We are an Organizing Service, occasionally we need to "clean" as we go, But we are not a Full Service Cleaning Company. We don't do, windows, floors, refridgerators, These may need a special company that has the right tools to clean.
I reached out for an appointment via text, per their instructions, and received a text back on the same day, which was Thursday June 18. Tami replied saying she is out of town but would text me some dates. It is Monday at 1 pm and I haven't heard back. That is very frustrating as I wanted to get on someone's schedule ASAP -- if not with them then someone else. I could have been calling and setting up appointments with other companies in the meanwhile if she had told me she wouldn't be able to get back to me for several days.

Tami and her team are the Best! In preparing to downsize and move I have been overwhelmed with the daunting task of cleaning out two attics that had accumulated 35+ years of ?family treasures.? Tami didn't flinch when she saw the enormous amount of chaos in the attics. After 2 days of work both attics are cleared out, cleaned out and organized and the trash hauled away. NOLA Clutter Busters is great! I hired her for 3 or 4 half-days to help pack and move us across town. She has extensive experience with packing and works quickly to help you get it all done. She also helps you de-clutter as you go, and even hauls the stuff off when you're done. On move day she helped 'wrangle' the moving crew and was a tremendous help in unpacking the kitchen while movers were bringing in furniture. Our move was much less stressful as a result. She is professional and warm, confident but never pushy. I liked her so much I hired her to come back a few weeks later to hang artwork and photograph collections. She's a natural at this, we loved her placement ideas and she did all the hanging herself in just a couple of hours. Amazing! Highly recommended.

Tami arrived so full of great energy and enthusiasm and that attitude lasted until she left. My apt. that was full, full, full of boxes and all sorts of stuff was magically turned into my home. I wish I could post pics of my face before and after. She's a hard worker and she knows what she's doing and it really is life-changing to walk into a nice, clean, organized space. I've asked her to help out with a couple other projects, too. She's full of creative ideas and made my participation in it fun!

She came over here with plans to get started today at ten a.m. We were supposed to spend at least 4 hours as a starting point. I'm on a mobility scooter and had to use the restroom right before she came, unfortunately. I had my daughter answer the door when she arrived. My daughter helps me, so she couldn't wait with her and asked her to have a seat. I needed her assistance. When we finished in the restroom (about 5-10 minutes) we came to the living room and no one was here. I waited a few minutes because I thought maybe she stepped outside to take a call or something. I eventually went outside to find no one. Tami had left. I called, no answer. I texted, no response. Finally she responded staying she left to get on with her day, after waiting a "reasonable" amount of time. What 5 minutes?! She didn't say anything when she walked out. She didn't answer my calls. So rude! I'm very disappointed! She left and said absolutely NOTHING. Everything I do is a process, so I'm sorry I wasn't only 2 minutes in the bathroom. I had high hopes in getting my home organized and was ready to get started. She was still getting paid to start at 10. I guess 10:10 was pushing it. Unbelievably rigid!

Tami Hills came in and took care of everything that the job required. She shopped for drapes and rods, furniture pieces and accessories. Art that was already on-site was framed and hung. The carpet was picked out. The closets were cleaned out, boxed up and moved out. She has a contractor that she uses on her jobs for the heavy work, repairing and painting. His labor billing is separate from her design and de-cluttering work. This was a really big job that took almost 2 weeks and came out absolutely perfect! And the room got rave reviews from the guests and the rest of the family. So much so, that she is coming back to do two more rooms at the end of the year!! She has a wonderful sense of humor and was really easy to work with, but she does have a knack of moving a project along to completion on dead line. We are very happy with her and the result of her harmonious, tasteful, artsy sense of design. Tami is coming back to our house!
Description of Work: I had multiple projects going on. These included cleaning out and de-cluttering two very large room sized closets, neither of which had been touched in years. The other project was the re-design of a bedroom which was done on a dead line for out-of-town guests coming in. The design included carpet, paint, fixtures, art, furniture and accessories.

