They were excellent. I would recommend them. They did some training for the kids, his sons, to have to work with him and showed how to use tools.

I called John Heald's office and scheduled an appointment for 3:00 PM the same afternoon. However, he was delayed by traffic due to heavy thunderestors and did not arrrive until 5:00 PM. Both he and his office manager called me during that 2-hour period to assure me he was enroute. Upon arrival he quickly repaired the french doors by adjusting the hinges and the hole for the locking device. Although not on his order sheet, he happily agreed to take care of the refrigerator and window lock. When finished, I asked him what I owed him. He said "nothing." He added that since he had made me wait for two hours, he wold not charge me for the one hour it took him to make the repairs, which were all attended to. An extraordinary response and very much appreciated. I recommend him without reservation for all sorts of house repairs.

Expert Renovations did a good job!!

John was very professional and proficient. He went out of his way to do a good job including extra caulking and going to the store to buy the right sized flexible connectors. He arrived on time, cleaned up, gave me estimates on other projects, gave me the price beforehand, etc. I can't say enough good things about him and plan on hiring him again.

Repairman showed up on time and completed the job in about six hours. Later that night, I detected what appeared to be a darkened area that was possibly a leak in the area just repaired. I watched it over the next two days because the leak wasn't much and it dried quickly. By the third day there was no doubt, it was still leaking, and was stained. I called John and he responded right away. This time I was there when he arrived. He was very apologetic and started searching for the source of the leak. He found the problem which was a slow drip leak in the valve stem of the cold water faucet of the bath tub. He went out and bought the part and installed it. There was no additional charge for the work. I intend to use him for some additional work.

This was one of the best experiences I have ever had when trying to get work done on my home. John came out and discussed any questions I had regarding the work I needed done. He was very thorough and gave me ideas on future jobs. His wife, Kellie, was very nice and easy to talk to. The work was excellent and the young man who worked on the house was very pleasant and polite. He was also very knowledgeable and good at his job. We are very pleased with One Man And A Toolbox and plan to contact him for other jobs that will be coming up.

It went great as always when we deal with One Man and a Toolbox. Johnny knocked out the whole list and we were very satisfied with the quality of his work and his dedication to the job. All tasks requested were completed and, as there was time left over, they performed other tasks that were not "on the list". The individual, Johnny "Payola", that performed the tasks was competent, friendly and professional. He called and asked if I could receive him earlier than the arranged time (which was very welcome). I will ask for Johnny specifically when I call One Man & A Toolbox again.

Provider's wife showed up with a handyman skilled in the type of tasks discussed before scheduling the work. The handy man was told the tasked to be accomplished and he set to work. Steady worker - on his cell phone a lot but accomplished the work set out in the time frame allowed.

The appointment went well. We presently are evaluating whether to go forward with any or all of the projects based on the expert and thoughtful feedback given. We requested business cards at the end of the appointment because we plan to recommend consideration of One Man & A Toolbox, LLC to family and friends for their home maintenance and improvement needs.

Did a very good job of repairing and preventive work to make sure this didnt happen again

It took a while, more than one visit but a lot of work was involved. We have had no problems since the repair. When I needed more work, I called them. They came within 24 hours and completed the work. .

Arrived, fixed the problem-no charge. He said I had the part, less than 5$., fixed in in 5 minutes- Asked me to write a review.

One Man & a Toolbox did a fabulous job! I anticipated this to be a much bigger job than it was. John came in and said, "If this were my wall..." (I loved hearing that!). Thank you, John, for your honesty! They are very kind and professional. Absolutely love their work!

This handyman service is better than most formal contractor services. All my phone calls were cheerfully returned. All conversations were friendly and personable. Scheduling was done to accommodate me. This was a two-day job that turned out to be a bit more difficult than I thought. Jimmy was the technician. He was very friendly and very professional. It seemed he was very knowledgeable about stone and backsplashes. The final result was just beautiful. Also, the ceiling now has no sign that there was ever a leak. Payment was the easiest thing because they actually take credit cards, and do not require payment until services are rendered. I could go on and on, but I'd like the reader to hire them to see for yourself that not everything that sounds too good to be true is a gimmick. These guys are the real deal.

John arrived on schedule and proceeded to go about repairing the problems the doors had. He performed his work as an experience craftsman and wasn't satisfied until repairs were done right.

Do NOT hesitate to call John and Kelley. This was my first time having to call on someone to come into my home for repairs, and I am so excited that I made the right choice. Will defintely use them again, and again, and again! As well as in my parents home.

Performed handyman chores around my new home, ex.-hung mirrors, drapery rods, etc. I would/will use them again. Terrific!!

I have had bad experiences with "Handymen" in the past. I used Angie's List to find One Man and a Tool Box (John's company has grown--he has like 9 employees now). So don't let the name fool you in thinking it's just him and a toolbox--I saw 3 of his vehicles and all are labeled with the name of the company and stocked to the gills with tools and equipment (he even has a van-mounted generator thing so if a job site doesn't have power, no problem). We had 2 guys plus John (owner) on site everyday for the 2 day project. The estimate was itemized and emailed to me a day after John came to our house (and he came to do the estimate very promptly). At the completion of the project, he presented me with the Lowe's receipts and I paid that total plus his labor (no charging for going to get materials and then up-charging on the materials). All work above was performed professionally and with consideration of our dog and us (they would stop using the nail gun or saw when they heard me answer the phone). The work site was kept neat and tidy and was totally cleaned up when done (so many other 'handymen' have left surprise trash, nails, etc. scattered about). They also hauled off ALL of the trash and did not just stack it at the end of the driveway. I had bead board placed around the island and it was done perfectly--I cannot tell where the seam between the 2 pieces is. The trim work on the island also is superb and looks terrific. As happens with many small projects, ours morphed into a slightly larger project (I was going to reuse the base boards around the island but then decided to get new ones) and John always said "not a problem at all." He made this job, from start to finish, very easy and stress-free! His card is posted on my bulletin board now--I know I will be calling him again and recommend him highly!

The phone was answered quickly and initial responsiveness was better than average. Getting the quote took longer than promised, but not an unreasonable time frame. The staff was friendly and easy to access. When we received the quote it was laid out in a clear and professional manner. However, the prices were outrageous for some line items, such as $85 for screwing in an a/c vent panel - which would take all of 2 minutes, and other items. I cannot speak to the quality of their work, as we decided to get several other quotes and those were much more appropriately priced.

Unfortunately I was not able to take advantage of this deal because I live outside of this service provider's service area. They did get a hold of me within a very timely manner to inform me of this. They were very friendly and professional over the phone. I just could not take advantage of this deal.
