They never called to set the appointment.

A salesman showed up and gave me his pitch and what sounded like a decent quote, so I signed a contract to put a nice patio in my back yard. I "trusted" him. A month passed and I never heard a word from them. I was beginning to wonder if they wanted my business. Several weeks later, they called out of the blue on a Wednesday and informed me that the pavers are showing up Friday. The next week they dug my yard up and put a mountain of debris on my street, where it remained for the next two weeks. Turns out they were shipped the wrong pavers and too few of them ... and nobody checked until they were already set in the sand, so up they came and back on the pallets they went. My father came down to watch over the "3 or 4 day project", but returned home shaking his head on day 3 with no pavers down and my backyard looking like a beach volleyball court. They finally delivered the right pavers but didn't order the wall cap stone and brick border we discussed weeks earier. I never got the cap stone border and just settled with the simple brick border. The stones for the wall, bench, and fire pit were not what we agreed on (very much cheaper looking ... that makes 100% wrong on material delivery) so they had to take the bench and fire pit down and get the right stone. I had to settle for the wrong wall stones because the retaiining wall was already installed. One of the rounded corners we discussed actually had a point in it where the curves of the bench didn't match up with the back wall right. This was fixed by adding a couple feet of new patio and a new wall. This new wall was made from the correct wall material so it didn't match the rest of the wall which I had to accept because it was already installed. The bench wasn't made according to the manufactures video I found out later. The bench stones had no metal keepers installed and the ends weren't mitered like they were supposed to be. The fire pit was supposed to be a nice kit job, but it turned out to be hand cut out of wall bricks and looks like crap especially on the inside where the keeper slots on wall bricks are very visible. The fire pit top was supposed to be nice like the pictures. It was hand cut from the bench seat stones and turned out to be far from round. Do you know how ugly a round bowl looks sitting in a not-round hole? Anyway, a month into it, and after numerous rework efforts, I just wanted them gone and this whole embarrassing project behind me. To add insult to injury, they refused to even wash the haze off of the pavers from the sealing grout after they promised me they would.