She did a fine job! I was pretty satisfied. It was a lot straighter than it was. She did move a few things that I needed to access out of the areas where I put them and I had to go back and put them where I knew where they were but overall she did a fine job. She is good at her job, very friendly but very goal oriented. So anybody who tends to procrastinate or get off track or whatever she is very good at getting them back into the process. Price was pretty reasonable. It took a while for us to really touch base. I do realize she is a sole proprietor and it takes a while to kind of do things but it did take a good while for us to actually touch base and get connected. She was on time.

Tami is FANTASTIC! I highly recommend her services to anyone with decorating, organizing and especially decluttering projects in their home or business. She is worth her weight in gold, and someone that I plan to keep on speed dial as long as I am living in the New Orleans area. - Tami has an engaging and bubbly personality. A pleasure to work with. I've learned a lot from her that I can use later. - She's highly skilled and capable with a unique skill set that allows her to walk you through a project from conception to strategy to design to purchase. She will even install and hang things. She comes with her own toolkit, tape measure... the works. - Tami is amazingly efficient. She puts in 100% energy and focus into her task and does not waste your time chatting, lollygagging, etc. I got more stuff organized having her over for a 6 hours than I had done the entire 6 months before I began working for her. Just let her in, and let her go! (You do need to be ready to make a lot of decisions ala keep, throw away, donate... be ready for this!) - Tami filled up her truck with things I wanted to donate to Goodwill and Green Project, and she took them with her when she left. No huge disposal and donation tasks for me! - I love the way that Tami really worked with my vision and style for my home after our first consult. She seemed to always be thinking of us and communicating with us through text and email. She even sends us finds from craigslist, the web, garage sales, and furniture stores. Even if I'm not thinking about my project, she is. All in all, picking Tami and Nola Clutter Busters is a win. Big bang for your buck and worth every penny!

Overall, we haven't finished, since we have changed directions midstream, from home organizing to home staging.
Description of Work: Tami came to my house to help remove all of my clutter. We met a number of times and she did a spectacular job. Her ability to organize my stuff was phenomenal. I couldn't believe how well things went (and are stil going). She is very understanding but she does make me work (after all, it is my stuff). When I got tired and uncomfortable, she helped set me up in a way that was much more productive and most important, comfortable. We are going room by room and the first 5 rooms are great. We still have a few to go. Last visit we switched goals since I have decided to move out of town. We are now packing and staging (the first room she finished to appeal to prospective buyers is SO amazing, since I had things filed in there for the past 18 years. It's pretty emotional but Tami is very patient when it comes to difficult situations. I am continuing to use her and will keep using her til my house is sold.

Description of Work: Tammy de-cluttered and reorganized my entire living room including bookshelf book arrangement. She also helped de-clutter and beautify dining room and kitchen. She helped me sort what to keep vs donate vs throw out as well as determining a new way to use something I already have. She took away items for donation, recycling, or trash. My first experience with an organization expert. Tami was enthusiastic and a joy to work with. She did an outstanding job. But note the client has to work to - can't just direct what gets thrown away, donated or stays. She will haul everthing off too, but you lose the tax deduction if you don't donate yourself. All in all, it was a good experience.

In response to the donation items: This is a complicated issue for NOLA Clutter Busters- We strive to assist clients with getting their donation items to the appropriate donation center. Sometimes it involves going to several different locations : a thrift store, the green project ( for building materials, leftover paint etc) these locations are not always open for donating when the project is completed, or there is no donation center in their area. Which means NOLA Clutter Busters has to touch the items twice. Loading them up at the clients, unloading them at our storage area, then reloading them to donate them. This takes a lot of extra time and energy, and gas. NOLA Clutter Busters can send you a donation slip in the mail, or via email if requested. Keep in mind all of this is done on our time. The first session was organizing of my closet. It was hard work but I could not do it for myself and needed Tami's kind but firm approach to wade through years of clutter. When finished the closet was a revelation, and every day of my life is better because of it, as we use our dressing closets everyday and I have no more frustration with it. Tami also came two more times to organize with the children. She helped them make choices about what to keep, how to organize, and they were very proud of themselves in the process.
Description of Work: Tami came several times to organize first my closet and then each of my children's room. She taught me tips and tricks which helped me continue the process in other rooms. I had a middle bedroom which was so full of junk that we could not even walk around in there. I was overwhelmed and had no idea where to start. Tami came to our house and helped us tremendously. She actually convinced my husband to part with some of the junk in the room (no small task), and then took it away with her and sent us a receipt. She also helped us sort the items which remained and find a place for these items, either in the guest room or in another part of the house.

