Within one day they sent Barry out(wonderful guy). He walked through, made suggestions, and went back to talk to his team before creating an estimate. The estimate arrived and was perfectly in the ballpark I'd imagined. He returned with a couple of men and knocked out all the work listed above in 2 days and the place looked brand new with no trace they had even been there. Even though it lasted only two days, Barry updated me on their progress each day. Overall this experience has been great.

I can only say next time we need work done this is the only people I will call!!

The task was performed by One Man and a Tool Box. Allen, the gentleman who performed the work was very thorough and personable. As we have discovered, the individuals associated with One Man are very knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with.

I called on a Monday and had an appointment for the following Wednesday. Jacob, called ahead of time on the day of the appointment. He had a previous job end early and called to see if he could arrive sooner. I agreed but appreciated the 'heads up' as I've had contractors come early without calling and that disrupts my household. Jacob came over, shook my hand, and proceeded to survey the work to be done. He said the work looked straight forward but wanted to check back with his office before giving a quote. He took a large sample (he had tools to drywall the spot back) and gave an estimate for the paint. I wanted the job done ASAP. He went, had the paint matched to his sample, returned with a negotiated price, then patched the drywall sample area, laid plastic, then Got down to painting. I could tell as he started with the trim, that he had matched the existing color well. My children were in a connected room at a table doing school work. Jacob, worked quickly, quietly, and efficiently without disturbing us. The only disadvantage was my wife came home 15 minutes early and I couldn't surprise her. But jacob was packing up as she came in and also took time to introduce himself and shake her hand. I paid via check as Jacob moved furniture and kid clutter back into place. Very good service. Will recommend and call again.

Overall this was a very good experience and I will definitely hire this company again for other repairs to my home. Eddie and Jacob arrived and removed my broken attic ladder and were even able to reuse the trim which I thought needed to be replaced. They worked quickly, were professional and courteous, and cleaned up after themselves. At first I had a bit of sticker shock about the price for labor, since the replacement ladder only cost about $200. But this was a labor intensive, two-man job. I am happy to report that I am very pleased with the results and look forward to working with them in the future. Thank you, One Man and A Tool Box.

We called for an estimate. Barry came over and scoped the job. Received the quote in timely manner. The wall oven and microwave were wider than the existing so it required some sheetrock work. Barry was very detailed, very careful, meticulous. We couldn't be happier with the final results. From estimate to installation, it was a smooth process. Would highly recommend.

Great Arrived early Did a really thorough job

Kerry was punctual and worked all day repairing the hole in the overhang as well as a long list of various tasks around my house. Everyone at OMTB--Randy, Kelley, Heather and Kerry--were very professional and friendly. I am extremely happy with the work done and will definitely call them again once I have another full list and the funds to pay. BTW, the price above includes the materials purchased to complete the work.

It was easy to schedule an estimate appointment, just to find out that what we really needed was a Handyman for a Day, for the "punch list" of items I needed help with. Lots of odd jobs around the house that we haven't had time to get to. Promptly received an estimate and set up an appointment. Service was great including light fixture installs/replacement, electric outlet moving, wall patching, and gap sealing (hard to explain). Service was so good, we decided that we had even more that I could use help with. Scheduled another day and while original handyman wasn't available, another very friendly and professional handyman tackled the new jobs. These included chandelier install/replacement, electric outlet fix, ceiling fan install, and yet more light fixture installs. These guys were great and saved us a lot of time.

I found One Man and a Toolbox through my Angie's List subscription. John and Kelly and their staff are most professional, on time and communicate thoroughly. I have been extremely pleased with everything they have done for me. Each job has been completed on time as proposed and fairly priced.

