Floyd Kyle was the one of the most expensive bids I received but I liked his punctuality and communications. He did a fairly good job with the wall. However, he left a TERRIBLE MESS with drywall dust covering window sills and the floor and tabletops and molding and etc. etc. etc. The drywall dust spread throughout four rooms. It was unbelievable. It took me more than 8 hours to wipe and wash the dust from my house! The WORST PART was Floyd Kyle's attitude: he said he wasn't getting on his hands and knees to clean floors! He said he ran a dry-mop over the floor and that should be good enough! He said he wouldn't pay a cent to have it cleaned! AVOID THIS MAN'S WORK!!!
Description of Work: installed a wall in order to separate one room into two spaces.

When I met with Member to do the final walk through after the job was completed as agreed, he was very happy with my work and even commented that he wished he had more work for me. There was some residual sheet rock dust on the floor and I agreed to come back and use a dust mop to clean up. This was fine with Member. It must be understood that this was an unoccupied house that was going to have the entire interior repainted and offered for rent. I explained to Member that there would be some residual sheet rock dust after the initial clean up, and he said he understood. One week after I had been paid and Member and I shook hands he called complaining about the mess I had left behind. I was out of state at the time visiting family and could not immediately see what he was talking about. I did contact Member when I returned to town. He wanted me to give him 12 hours of labor to make up for his time cleaning. By this time it had been several weeks since the job had been finished to Member's satisfaction. I felt that his demands were unreasonable. I have been in business for over 30 years and have many satisfied customers. I would like to thank Angie's List for alerting me to Member's report and allowing to give my side of the story.
