Great! I have used One Man and a Tool Box many times and have always been happy with their service. They do great work, are timely, and have always been prompt with communication.

These ppl were TRUE professionals. They were quick & clean and nice. I have several projects that I am DEFINITELY hiring them for. I'm soo glad my best friend told me about Angie's List. This is a life saver.

I hired One Man and a Toolbox to repair some siding and door frames that were water damaged on the front of my home. Initially, they were very responsive and friendly, and sent a man named Leonard. He looked at the work, gave me a reasonable quote, and promised to return when I had pressure washed the home. I then had trouble getting in touch with him for several weeks, at which point I called the main office and was told that he no longer worked there. They gave me the number for another employee, Kennedy, who came out to the house and quoted me $100 more for the same job. I accepted because I needed the work done immediately before it started to mold. It took him several weeks to schedule a time to actually do the work, and when he did, he only did about a quarter of the work that was expected, gave me a flyer for his personal business, and had me sign a contract with his personal business stationary instead of One Man and a Toolbox. I called the office afterward and was told that he had ALSO been fired. I talked to the owner of the company because I was upset that the job hadn't been completed, and was told that it was MY responsibility to call the office to find out that he was fired, and that basically there was nothing they could do for me. Furthermore, the first guy that came out (Leonard) was fired in January even though he came to my house and had me sign a One Man and a Toolbox contract in February but still they claimed no responsibility for that. So basically, I'm stuck with a half done job and as an elementary school teacher, cannot afford to hire someone else to complete the job at this time. I am VERY disappointed with One Man and a Toolbox and would NEVER recommend someone use this company.

A friend who relocated to Texas after Hurricane Katrina requested my assistance to have some small repair jobs done on a house she recently inherited in Metairie, This One Man and a Tool Box Company was willing to do the small repairs and deal with the out of town owner for payment. Jeremy was the technician who came to the house to perform the work .Jeremy was punctual, knowledgeable and very honest. Jeremy helped with an older car that needed a battery jump and air for the tires, painting a small water spot on the ceiling, fixing an issue with a toilet, some cosmetic concerns and was able to properly diagnosis an issue with a wall switch and kitchen lights. I strongly you consider Jeremy and this company .

Painting was excellent. Shawn (?sp) did the original visit & made some arrangements about work that the actual workers would not keep. The other work was fine except the closet rods - one was installed too high to use, but the company is going to redo this task when I'm ready. Their bid for the bathroom remodel was too expensive - I used another company for that project.

Kirk was amazing. He was very responsive and got the done quickly.

Amazing! Came out the very next day, fixed it in a matter of hours, and you would never know that anything had happened. Seamlessly perfect and it cost what i was secretly hoping it would.

Elvis and Merin did a wonderful job. They were very pleasant, arrived exactly when they said they would, were very quiet when they were working and cleaned up after themselves as if they were never there. I highly recommend One Man and a Toolbox!

Overall, we are very pleased with the services provided by One Man and a Toolbox. There were a couple of bumps along the way with the original two men who were assigned to do our work, but Josh and Happy came through in the end and finished the job well, on time, and on budget. Stephanie in the office was lovely to deal with, and both Stephanie and Josh responded quickly to text, emails, and phone calls. We definitely would use One Man and a Toolbox again in the future.

They visited twice and both times we were very pleased with the results.

The contractor was very professional. He arrived on time both days. He accessed the issue before he began work. It was necessary because he was going behind another contractor who was paid, but was not able to fix the problem. He was very meticulous in how his work was done. He took his time and did a very good job. Also, he left the area very clean. He even made sure the soffett was clean. I am so pleased with his work, I've told all my friends. He guaranteed me that the overhang would never fall again! Great job!!!

Office was great in arranging. Technician did not call. I allowed 2 additional hours before calling office and was rudely cut off as I was explaining my disappointment. She had the technician call me and he said he was at another job-understandable, however HE gave the time he would be available.Did not call, as courtesy, to say he was delayed. After I called to find out whether he forgot, he said he was “on his way” and would be about 30 minutes. Forget it. Acted as if my time is not valuable. On to the next company...

Messrs. Heald and Martin were talented craftsmen and took care of what needed to be done. However, I thought the price was high.

John Heald is the most professional contractor I have dealt with. Very helpful and concerned about doing quality work rather than just collecting money. He will always tell you the best thing to do for you and not their pocketbook. I will only be using this company in the future.

Jacob and Jeremy really put a lot of thought into giving us a both practical and aesthetically pleasing option to our lattice work. Jeremy was on time, communicative and a joy to work with.

All work was done to my complete satisfaction.

I was not going to write a review, as we did not hire this company, but after the way I was treated I thought it necessary. Everything started off well, Randy was very punctual and polite. He came to give me an estimate on 4/16 for tread and crown molding installation. I explained to him exactly what I wanted done and he joked that mine was a small job (throughout the meeting he asked at-least three times if this is all.) He took pictures and wrote down what needed to be done. He told me that I would have the estimate by that Wednesday, 4/18. When I had not heard from him I texted him asking for the estimate around 5 that evening. I did not hear back from him until 9 the next morning saying that I will have the estimate by days end. I did not hear from him or receive any estimates. I texted him AGAIN on 4/20 stating that I still had not received the estimate and never heard back from him. I called him twice on 4/22 and both times I was sent to voicemail. I called again this morning and again was sent to voicemail. I left a voicemail stating that I was interested in getting work done and requested that he call me back. A few hours later I received a call back from the company. Randy, the original person who came out, never even bothered to call me back but instead sent my number to the answering service for the company. When I spoke to them this morning and explained that I had already had someone come out and that I just needed my estimate, their demeanor changed. The woman over the phone had an attitude and treated me poorly. She told me that they had already sent me my estimate via email, but then in the same breath told me that she could not find me in their system. After I gave her all of my information again she finally sent me my estimate. For every job I get done in my home I get at least three estimates. This was the highest BY FAR- $3000 for five stair treads (no banisters included) and $1000 for crown molding installation in just one room and I would have to provide all materials. For comparison I received another estimate from an Angie's list certified, super service award recipient for $1200 for the stairs and $400 for the crown molding installation. Long story short, DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY IF YOUR JOB IS "SMALL". THEY WILL RAISE THE PRICE BECAUSE THEY DO NOT WANT TO WORK ON SMALLER JOBS. THEY WILL IGNORE YOUR PHONE CALLS/TEXT MESSAGES, LIE ABOUT SENDING ESTIMATES, AND CATCH AN ATTITUDE IF YOU CALL THEM OUT ON IT. VERY RUDE 0/10. I do not know how this company still has an A rating. This company has over 200 positive reviews, I wonder how many of them are actually legitimate.

Came to look at a project and was told they would get back with me within a couple of days. Have yet to hear back and it has been two weeks.

I had 2 bathrooms renovated. Joel Marin did a great job. My bathrooms look fantastic! Huge difference!! They are very nice and trustworthy guys. Great experience!

Ultimately, I decided to use another vendor. However, this company impressed me with their professionalism and prompt responses to my queries.

Beyond scope of services offered by company. Advised what type of agency to contact to fix issue. Would use again.

Perfect the people in this company are very professional and understanding from the people in the office to man that came out for the repairs I'm very pleased with the job I had done he was net and cleaned after the work like he was never there that was important because the job was being done doing daycare hours.

Job was done in the time promised and for the estimate price. Work was exceptional. Will definitely hire again.
