Very well! They were very responsive and worked around my schedule. We weren't sure if it could be repaired or if it would need to be replaced, but they were able to repair it.

I have one good issue, one bad issue, but there were two different people in the same company. The job they did was terrific, but what they were supposed to do was different. That's my dilemma. The people who actually did the work, I would say it's an "A", but the person who made the quote and was in charge of it I would give a "C." The person who was in charge is named Randy. I saw him, I called him, he was very punctual in showing up, and then I never saw him again, ever. I had a phone call conversation with him but that was it. We had some issues. But the two people who actually showed up and did the work were fantastic. I wanted the top real of the ADA ramp changed because it was all pitted and cracked and weatherbeaten. And Randy told me that I don't need it changed, they can just sand it out. I did not understand how they could do that because it's cracked all the way through. But he convinced be and he gave me the price for a sand out which was $1850, and that was with five gallons of paint. Well when the guys got here, the carpenter and the painter looked at it and said "you'd be sanding this thing for two days. It's cracked all the way through. If you sand all the cracks out you'll have no top rail left. Why don't you just let us change it out?" I said "that's what I wanted in the first place but Randy said no." So then when he called Randy to get the authorization Randy said "No. That's not what the bid was for." He said "but you can't do it. hey look a belt sander and an hour and I can get it sanded." I said "evidently your interpretation of what's good and my interoperation of what's good is two different things. I want it to look good, not just be smooth with a bunch of cracks." So he finally okayed the guy to go ahead and change them but he had me pay for all the extra wood, the nails, the paint, which he assured me he was going to take care of the five gallons of paint because it was in the bid. I had to pay for it anyway. That's why the difference is between $1850 and $1986. Because of the paint, and the screws. And after a long discussion at the end of the job I got him to take an hour of labor off which was I think $60. I said "That's fine. If you're going to meet me a little bit I'll accept that because it's really pointless to argue anymore." And the problem is the people who actually showed up to do the work were excellent. They were here every single day on time. In fact they were even sitting in their truck 20 minutes waiting for the 8 o'clock, and if I had known that I would've said "go ahead and start." So the people doing the work were excellent but the person in charge of the job was not. But like I said I never saw him so it's hard to dock the job on something the manager did. And that's what I've been trying to figure out for the last two months. How am I going to word this because I don't want to take away from the two workers because they were perfect. Every step of the way they said "hey come look at this, see if this is ok for you. Come look at this. Hey come check this out is this what you want?" They were great. But I never heard from Randy again until the very end, and that was only on the phone. He should've been at least stopping by and checking on the job. He bid on it and everything. That's why I saw my dilemma was it's hard to take away from the job because the job was performed admirably but the management wasn't up to snuff.

As always, One Man and A Tool Box is my go to company. I'm older and sometimes just need a little help around the house doing things I can no longer do. John is always so pleasant and gives me the best advice to help save money!

The worker was very nice. We were quoted $500 to completely replace the back exterior door. The worker explained he could probably repair the door for cheaper. The repair cost ended up being $480 after a $40 discount because my husband commented that he thought the repair would be cheaper. He surrounded the door and filled in nail holes and cracks with non-paintable silicone. After trying to paint the door frame and realizing it couldn't be, my husband messaged him and told him about the mistake. He came back a few weeks later to finish the project, because he didn't have all of the tools to properly repair the door. He apologized and tried to remove as much of the bad caulking as possible, but there is still a good bit left. So after spending $573 I have a door frame that is fixed, but can not be painted properly or the surrounding wall. I'll either have to pay someone to replace the decorative frame again, or spend hours trying to remove all the silicone.

The technician who came out was very nice, punctual and did the job to the best of his knowledge,as to what needed to be done. My problem was that the technician was not sent the complete work order nor was the work order correct. I ask to have the drywall replaced in an area that had damage and painted. All that was done was sanding of the old dry wall, spackling, and paint. I could have done that myself. I called One Man and A Tool Box because I do not know how to replace dry wall. The hatch area was done correctly but I was over charged on the time to complete that. All in all the job was not completed as I had asked when I initially contacted them. It also took forever to schedule an appointment date because they wanted a certain guy to do the work but they sent someone else instead anyway. I called and complained about the fact that the work being done was not what I asked when they came to do the estimate. I was charged $475 for a job that probably could have had someone else do for half the price. So I feel they took advantage of me and the work was not completed. I gave a D for the quality because it wasn't the actual quality of the work it was the fact that the work was not done to what I asked for and the price gouging. Gary seemed nice enough and did what he was sent to do.

