PIONEER GUTTERS

When I initially hired these guys to clean my gutters and downspouts, and do some minor repairs, as a one off, they did a decent job, and for a relatively good price. I signed a contract with them for multiple cleanings the following year. They didn't do a very good job, and didn't even unclog multiple downspouts. They informed me that 2 of my downspouts needed to be replaced, and they could not clean them. After some back and forth, I agreed to pay for the new downspouts, and they put them in for me, but they didn't do all the work they discussed with me, in great detail, and it took them a couple months. It has been about 4 months since I first tried to get an explanation of why they didn't clean my downspouts in the first place. Just an ok experience.

It went very well and cleaned gutters thoroughly.

Pioneer does excellent work. I've had them out twice. Both times they did a terrific job on the gutter. But what really impressed me was how clean everything was around the yard. Other than my gutters being immaculate, I couldn't any evidence that they had ever been there. Courteous too.

Scheduling difficulties and grossly overpriced. They would not confirm appointment date or time. Workers actually showed up ( I was told by Pioneer gutters ) on a date we did not agree on and I was not home so they did not do the job. Finally, two men show up when they were supposed and did an adequate job using a blower to remove debris from my gutters. We offered to pay in cash, the workers claimed they could not accept cash. I then called the office and she said the workers could absolutely accept cash. It was a headache dealing with this company so I will definitely not be using them again when there are so many others to choose from in my area.

It didn't go. They never bothered to contact me. We are going with another better-rated company now and recommending them to the block.

After the initial cleaning, it was almost impossible to get Pioneer Gutters to come back out on a schedule that made sense. In my mind, quarterly would seem like, every 4 months. Nope. 4 months, then six months. I even received a renewal notice in the mail when my contract was up without having received my last cleaning. Also, every time I would call and speak with them they were having either computer problems, had a new computer system installed or just couldn't find my information. It would take between 2-3 phone calls for them to be able to get me information about when I was on the schedule. I understand that yes, we are in a rainy climate, and yes they don't get on the roof when it is raining; but this company just doesn't seem to be run well. All that being said: every guy that came out to clean the gutters was nice and they always cleaned up the yard and alleyways as well as the neighbors yard if stuff went over the fence. ****Update**** I called them back to give them a second chance. Spoke to a polite woman on the phone who was willing to set me up for a new contract. She said she would have to talk to a manager about the two additional cleanings for free and would call me back and email me a contract. I've never heard back from them.

THEY ARE ALWAYS VERY THROUGH AND ARE IN AND OUT IN NO TIME. They are extremely good about cleaning the grounds before they leave so that there is no scattered debris from cleaning the gutters.

Only did half of the gutters. Left one side virtually untouched because and quot;the neighbors house was too close.and quot; Left a tree growing in that gutter.

I was very pleased with dealing with this company and the service they provided. They were prompt, informed, respectful, and professional. When the guys came out to clean they were prepared, experienced, thorough, and cleaned up completely after themselves. They were happy to talk with me and explain all they were going to do and made sure I didn't have any questions after they were finished.

I felt like they should have spent more time on the gutters because we were still experiencing problems.

Service was performed by the service provider on time as agreed.

I was very appreciative of the time that the owner took to evaluate my complex situation and for his honesty. He took a lot of time matching the color of my gutter -- and when they were installed, the match to other nearby gutters was perfect. The installation went off well and the workmen were efficient and friendly. They certainly did a much better job than I would have. I would recommend Pioneer.

I noticed my gutters had not been cleaned in about 6 months. I called them 3 times over several days and every time I got an answering machine. Then I e-mailed them. I got a call the next day (after the e-mail), saying my contract had expired. I told them I was not aware that it had expired but I would be happy to sign another contract and send money. I was told that day that they would e-mail a new contract (possibly even 2 contracts -- one for the year I missed and one for next year) within the same day. I told them I would be happy to sign a new contract and pay the money. However, they did not e-mail me anything. I e-mailed again, asking them to please send the contract, but received no reply. These people were reliable for a number of years, but I have to think they must have changed hands because they no longer return calls nor do they follow through on their promises to get back in touch. This is 5 times in one week (3 calls and 2 e-mails) that I have tried to get them out here -- you would think they'd be happy to take my money, but apparently they do not need the business. I am extremely disappointed. My neighbors across the street, to whom I recommended this company several years ago, tell me that the services they are receiving have gone downhill. The gutters on my house are full and overflow with every rain. Now I am afraid that damage is being done to the wood in the gutter area. I have also recommended this company to others in the past, but I will no longer do so. While this company has been good in the past, they appear to have just gone suddenly downhill. Not responsive and not professional. UPDATE: March 8, 2013. After I wrote a bad review, I finally was contacted by the company and a service was scheduled. I was glad to finally hear from them as they appear to be the only ones in town who offer this service (someone else made this point as well). The gutter cleaning they did was of good quality, although some of the boards on my house had been somewhat damaged by the gutters going uncleaned for so long before that. I am hopeful that they will be giving regular service from here on out. My hesitations about this company are concerning their responsiveness and whether they will keep track and clean my gutters regularly as they had until my recent unfortunate experience. The cleaning, when done, was good. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and raising my rating somewhat. If they keep going on a steady course, I could raise it again, but right now I've only had one cleaning.