They do beautiful work. The workmen that have come to our house have been excellent. I really have no complaints with that. They do superior work. The gentleman that came out to give me the quote didn't write down anything as I was talking. He wasn't really listening to me as I was speaking. So, when he quoted me a price initially he only quoted me for half of the job because he really didn't remember the other half of the information. So, when the fellows got here, they said, "They expected us to do this in a day. Oh, no, I have to call them and talk to them." It turned out to be a three day job and the price jumped from $2700 to $4100. So, really, the supervisor or the manager or the owner who came out, really needs to realize that part of selling is also listening, not just talking. At first I was thinking, "What, is this some kind of a bait and switch thing? What is going on here?" But then, I realized that it was just because he didn't listen to what I was saying. I would recommend them.

Showed up on time to give the estimate, which we were happy with. He was able to complete the job on the same day, so that was a big plus. He was very professional & courteous. Completed the work outside & cleaned up after himself. He was here for maybe an hour or hour & a half. The door & vent worked out perfectly as we had hoped. Had the option to pay with a credit card, which was convenient & easy. Very quick & painless transaction which is what we like!! Will definitely use them in the future!

Had some hitches due to my electrical being really crazy messed up with polarity switched and all was finally ironed out. Took an extra day due to the issues. Super Great people working though and they really worked super hard and made sure everything was fixed correctly! Have already lined them up to get a few more jobs done around the house.

We purchased the handyman for a day to complete some work for a rental unit. The handyman arrived promptly, performed all necessary tasks well, and was very polite. The only reason why we didn't give them all As was that we had to call a few times before we heard back. Once we were in contact with the company, however, everything went smoothly and we definitely plan on using them in the future. Also, when they couldn't do a plumbing job they recommended a licensed master plumber who did a fantastic job, and we really appreciated their recommendation. If you ever have a list of repairs, I would give them a call (or two, if necessary) and get the handyman for a day package because it is well worth it.

The work was performed excellently by Marin, a member of their team. He was punctual, and he handled the multi-tasking of the jobs in a sure, methodical manner over the course of two days, taking care to shroud areas with plastic and tarps to prevent paint drop damage. The finished result is outstanding!

I had them replace flashing and trim a tree away from the house. They also re hung a mail box. it went very smoothly

They came out and gave me an estimate and gave me a start date of Monday at the latest of the following upcoming week. It has been three weeks since that day and I still have not heard from them.

I had a good and bad experience. The initial handy man who came out to evaluate and give me a quote was very professional and actually fixed a little latch on my fence for free which was great. The biggest project I needed completed was the replacement of a side door I had that was rotting due to weather exposure. Long story short, the initial repair guy did not do his homework and thought he could easily buy the replacement door on the way to my house the morning of the repair. The door was not available in-store and needed to be ordered. He ended up talking me through buying the door online and it was delivered 3 weeks later. A different repair guy then came out to install the door. His name was Bud and he is the only reason I am giving this business an A! He discovered that the door that I had ordered (thru instruction from the first repair guy) was not the correct door. Needless to say, I was NOT happy AT ALL when I found this out. Bud went above and beyond to rectify the situation. The office personnel also listened to my complaints and did what was needed to rectify the initial error. I would use this business again for home repairs. No business, or it's employees, can be perfect all the time. However, the way that the error was handled was professional and I would absolutely recommend them to others. Although, I will make sure that Bud is the repair guy who comes out in the future to handle any repairs I may need! As I said before, he went out of his way to rectify the errors that the previous repair guy had made and is the reason I am a happy customer!

Late one afternoon a closet rack broke and came away from the wall. I contacted Angie's list through my mobile app, took a video of the broke rack, and submitted it around 6 pm. Allan was at my house the next morning around 10:30, with the proper parts already purchased to complete the job. He reinstalled the rack, anchored it with toggle bolts and screws, and used extra brackets mounted to studs, making it very secure and sturdy. All finished before noon, and on a holiday weekend!

The installer was timely and did a good job installing the shutters. My only negative experience is when I called to schedule an appointment, I called three times and left a message on their voice mail, with no return of call. I then requested an appointment through their website and received no response. I decided to call one more time, and got lucky because my call was answered. I then scheduled an appointment for an estimate, however when the installer arrived he thought I had already been given an estimate over the phone. So, they need some work on responding to inquiries about getting work done, not the actual work itself.