Marin was very prompt, I literally watched the clock tic to 8am(the time I was told that Marin would be there) and Marin was getting out of his truck. So nice to not have to sit around waiting for a workman to arrive. I also liked the reminder call the day before. He was very polite and very professional. He made all the necessary preparations to my hallway to make sure that nothing would be damaged. He let me know what he was planning on doing and what I could expect. He was very knowledgeable and went right to work after buying the supplies needed to do the job. He never stopped working nor did he stop for lunch. The work he did was excellent and I would highly recommend him and One Man and a Toolbox. Great job! See before and after photos below.

We are very pleased with his work, as always, and are looking forward to additional work this summer involving pressure washing and painting some areas on our house. One Man and a Tool Box has performed various work for us over the years, and the technicians are reliable, professional, honest, friendly, and affordable. We have recommended them to many of our friends and plan to call on them again.

It went well, and they did great work. My suggestion to those using them would be to be very articulate about the entire amount of work you need; they did not repair/replace the old hinge holes nor repaint to fully "finish" the job. That being said, I didn't indicate I wanted that specifically.

It went very well. Very professional worker and very professional company. Would definitely hire again.

I specifically requested extensive caulking and the proper coat of paint. The two workers were in a hurry to leave. I demanded another coat of paint, and they did not do this properly. The work is already showing signs of decay. Honestly, this is typical of the work product that I received from all Angie's list companies, a high price and the same substandard result.

The office called and assisted with scheduling. The technician took over with planning, communication and the completion of the project. Very satisfied.

Peter and Barry were the greatest. Very professional - excellent work at a more than fair price. Would use them again in a heartbeat.

They are always prompt & professional. They are a very reliable, and very pleasant company to do business with. I use them for all my handyman projects.

One Man & A Toolbox came out to do the gutter cleaning- they cleaned the inside of the gutters but did not clean the outside of the gutters. He told me that the outside was not included and that I did not specify that I wanted the outside cleaned. He then said that he didn?t have the equipment to clean the outside and that he would have to come back and it would be an additional charge. I called the office and the receptionist seemed oblivious as to what I was talking about. I am very unsatisfied, if I request a gutter cleaning I expect them to clean the inside and outside. Had I known that it was just the inside, I would have shopped around for another company.

Great. John explained many features of our new home (first-time buyers) and gave us excellent advice.

Randy comes out first for the estimate and work that needs to be done. You schedule with the office, and then Randy's team comes out and fixes the problem. Turns out that our framing was interior, so it had to be replaced with exterior wood. And it looks great.

Marin came and put all my stuff in middle of garage because it was going to pour Tuesday and didn’t want all my stuff wet. Then he sweep and cleaned and primed the ceiling and walls. The next day he came and painted the ceiling one color and the walls and the door into my home a different color. (Paint paid for by me) Then he cleaned up after himself and swept the garage again. You cannot find a trace of him except for the change of color in my garage. It’s bright and looks much bigger. Very happy!

Jeremy did an awesome job installing two closet rods for me. Price was fair and work was excellent. One Man and a Toolbox are my new "go to" guys!!!

He came out the same day we initially called to do an inspection and get us a quote. The quote was very reasonable and rendered in a short time. He was able to fix all of the holes, match the color tones of the house, and perform a professional paint job. He did a great job and you cannot tell there was ever any damage. He knows what he's doing. He is also great to talk to.

FANTASTIC (no pun intended). Extremely happy with the installation. Coming back to do a larger job. Very professional group. Trust them implicitly.

G. Alexander came out to do the work listed above. He did an excellent job and I would not hesitate to have him do any future repairs that I have.
