Ordered the siding inspection from a special deal and Angie's list. Jeff Murray was very nice and patient while waiting for me to confirm the appointment. He was extremely courteous when they came out to complete the work. They completed the job in a very timely manner.

Job was completed and performed in a very professional manner.

Found them on the Big Deal and purchased an offer. Within a half hour I received a call from Jeff inquiring about the work needed and when I needed it done. Was not ready to proceed at that time and told him I'd call once I knew when I could schedule the work. He came to survey the property and gave me estimates so I could make an informed decision, and kept checking in with me about it. Once we got everything scheduled, his workers were out in a timely manner replacing the rotted fascia boards and repairing what could be salvaged. Jeff called me during the job once he discovered more damage and gave me another quote for the additional expense of full replacement versus the option of caulking the fixable boards. Workers very knowledgeable and patient with my questions regarding repairing vs. replacing. Was very good about communicating during the project, and did a final walk-through once the job was done. I do wish I would have been able to spread my payments out more than allowed, but the guys did good work that should hold up for a few more years. I will probably be calling them again once I have the capital to do the gutters.

Arrived at my home earlier than promised on scheduled date and in two visits (11/8/11 & 11/9/11) did all the work in a very efficient and skillfull maner. Upon completion all debris was removed and I am completly satisfied with the work done. It was obvious that Jeff (owner) and his two associates were very experienced and capable. I also learned that they were very experienced in many other areas of repairing/remodeling other than what my current needs were. Doug Kirby

It was a long process, though no fault of Jeff's, he came out at the beginning of May for the original estimate. Then a series of life events happened and we needed to use the money for other things so the siding project was put on hold. I contacted Jeff 5months later and he came out the next day and completed the previously agreed upon repairs. He and his workers were here promptly and did not leave until the entire job was completed. My neighbor was so impressed with Jeff that she hired him on the spot to do a bunch of repairs (including a new roof) to her home.

The gentle man, who is the owner, was a very cool person and had excellent communication skills. He arrived and completed the work as committed. The negative part would be that, he was very expensive for the work done and I didn’t realize it until the work was done. I will use his services in future.

To sum it up: JLM did a great job on my roof, and I would hire the same again without hesitation. I would recommed this roofer without hesitation. Experienced professional roofer. Competitive pricing. The features which I felt made the job go smoothly were: Good Communication, Good Planning & Quality Work. Most importantly, from this customer?s point of view: I?m happy with what I ended up with. Jeff was very straightforward to deal with and did everything he said he would do. He did not promise anything that he did not deliver on. He listened carefully to what I wanted and responded with accuracy. I could also see good, efficient communication between him and his crew. The work was carried out in a well-planned, well-organized professional manner. The work was adequately supervised and monitored. I was glad to see Jeff's presence on the job often throughout the day to keep tabs on the how the job was progressing and provide specific instruction to his crew. The man-power on the job was just right, not too few to be slow, not too many to be inefficient. They had a very productive crew of 4 on the job the whole time, plus supervisor and material runner who were there intermittently, but often. The main part of the job (asphalt shingle pitched roof) was complete in a day, with a few hours the next morning for tying-in the torch down flat roof to the parapet (a different type of roof work). The crew did a super job with clean-up. There were no nails left in the driveway or street. Everything was picked up and blown down: clean clean clean. (I took a good hard look to try to find any roofing nails on the ground- I did not find one!) Overall, what I saw was clearly the "do it right" philosophy, and some old fashioned quality and pride in workmanship. Work was carried out with attention to detail and quality while being productive and efficient.

I called about 3 different people (2 from Angies List and another reference from a friend). JLM was the last person that I called after a 3 day wait for others to return my call. Only JLM called back promptly. He soon after went to house to assess scope of work and quoted a price within minutes. I'm a busy person, so I did not want to delay making a decision on the work. JLM commenced work on the following Monday as he said. My reason for calling him in the first place was due to water damage of the soffit. JLM removed all the damaged wood (to discover more damaged wood). He replaced it all to good solid wood and painted to match the surrounding soffit. He also installed a new downspout to ensure that the water has a way to leave the gutter before overflowing. Because of his work on the gutter, he noticed other damage that I had on my vent stacks that could allow water to get into the roof. He was able to replace those vent stacks and waterproof those areas. JLM has other capabilities too which came in handy for me as well. I was also having a problem with the iron gate on the front porch. He was able to re-align that and make that work much better. This saved me from calling another worker for just the gate. I'm appreciative that he professionally completed the job that I requested, and I am appreciative that he identified other problems and fixed them before these became worse. I am also appreciative that he and his co-worker worked safely. I would easily recommend JLM for house repair work.

Jeff and his crew were punctual, professional and the work was great. We received a quote on Tuesday and he and the crew were at work the following Monday. It only took them a few days to complete the work and we were very pleased with the results. Bonus: unlike a lot of contractors, JLM cleaned up all debris from the construction and left the yard exactly how they found it. No cans, trash or even nails. I would highly recommend using their services.

Their price was very reasonable. I spent about $300 on the job. I had two other people come in to fix the roof, but they could not. However, this guy did fix the roof. I liked everything about him. He was very personable. I will use his services in the future.

He was a very nice guy. He was very professional. He turned around the estimate within the same day which was nice. Overall, my interaction with him was great. We did not go with him because we happened to be on a tight budget. We found somebody else who was willing to do it for cheaper. We will consider going to him for a quote again.

Once I contacted Jeff, the owner; he had a bid ready for me that day with samples of shingles. Jeff was available to me for every question I had. Once I compared other companies with JLM I signed with JLM because of his attentiveness and fast respone I got once I called. He had the materials delivered within 3 days and started work immediately. His crew arrived every day very early and worked without delay until the job was completed. They were very respectful of my property and dog. They cleaned up very good and left no nails laying around in the driveway or porch which usually always happens when you have contractors working on your home. They even worked in very windy condiitions when Ida came thru the area. We did have some rain and Jeff made sure that the area not shingled was protected completely not to get wet until the weather got better to finish an area, One thing that Jeff did that truly surprised and impressed me was he picked out air turbines that matched the shutters and shingle color which really makes my roof beautiful. Jeff was very polite and professional. He provided exactly what he promised and I had no surprises or added cost. I will use JLM again and will recommend his company.

JLM was excellent from the beginning to the end. They had the best price of the four other siding companies that gave me estimates and they did an excellent job on the installation. They were speedy, professional, and very clean. They were also very receptive to my special requests (I asked them to install an extra dryer vent for one of my bathroom fan vents and they did so without any problem or complaint.) Overall, it was one of the best companies that I have worked with throughout the grueling process of rebuilding my Katrina-damaged home.

I am very pleased with the work that he did. He used screws instead of nails to secure the siding that fell off the house, which gives me peace of mind that a 'normal' windy storm won't blow the siding off. He also took great care to tighten the loose piece of siding that was on the other side of the house. I know this might not sound impressive but it is considering that it was the very top piece of siding on a two story house that needed to be reset and secured. The siding managed to get loose from under the flashing part of the roof. He had to tuck the siding back under the flashing, reposition the flashing and then secure the siding, all the while being about 30 feet up. He called me when he completed the work and we discussed how it went. He advised that the loose siding gave him a bit more trouble than he anticipated but he never increased his price quote as a result of the extra difficulty.
