Katie first visited New Orleans in 1986 for a Superbowl, and she was sold then on the vibrant city. In 1998, she moved permanently and finished her last two years at Loyola University. She graduated with a BA in Sociology with a Women’s Studies Minor. She started the Women’s Issues Organization at Loyola. Her first job outside of college was working for Catholic Charities Refugee Resettlement Program. After five years of working in the immigration and refugees field, she decided to take a different path on resettlement. Her focus turned to helping others with residential acquisitions in historic New Orleans’ neighborhoods. Katie’s clients and business focus include neighborhood associations, church groups, sellers being relocated outside of New Orleans, renovation and restoration projects, investment acquisitions, and first time buyers looking for an individual that can walk them through all the necessary steps to help make the smartest purchase decision in our local market. Katie holds several Realtor specific education designations, she is the Vice President of the New Orleans Women’s Council of Realtors, a board member of the Preservation Resource Center, and she has developed a continuing education course with original content, approved by the Louisiana Real Estate Commission. Katie is a wife, mother of a one and four year old children, a yogi, and has been a vegan for over twenty years. She is a supporter of National Public Radio, Louise S.
