One Man & A Toolbox LLC

The doors had to be repaired on the bottom of the door. The handyman was able to repair the problem, however now when we close the doors they don't fit flushly in the frame. They actually bow out when closed. They sent another handyman to address those along with repainting our upstairs wooden French doors and to replace another exterior door. He painted the wooden French door and then left to pick up the exterior door my wife had purchased. He was gone for three hours on this errand. By the time he got back, he just dropped off the new door (which still hasn't been hung) and he never even looked at the metal French doors like he was supposed to. Our bill was for $175 for all three services, only one of which has been completed. They have yet to even contact us about paying the bill. I am not quite certain what's going on.

I noticed that One Man and a tool box was rated very well on Angie's list so I called him to come give me an estimate on some work that I need on my home. He came out as scheduled. Looked at the job to be preformed, Stated that he will have me an estimate in about 2 days and it has been 2 weeks and I'm still waiting for the estimate. I have contacted him several times and he very seldom answers the phone. When he does he inform me that the estimate was sent to my email. I informed him that I never received it. After several attempts to contact him he refuse to answer the phone or return any phone calls. I am not sure what is going on but my feeling is he do not want the job. It that is the case he should just let me know and stop wasting my time with these unproffesional games. I am also very disappointed in Angie's list as to how the company got such a rating being what I have been put thru my this company. I have lost all trust in Angie's list and will not be renewing my membership.

HE WAS GREAT. HE WAS PROMPT, ANSWERED ALL OF MY QUESTIONS, GAVE SUGGESTIONS, WAS EASY TO TALK TO AND SENT THE ESTIMATE WHEN HE SAID HE WOULD.

I give this company and the man they sent to do the job professional all the way. Kelly was extremely polite, friendly and easy to relate to. The handyman they sent was very nice and polite. He arrived on time and was professionally dressed for the job at hand. He had everything he needed to do the entire job and never had to leave because he forgot something needed to do the job. My chair rail looks great! So pleased with this company and it's employees, I'm going to hire them for a plumbing job I need fixed. Obviously, I would hire them again.32

We had an old wooden shed in our back yard that had over the years started falling apart. I contacted One Man & A Toolbox to get a cost to demolish the shed and "put together" a new polyurethane shed that I had purchased from a "big box" store. The lady that I dealt with, Kelley Heald, was very prompt returning the estimate, which was pretty close to what I had anticipated it would be. We set a start date and were ready to begin, but before we got started, I realized that the base on which the old shed was sitting was not in as good a shape as I had thought, so I called Kelley and asked her for a revised proposal to remove the old platform and construct a new base to support the new shed, again, she was quick to respond. With this revised cost proposal in hand (again close to what I had anticipated) we were again ready to start; however because of delays created by another firm performing work for me, I had to twice delay the start of the work to be performed by One Man & A Toolbox. Kelley was very accommodating and worked with me on the rescheduling. Once we finally began the project, the two (2) men (Bud & Jody) that were assigned the work arrived on time and ready to begin. Work began and proceeded smoothly (Bud & Jody had previously performed similar work) until they got to a point where they needed clarification, this is when they discovered that the assembly instructions were not included with the shed kit. Instead of taking the attitude that "it was my problem to solve" Bud & Jody took it upon themselves to contact the manufacture & downloaded the assembly instructions. After that, the work was successfully completed. I want to note that both Bud & Jody were very courteous, knowledgeable, and professional to work with. I have already notified One Man & A Toolbox that we are assembling a list of other small projects that we need done around the house (and that I don't have time to do) and will be getting proposals from them to perform the work. We have also requested that if possible, Bud & Jody be assigned to perform the work. My wife & I were more that satisfied with the cost and quality of the work performed by One Man & A Toolbox, additionally, the professionalism and knowledge that they exhibited was extraordinary. We highly recommend One Man & A Toolbox and will definitely be using their services in the future

Everything was wonderful! I've used this company multiple times before and his work has always been great! At least now I have someone I can trust to come and help with repairs around my house.

At first, it seemed like a good deal. However, they came out and toward the end of the day; they did a few jobs that were thrown together. They hurried. The guy attached a piece of the door with caulk instead of nails – so it broke. I called about that, and they said they’d contact me. They never did. Overall, I was pleased with their work, but I wasn’t happy with their follow up. They were very clear on what I'd need to pick up for supplies.

Excellent job. The young man was very courteous and very professional. Did job in under an hour. Very pleased with his work. Plan on using them in the future as needs arise.

The finishing was good and price was competitive. Reaching out to them was sometimes difficult especially after the job because it's a small team that's why they do have difficulty in trying to meet everyone.

This has been a truly wonderful experience!! We started with the list from the home inspector for my townhouse purchase and the projects grew from there. All the craftsmen who worked on my townhouse were on time, polite, and truly professional. I cannot describe the quality of their work except to say the outcome is completely fabulous! I do not use the word craftsmen lightly. These men were a delight and I plan to depend on them for years to come!!!

Overall, back to front, I was very happy with the company, even though they were unable to help me with this particular issue.

They were very professional and responsive. Their price was fair and they provided a detailed quote before starting the work. I would recommend their services for light maintenance and repairs. We were turning over a rental unit and it worked well for us.

They arrived on time, did everything I asked and more. For example I had a roof leak and they actually provided the sealant and nails at no additional cost to me. This is the 4th time I've had these people do work at my house. The most I spent was $4,000 and the least was $400. I have recommended them to many of my friends and they have all been completely satisfied. At one time or another we have all had nightmares with contractors. I hired One Man and A Toolbox for their Handyman For A Day service, which was perfect for me as I had a variety of broken items and small things that needed to be done but I hadn't gotten around to, such as changing kitchen cabinet knobs. I initially spoke with Kelley, who was extremely polite and friendly while explaining the service (Handyman at the home for 8 hours to fix any and everything on a pre-written list) and encouraging me to look around my house and put every little thing that needed to be fixed on my list. Christian arrived right on schedule and stayed and worked the full 8 hours, fixing a large variety of household problems big (replacing the collapsed shelving pictured above with new shelving) and small (reattaching a broken towel rack) while maintaining a friendly and polite demeanor, even when I asked him to add something to the list. I hopefully won't have such a large to-do list next time, but I will definitely call again with any other needs.

Both Alan and Christian were top notch! They spent about a week and half with us working on several projects, and were like family by the end of the project. Both were very professional and talented in their craft. They also remained flexible as we added projects and took a couple off the list. We had a great experience with John. He was responsive to our questions and gave us his bid within a few days. Although he was slightly higher then a few other bids, we felt comfortable with his guarantee of the work to be completed. He was also available when we wanted to add to the project list. Kelly was also very responsive when we called for questions and information. Overall we were very pleased with our service and worked completed. I would highly recommend One Man & A Toolbox!!

It’s a group of people that work for this company called One Man & a Toolbox LLC. They were able to come out, they answered our calls, and he explained everything that needed to be done. He went and got all the materials and he showed me the receipt so that I’m not paying more for the materials than what I paid for. He is quick and very knowledgeable. To be honest with you I didn’t call anybody else, but I definitely did not feel that I was taken advantage of because they were able to come out so quickly and take care of what I needed.