I had a coupon which made this service especially affordable. Tami worked well with my 14 year old son and they had his room in order in less than the 4 hours contracted, but she also took stuff for donations so I did not have do that follow up. She is very quick - which can be overwhelming for those of us who have trouble parting with our stuff, but it worked great for my son and her! Tami Saved potential arguments between my son and me if we had tried to do this alone!

It was amazing. Tami called to schedule us and called the day before to confirm. She was very punctual and very professional. Her cheerfulness and positive attitude made it very easy for us to make the decisions that had stymied us before: how to rearrange some of our spaces....what could stay and what needed to go. We ended up not needing to get rid of very much except some boxes earmarked for donations. She even took the donation boxes and delivered them for us. Everything else, she showed us how we had plenty of room and made it easy to rearrange the space. I'm thrilled. She worked very hard, even moving furniture from one room to another to reconfigure some space. I'm actually hiring Clutter Busters again to help us with a more extensive project. We say A+ across the board!.
Description of Work: I purchased a coupon for this service to help us set up several spaces in our house that were in need to tweaking and de-cluttering. Tami arrived on time and we took a tour of the house, describing some of our challenges and difficulties with space. She immediately figured out what needed to be done and set about organizing. We all worked in different rooms, selecting what to keep, what to donate and what to toss out. Then she came and checked our sorting progress and made some suggestions. We agreed with everything she suggested and got to work. She hung pictures, moved furniture, encouraged, praised, suggested new options. I just can't say enough... She even took many heavy boxes of books to Tulane Library for a donation that had been arranged a while ago and that I had never gotten around to doing myself.

I cannot quite explain, nor can I exaggerate the extent to which Tammy has helped me. She has changed my house, my organization, my space and and my mindset. She took a space that was beyond cluttered, which I had been hopelessly and cluelessly looking at for 4 years, and turned it into a home...right before Mardi Gras. On Muses Thursday. 2 blocks from the parade route. Seriously. She was amazing. Never pushy and never judgy, she swept in perfectly ontime and went righ to work with me, changing my space and freeing me from the baggage of crud I had mindlessly held on to for years. And when she left, she even emailed me a list of things to do to make it even better. I can't begin to express the difference this has made in my life and my mindset, my comfortability in my own house, and my general outlook on the world. An organized house really is the difference between feeling in control and out of conttrol of your life, as well as wanting people to come over as opposed to being scared they might stop by. That's a huge thing, living on a parade route. I had two very cluttered rooms and a kitchen that needed help, as well as a rental space to which I could funnel spare furniture. And I needed help staging my rental for pictures to rent it out online . Tammy came in, moved the whole house around, and created really cool spaces out of things I would not have imagined. She even taught me how to properly stage the rental so it looked hospitable and appealing. It was kindof amazing. And now I'm earning money!!! Tammy is wonderful. If you're skeptical, don't be. If you're dubious, there's no reason. This woman knows her stuff, and she's more than excited to help you to a better life with less mess - and to allow you to free yourself from the crao that burdens your daily life. Do not hesitate. This is a great example of how NOLA Clutter Busters works. This clients was ready to take on the challenge of changing her space. Having someone come into your space- sight unseen - can be scary to some. As an Professional Organizer for many years I have the ability to quickly see the space and figure out how to make it function better. Which sometimes requires moving furniture around and creating a big mess before it gets better. Sometimes people get "stuck" with their space. We tackled several rooms- juggling several pieces of furniture to other spaces. It was a pleasure working with this client - she was open to change, I threw many difficult tasks at her- and she managed to get through all of them.
