Both work well together and were prompt and professional. Loved the outcome and the design she came up with. Very accomodating to my needs.

+ -1 moreI only wish I would have contacted Katherine at LKHarmon much earlier, because I would have saved myself headaches and money. The plans included the ADA restroom design and the ADA entrance design. The drawings are just what the city and State Fire Marshal requires. This experience was great and Katherine was very helpful, responsive, informed and extremely professional. She really understands New Orleans historic properties and current codes. I highly recommend LKHarmon Architects.
Description of Work: I have a small commercial property on Freret Street in which I am in the process of renovating in order put on the market to rent out. The building has been vacant for a while and the department of Safety and Permits informed me that I would need to submit Architect drawings and a site plan. At first I was apprehensive about getting an architect because I thought the cost would be thousands of dollars and I was also worried that I could not find an architect for such a small job. So i scanned Angies Lists and called LKHarmonArchitects. All of my apprehensions were quickly dispersed. Katherine was great. First of all,,,she told me that her firm liked to do small jobs( and large ones of course). As she explained to me,,,,these types of small projects are quick and help pay the bills,,,,they kind of fill in the gaps between the large projects. And yes, her firm works on everything from small projects like mine to larger projects like new housing , banks, and even million dollar projects such as a church. She added that LKHarmon works on a lot of projects in the French Quarter and she is very experienced with ADA retrofits of historic properties. She came over to my property and took some measurements,,,,asked some questions,,,,gave some feedback,,,,and then quoted me what I considered a very fair price. Within 1 week I received my stamped and certified Architect Drawings.

+ -1 moreThis was a fabulous experience. First, the company was incredibly prompt in responding to our request for service. Katherine scheduled the first meeting and arrived promptly at the scheduled time. The space is very difficult and we only knew in the most general of terms what we wanted to accomplish (a kitchen space that is more open to the rest of the condo, that looks good and that is more functional). We did not have many ideas about how to accomplish those things. In very short order Katherine made a couple of suggestions which lead to a conversation that gave Katherine ideas about some directions to go. She emailed the concept plans to me a couple weeks later and even at that early stage, they were 90% of what we wanted. We made some adjustments and final plans arrived just a few weeks later. Katherine and her team are professional, prompt, creative and artistic. In very short order they took our goals and created a plan that meets them all.
Description of Work: We are planning to renovate the galley kitchen in a Warehouse District (New Orleans) condo. Services included a meeting to review the site and determine in general terms what we were trying to accomplish. They then provided us with some concept drawings from which we determined what we wanted the new space to look like. The company then provided us with full drawings including the demolition drawing, electrical plan and elevations.
