The handyman, Peter, was great. He was on-time, polite, attentive, and came up with a great fix for the problem. He adhered and screwed a new piece of wood on to the old, making it sturdier, primed, painted, and even caulked around the entire attic access to make it less leaky. And, he cleaned the high part of our wall (12 foot ceilings) that other workers had gotten dirty.

Jacob was a total pro, start to finish. He was timely, courteous, well-informed and THOROUGH. I was delighted with the final result and very grateful to Jacob for the time he spent getting it just right. I also have been extremely pleased with the customer service I've received from Stephanie, Barry and Kelly from the office. Always pleasant, available and genuinely eager to help. By far the best experience I've had with a home repair company in New Orleans, hands down!

From the moment of contact to the finish of the job, every detail was swift and efficient. They are very well organized, courteous and reliable. Once John called with the quote, it was readily apparent how knowledgeable he was and appreciated his suggestions of the most cost effective repair. Jacob did a fabulous job on the repair. I really appreciated his attention to detail and being so prompt. Also, the office staff should be commended for being nice and helpful!

Merin came and repaired the sheet-rock on the ceiling in my garage that I tried to get the original company to fix their mistake but they would not. I waited 6 years before I would trust someone again and I thank God I did. Merin did an awesome job! He was very professional, courtesy and also cleaned up after himself. I am so happy with how meticulous he does his job, I am going to hire him to paint my whole garage, including the floor!

Great. He went above and beyond to find a replacement part for something I had duct-taped together. He said he could see how disappointed I was initially after he had gone to several stores and couldn't find the part, so he wasn't going to give up! And he found it. It really made my day. Very unusual to have a repair person seem invested in what I care about! The office is great to deal with as well.

This is my GO-TO company and I have used them many times in the past, and they never seem to disappoint. I am on a fixed budget, and they always work well with me. Marin takes great pride in his work, and he used a drop cloth to protect my porch, and cleaned up afterwards. He even took the trash with him. Once again, I am extremely pleased!!

It was all completed. The only thing that would've been better is a better cleanup job. There was a lot of sawdust left in the house from some sanding work. other than that, it was a great exprience.

The two man team of Jacob and Marin were fantastic! The wall paper turned out to be quite a chore as the builders used nearly 3 times the amount of glue than what was necessary. There were no complaints, just hard work. The sheet rock repairs and painting were absolutely first rate. The guys were on time every day and plugged away at the job with no distractions. The last day was only scheduled for a half day, but as earlier stated, there were set backs in the early stages. Once again, no complaints. The guys stayed until nearly 7:00pm to complete the job and we were not charged over the original quote. I have been putting the word out regarding One Man and a Toolbox to friends and neighbors. I am pleased to be able to promote this excellent organization on this platform as well. After several "lesser" workmen over the years, I am absolutely thrilled by the results. Call them today. You will not be sorry.

I have worked in maintenance for 3 years and dealt with numerous people and companies in LA for our locations. Finally I found a company that is reliable, dependable, consistent, friendly and makes my stressful job of maintaining over 50 clinics across 6 states worry free. Since I found One Man & a Toolbox Louisiana is the one state I do not have to worry about getting things done right the first time. I recommend them to anyone if you want great dependable service every time.

Don't bother calling these guys. This is not one guy, but a bigger operation. I made an appointment for someone to come out and give me an estimate for rehabbing a shed. The guy came out and told me he would have an estimate to me in a few days. Few days later, I got an email that said they couldn't do the job. It wasn't that big of a job, so I don't know what the deal was. I took it to mean they didn't want or need the work. Wasted my time showing him this project.

We explained that we couldn't push the service back because we were having guests over and that was the purpose for the cleaning. He sent someone else out to do the work, and while they really nice and worked hard, I don't think he worked for that business. I think that they just found somebody to fill in for them.

Fantastic. One Man and a Toolbox called me right after I accepted the proposal and scheduled the work. The painting crew was punctual, friendly and did a fantastic job. The carpenter was also punctual and friendly, making recommendations for things I might need to consider in the future. My house looks terrific, I'm very impressed.

We've used him many times and have had excellent results. They did have a problem on the job, but they resolved it very quickly.

It started out great, I call the office told them what I was looking for. I was contacted and set up a appointment to see the work I wanted done, they showed up on time told me that they would have their master carpenter come to look at the house and see what we wanted, He came by on a Friday he was on time was very nice and knowledgeable my wife was excited to start on upgrading the house. We were told that we would have a est by the following Wednesday, we never got one. I called him on Friday no answer so I called the office they were closed for the weekend. On Monday I called the carpenter again no awnser them the first man who came out to the house he said that he would get with the carpenter then the office called to let them know what was going on and was told some one would get back with me. It is now Thursday I have not heard from any one. If they did not want the job I wish they would have told me and not wasted 3 weeks of my time

He couldn't complete all the work today, but I knew those doors would need to be rebored (spelling?) to fit the new hardware in them and that takes a lot of time, but he got the most important tasks done and just means he'll have another list of tasks to work on sooner than expected. Watch out Joel, Grammy is taking a liking to you and may start insisting on sending you home with goodie packages when you clock out for the day. =+D

Carpentry went fine. Had to call the painter back to cut in area that were not completely painted. Painter responded to performed work as required.

She was very pleased with Joel (I believe that is his name) and his performance on the various tasks she requested to be done. He's been out here twice and she's not disappointed at all and asked me to post this message. Personally he is indeed a very nice and honest fella, I would recommend these folk (don't be fooled by the company name, there are about nine folk here from what I understand).

Within a day of our acceptance of the cost proposal, the office was in contact with us to schedule the work. The crew arrived as scheduled and immediately began work. From there, the work proceeded smoothly and efficiently. Each task (pressure washing, minor repairs, removal and replacement of 4 screen doors & house painting) was performed in a professional and efficient manner by individuals that were not only well qualified, but also very polite and courteous. This is the third time that we have use the services of "One Man" and once again have been very pleased with all aspects of their operation. We have a list of other projects that we will be having then perform in the future. The work was performed as promised, on time and within the written estimate that was provided. We are very pleased.

He was so professional and good. He suggested to make the ladder more supportive because the timber would involve the structure of the house. The price went up because of that suggestion, but they worked with us to make it affordable, and it was a necessary change to not damage our roof. It was timely and I felt they did a great job.

The 2 men who repaired our deck, fixed the laundry area doorway and hung my heavy art pieces on porch came in Nov. or Dec 2015. They were both knowledgeable, professional and fast workers. One of them had to go buy the porch railing board and the bolts needed to install the two art pieces. They were not comfortable removing the two huge pieces of mirror that were glued behind my bar area and were honest enough to tell me that. They called Barry Hymel, the man who initially came out and gave me an estimate for all the work, for advice and assistance. Barry came back to house to look at the issue, and recommended that his drywall man come fix the wall behind the bar. I had done some research on the best way to remove mirror that large, and my husband and I took a couple of days and taped the entire mirror surface with duct tape. Barry actually returned with the dry wall man and helped remove the mirrors. We all held our breath as it was pried away from the sheetrock and hauled out... none of it broke - I was impressed!! The sheetrock and a section of our ceiling (popcorn!) was repaired to perfection! I am calling them again if I need more work done!

They were honest cleaned the area and left no remaining trash. This was the only effortless service on my part that I ever requested. The response was within a week as promised, the install took the time promised, the price for the work was reasonable and repairmen came on time as promised. Nothing was missing from the yard and I appreciate their taking the time to secure the locks. I will definitely use this service again and tell friends, family, and anyone I meet.
