I have been extremely pleased with the work Stasia has done for me. She is very professional and efficient in the use of both her time and mine, She helps you to "compassionately downsize" items and then cleverly organizes the remaining items. As we have been working together for a few weeks now and completed a number of spaces, Stasia is helping me transform my entire house into a more functional and comfortable living space. We have done together in 25 hours what would have taken me weeks to do by myself and with less satisfactory results.

For five months, Stasia came once a week for a three hour block, several times it was six hours. Stacie was punctual, professional and pleasant while clearing the clutter from our large home--bonus is she will recycle and haul away you unwanted belongings. No job was too daunting for her. She even packed my daughter for college--move in day was a breeze because of it. I enjoy working with Stasia because she is hard working, excellent at her job and is interesting in making your living space more enjoyable.

I have been collecting kitchen things, pots, pans, bowls, cups, you name it as my family grew to adulthood in the 20 years I have lived in my home. Everyone can relate to the incredible amount of stuff that just gets stacked on top of more stuff, shoved into drawers, and pushed to the back of the cabinet. I have over 25 linear feet of counter space, and upper and lower cabinets above and below. In six hours every cabinet, drawer, and counter was clear. Stasia is a master at the gentle art of letting go, and Jennifer has the kind of spatial awareness that allows her to see how to organize everything in a drawer or on a shelf so that you can see it and get to it with out creating a mini avalanche!! I have been working with both ladies for over a year, and the transformation in the way I feel about my home is almost indescribable. I know it seems like a pricey option, but for those of us who are super busy living life, it is fantastic way to get a concentrated amount of real change accomplished in a relatively short period of time, and once again, the biggest bonus it that at the end of the day, your space is handed back to you looking and feeling lighter and more airy, all of the stuff is on its way to a new and more useful future, unuseables are recycyled, you can immediately begin to enjoy the incredible transformation. Try it, you will never regret the results, and I can say now that I have been doing this for a year, you will have newfound respect for your environment, and will want to keep your home in good shape forever!
Description of Work: In my ongoing quest to reform my living space into an organized and clutter free dream house, the incredibly talented team of Stasia and Jennifer worked for six non-stop hours to completely clear out each cabinet, drawer, and all of the counters in my kitchen.

The initial session went well, and I called Stacia and decided to purchase the $800 dollar package. Jennifer helped me attack the entry way and the front part of the living room. When she left the entry way, piano, and front part of the room was cleared and cleaned. I continued to relocate the bags of items we sorted during the week, and we continued with the living room. The garbage collectors had cans and bags of garbage to collect and items when were in ok shape I no longer used were taken to be donated. The second session we were also in the living room, with services being cleared and items tossed. I spent many hours until the next session continuing the process of toss, relocate, and donate. As we continued with the sessions I begin to feel overwhelmed with the lack of process. The number of items to be relocated grew and I was running out of room or places to put them even with all the items I tossed or donated. We finally moved to the den where I had already begun some of the process. What was frustrating was not enough time was given to sweep or clean behind the sofa or other large pieces of furniture which I am unable to move on my own. Jennifer organized the shelves in the laundry closet which I had to totally redo after she left because they were organized without even wiping off the shelves. The last session I used we moved to the kitchen which was initially a disaster due to a backed up dishwasher and stopped up sink. I was able to take care of that but it did take up some of my time. Jennifer went through stacks of papers for me to sort and organize. The issue I had with this was that papers were moved to one pile and some of the items were in their own way organized which meant I had to go through a lot of paper to find items especially when it came to tax time. The counters in the kitchen were cleaned by moving all the items to a table in the den and I did clean the counters. In order to relocate the items on the table it was necessary to go in the cabinets to determine what was needed or not needed. Jennifer kept telling me not to go behind the scenes, but I could not move forward without making room in the cabinets. She spent a lot of time organizing cans in one cabinet which was not a high priority. She finally agreed to pull out items from a low cabinet even thought it was "behind" the scene and did wipe them out. Bottom line the only room that got totally finished with the service was the living room dining room. I did the hall way, both bathrooms and my bedroom on my own. I was so frustrated after the last session that I cancelled it. We did not touch the other bedroom. I have been working on that on my own. In hind sight I would not have purchased more that three sessions, after that it was like rearranging deck chairs on the Titanic. I didn't realize how much I would have to do during each three hour session, and that after the first two sessions there was no cleaning done so any organization had to be redone after Jennifer left to clean and redo. She kept telling me I need to hire someone to come and do a deep cleaning. If you have a lot of clutter and need to clean too this is not the service for you. I really expected more completed and really we only worked in half of the house. During the last session I knew I had paid for three more hours and asked if we could continue working for one more house. Jennifer said that was not allowed even though she did not have another job that afternoon. She could only work in three or six hour blocks of time. I am happy I have control over my house now, but feel for $1100 more should have been accomplished. I would not use this service again. As far as being professional I was a little taken a back when Jennifer left each session and asking for a hug. I feel that type of intimacy is for friends and family not particularly for someone you have hired to do a service in your home, especially after the first session. After seeing how Jennifer worked with paper work and the kitchen I did not want her to assist with my sewing room, there were just too many items that needed to be relocated.

