible to have happened in six months. Being my home is a Dept Veterans Affairs mortgage I will be contacting them as well as the Better Business Bureau to help ensure this does not happen to anyone else. When families individuals and hard-working people pay for a service we should get the quality service that we pay for. Take it for what it's worth but it could be worth losing your home if you could see the estimates I have regarding the repair of this issue. This could have been avoided.

It was a difficult job because of the location in a crowed attic.  The guys worked quietly and efficiently.  Very polite.  Cleaned up after themselves.  

Most days Pipes R Us was scheduled to work, they were no show's.  When they did arrive they were missing the tools necessary to complete the job causing them to leave early.  Their inability to work according to the schedule caused the entire job to run behind.  I worked with Danny and Aaron and they were equally inept and disappointing. They damaged the drywall that had recently been installed in 3 separate areas.  While they admitted they caused the damage, they also agreed to pay to have the contractor to make the necessary repairs. They never completed the job because the damage they caused cost more than the balance owed ($700) so they simply stopped showing up or taking our phone calls.  I then called Aaron from someone else's phone to see if he's answer; go figure he did.  When he realized it was me calling to get the job completed, he said "ah, well I guess you got me". It ended up costing me $4,000 to have the work they did corrected.  We reported them to the Louisiana Plumbing Board, but they said there was little to nothing they could do. Let's just say 2 weeks after moving into our home, I took a bath in one of the bathrooms they had completed only to have the water drain to the shower, then all over the floor in the bathroom and almost to our new Brazilian Cherry wood floors.  Upon calling another plumber out in an emergency, we found out they had a blockage in the new pipes...... ready for this one...... they left rags in the pipe.  Yes, I said left rags in the pipe.  This was just one of the many problems we had. WORD OF ADVICE, DON'T HIRE THESE GUYS.  THEY AWFUL, DISHONEST AND UNTRAINED.
