I had been looking for someone to replace an ugly cord switch for my favorite living room reading light. It wasn't a very big job, but one that I did not feel comfortable doing myself. I had ordered a switch from the internet that was not lovely, but much better than the ugly switch that had been temporarily placed on the light to get it to work. I showed the owner the project, and he immediately found a very nice switch from his shop that looked great. When I returned, the project was complete, and the lamp worked great. He only charged $5 for the project, including the new switch. I will definitely use him again for any lamp/light repair, and will certainly recommend that my friends give him a try!!!

Description of work: Lamp repair and shade fitting. Member comments: I took a lamp I for repair and three lamps for shade fitting. He had to order the shades. He did have a beautiful shade that looked good on the lamp that needed repair but it did not have the correct hardware so when he repaired my lamp he configured it to fit the shade. It took a while to get the shades that were ordered. They didn't come in time for the arrival of my guests, so he loaned me three beautiful shades for me to use until those on order came in. He called after Mardi Gras to say they were in. I went in today to pick up the shades. One shade I returned was a beautiful red and he gave it to me! So now I have five beautiful shades. I gave me a discount on the ordered shades. The shade for the repaired lamp he only charged 25.00, and it too Is beautiful. He and his partner very nice. So basically I got 5 lamp shades and a repair for 250.00...the shades are very good shades too, very good quality. He even helped me carry the lamps from my car to the shop and back. I hope other people go to him. Don't be shocked by the look of confusion when you go in...he knows where everything is located.

He did a good job and I was very happy with his work. He explained what needed to be done and I was very impressed with his knowledge.

She did an excellent job. It was over 20 years ago. She placed wax around old the light to make it look like a candle burning. A lot of people make that now a days and but back then it was different. She worked with my mother's antique shop in re-electrifying things. I do not remember her being unreasonable.