They never did the work. We have called numerous times to schedule it (because there seems to be no one else in New Orleans who does this work) and they give us the run-around, promise to call us back, and then do not. I don't care if our gutters are so clogged they fall off the house, I will not use this company. In response to their response - we had a signed contract. My husband spoke with them several times, signed and faxed the contract back and was to be called to set up the work. They never called back. As I said originally, we tried over a period of several weeks to schedule it, but they were completely unresponsive. Don't blame us for your incompetence!

The job went very well. They worked quickly and neatly. We were very pleased with the service.

Gave prompt estimate, we mailed 50% check and signed contract, after check cleared, they made an appointment and the crew installed the gutters per schedule. Very happy.

I contacted the company online. I received a response within 24 hours. The proposal was emailed to me for review and confrimation. The cleaning was scheduled a few days later. The gutters was cleaned while I was work. Both the area around the house and the sidewalk were very clean when I arrived home. They also cleared the branches off of the roof. I am very pleased with the service and will use them again in the future.

They come out once a month. We have oak trees and magnolia trees and the gutters get full of leaves and we have never had any trouble because of them. I pay them annually for this service. They are terrific. They get up on ladders and blow the leaves out of the gutters and clean up after themselves. I would highly recommend them to others and we will continue to use them in the future.

Called Pioneer for an estimate and received a response within 24 hours. Within 48 hours a representative came out to give a free estimate, detail what materials would be used, and areas of future concern to consider if I decided not to gutter the entire house at this time. When they left I had an estimate complete with price, diagram of work to be done and written description in hand. The estimated value was what I paid. After a week and a second estimate, which was unremarkable, I called to set up an installation appointment and a second estimate to include all sides of the house (the $1194 value). The entire experience from first contact to final gutter installation was three weeks. The company had to come back out two days after installation because two of the deflectors were not removed. Also, 50% of the fee is due up front and 50% due upon completion. The second check was stolen/ missing. A second check was issued, minus the $28 stop payment bank fee as agreed upon. I would recommend a walk around to make sure all work matches the agreed diagram. I would also check your driveway/ work area for sharps (large shipping staples and screws) as cuts are made and materials unwrapped in front of the home. Otherwise you may find yourself with a slow leak or flat tire. This was not an issue for me, but I think it wise to be mindful of since I found some sharps in my driveway. Overall work was performed as agreed and within a fairly reasonable time period. What was not done as agreed, was corrected promptly. Complications were resolved fairly. Expect call backs within 24 hours.

I originally saw Pioneer Gutter Cleaning on NOLA Marketplace. They had a good rating on your website. I called and within a week a representative called to give me an estimate. The price he gave me was $160 for a one time cleaning or $420 for a year (4 cleanings). I opted for the yearly contract. They came out about a week later. First they called and told me when they would be here. When the representative was here, I asked if they could put a vent cap back on the furnas chimney that was blown off during the last storm. They called about 30 minutes before they arrived to see if I was home, and to get the rain cap. The job took them about an hour. I have a two story house with a single story den attached to the garage, and a patio cover. They cleaned all the gutters and the roof. They re-nailed some of the nails that had worked out. They repaired a downspout that was disconnected during Katrina. They even took dog toys that the grandkids had thrown on the patio roof. They hosed out all the gutters and downspouts. They cleaned the surrounding area and took it away. Overall they did an outstanding job.

After cleaning the gutters and my flat roof, they clean the yard, drive and sidewalk of leaves, etc. They'll make sure gutters are in working order. Workers are reliable and respectful. They'll cooperate if you need something extra such as a skylight washed off or mold cleaned off fascia.

Overall I was very pleased with my service. They do send a salesperson first and then schedule the actual cleaning after. The salesman showed up at 10 am instead of 3 pm, so it was a good thing I was home. I had them schedule my first cleaning while the salesman was still here. Cleaners showed up on time and were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves and left trash bags were I requested. They were quick and efficient and didn't waste my time or theirs. Rates were $200 for one-time; $320 for two-time and $550 for 4 time cleaning. I would use them again.