Being Angie's List Super Service Award Winner with 30 Grade A reviews I take my business very seriously & appreciate the opportunity to respond to your comments. To begin, the first session we accomplished your manageable goal of being able to open the front door without feeling embarrassed. Jennifer went above & beyond her role as a professional organizer when she dedicated time to deep cleaning, removing pet feces & mopping. In my follow up call to you I made it very clear that this was not something you should expect from us moving forward, that our goal is help you downsize the clutter in your house so that a professional cleaning service would be able to come in and effectively sanitize your home. Speaking with you again during your work in the kitchen I reminded you that it is your ability to let go of things that no longer serve a purpose that reveal the greatest transformations. We can offer suggestions on what to donate but the final decision on what stays is always up to you. When we are focusing on a specific area of the home and find an item you wish to keep but it does not belong in the space we are trying to organize, that item gets relocated to the place you are most likely going to use it. The more items you decide to keep the more items get dispersed. When you asked why Jennifer wouldn't go behind the scenes I explained that our strategy for a successful project begins with surface areas. Phase one is to downsize, disperse or recycle/toss all visible clutter on the floors, counters, table tops, chairs, etc. Once you've created surface area phase 2 can begin because you now have room to place all the items you will be pulling from cabinets & drawers. Clutter expands before it can contract & we want to make sure that when we leave at the end of a 3 or 6 hour session that we're not leaving you in a greater state of disarray, rather we're leaving you relieved with a sense of control over your environment. While the work we do is professional, inviting an organizer into your home is a very personal experience. You are trusting us to help you make decisions that can profoundly effect the way you feel in your home. Stasia helped me clean out 20-40 years of paper and accumulated clutter (pens, etc.) I had cleaned out the houses of several family members who had died, and, as the executor, had simply shoved all of their documents into a room in my house until I could find a time to go through it. They had kept every bank statement, every receipt, every everything for 40-50 years. My husband developed cancer, and for two years, although the bills got paid, and he survived (yay!), very little in the way of keeping things straight got accomplished. A few years went by and I was becoming increasingly overwhelmed with the documents. I kept thinking that I would be able to handle it by myself, but I did not know where to begin, and could barely get into the room. Stasia laughed when she saw what we were facing, and said, "no problem"! I will admit I was skeptical. She sat me down outside the room and handed me a few things at a time. We separated them into "to be filed", shred, recycle, and keepsake. From time to time she removed the growing stacks, and began organizing those items. She had practical ideas for how to handle different items. She was very respectful of my keepsakes and photographs. We found ways to save them that would keep them safe. and accessible. I found that not having to look at the disaster area was not so bad, and I could handle dealing with things in very small batches. She also helped me clear out things that I could donate to homeless shelters, veterans groups, and people trying to get their lives back together. Who know I had so many pens from conferences I had attended? She took care of those things for me, so I did not have to worry about it anymore. And it felt great to know those things were going to good homes. I realized that the accumulated clutter in that room was going to take more than one session, and I wanted to keep going. She then brought Jennifer in to help, who was equally cheerful and enthusiastic, and we got so much accomplished I could actually sit in the room while we worked. They got my husband so inspired, he decided to clean out his desk (25 years of stuff)! We decided we could use the room as an (almost) office. We got very excited about the first area, and decided to keep going. We then asked for their help in our utility closet, our den, and the guest bedroom that had become a catchall for clothing to be donated, rough dried linens, old curtains, you-name-it. I did not realize I had 10 telephone books. (yikes) As I mentioned, Stasia and Jennifer were unfailingly cheerful and enthusiastic, even in the face of our reluctance to deal with certain things. They also helped us talk through the tough decisions. Having someone else there to guide you through the process is amazingly powerful. My husband and I realized that if either of us had tried to tell the other to get rid of something, we would not be happy. Clear the Clutter has helped us clean up and stay happily married. I will not say it was the easiest thing I have ever done, but I also know that I was very stressed out before Stasia and Jenn came, and the results are truly worth it. It is fantastic to be able to walk into a room, and find what you need in just a moment, instead of stressing out about where I (or someone else) had put it. All of my financial information, tax records, estate information, and business records are all neatly organized and labelled. I can find my screwdrivers, flashlights, batteries, lightbulbs, etc. The books in our den (we have LOTS of books), are organized by subject, and author. Our friends can come and stay and we are not panicking. Maybe next year we will ask for their help with the garage. Although we find it daunting, we know Stasia and Jenn will say, "no problem"! We can love our house again, thanks to Stasia and Jenn.

Clear the Clutter was PERFECT ! Very professional, punctual, and such a pleasure to work with. Stasia contacted me a few days before my appointment to confirm everything. She came ready for action exactly at the time we agreed upon, with a big smile on her face and a great upbeat attitude. It was the easiest, smoothest clean up and organizing I have ever experienced. I sat down on a chair and she did all the work. I only had to make up my mind on what I wanted to keep or not. She took care of all the things I wanted to get red of, and RECYCLED everything! She knew of a shelter, organization, association, etc.... for each and every single thing I needed out of my house. She took all of it out of my house, it was like magic! Once she was done, my personal closet looked like my very own little boutique with every inch organized in a practical way! My daughter's room looked like it was taken right out of a magazine! Plus I had closet space again ! Not only she organizes and cleans up everything for you, but Stasia gives you tips to keep the space free for a long time after she's gone! She encourages you in the process, as you will find out that it can sometimes be emotional to get red of "things" (especially baby stuff I found out), but never pushes you in any way! I don't know what else to say but that she made the whole experience efficient and FUN ! I highly recommend that you use Stasia for organizing your house if you need to sell it, reorganize it, declutter it or if you just want more space for a new child in the family. Couldn't imagine a more professional company! Description of Work: Because I have just moved back to NO after 18 years in California, everything was in boxes, or disorganized or misplaced. Stasia saved my life and my mind. She sees the big picture as well as the details and can make a plan that she follows and teaches me how to follow as well. She is so pleasant but serious about what she is doing that this painful process of letting go becomes a joyful experience. But you don't have to get rid of stuff, she shows you how to see your stuff, and put it in the right places. If you should happen to get rid of some things so much the better.

We moved into this house 3 1/2 years ago but still had the largest room of the house completely full of furniture that we are not using, unopened boxes and other containers. It has been a source of friction for my wife and me. Stacia worked with us for a total of 3 full days. In addition to that room, virtually every room in the house had clutter; boxes were stacked in corners of almost every room, closets were stuffed with clothes that hadn't been worn in years, and the garage was full, floor to ceiling and wall to wall. Stacia was punctual, arriving exactly when she said she would each day. She got right to work and before the first day was over, we had cleared half the big room. She is very tactful, never pushing too much, but getting both my wife and me to make decisions that somehow we hadn't been able to do on our own. I think that the job was daunting to us and just seemed to be overwhelming; but not to Stacia. She just jumped right in and started the job and kept at it for six hours. Altogether, we purchased 18 hours of Stacia's service and she worked every bit of those hours. I am amazed at the difference in our home. The largest room in our house is useable again, and the other rooms are now well organized. The other thing I need to mention is that not only is Stacia organized, efficient, and professional, she is a pleasure to be around. I truly enjoyed her company, and am ecstatic about the results.

I hired Stasia to help me clear out my house from top to bottom. Even though I live on the Northshore, she is always on time and ready to work. I have to admit that after a 6 hour session with her I am completely wiped out and usually need to wait a month or so before I'm ready to tackle another room but after she leaves I am always thrilled with the results and I love that Clear the Clutter takes my donations to charity. After cleaning out the attic, guestrooms, the laundry room and my bedroom I'm looking forward to getting my pantry organized next. When I hired her to help my daughter-in-law prepare for a move, in addition to decluttering she also gave staging advice that really made the house look beautiful. Thank you Stasia for all your help!

The first time I met Stasia was at a Clear the Clutter DIY workshop. After hearing her speak, I decided that I needed her to help me get my home office under control. I had boxes and boxes of old papers mixed in with sentimental odds and ends but I didn't know what to keep or where to put it and I was feeling overwhelmed by the task at hand. I only hired Stasia for 3 hours and at first it didn't feel like we had accomplished that much because all we did was sort papers and I kind of felt like I should have been able to do that on my own. But after she left I was much more motivated to clear out rest of the bins on my own and I was ready to work on the filing cabinet. She also had me set up a recycling bin, shredder and waste basket near by for future clutter and got me thinking about how to let go of paper and what to keep. Sometimes when you have a de-clutter / organization task like this it can start to feel overwhelming. Having Stasia come in and help me was just want I needed and it really helped so much. I really enjoyed our session together and it helped me to jump start getting my office organized!

This woman will work tirelessly for hours on end to help you organize, without judgment or criticism ( no matter how scarey the space looks now) but you must be able to make choices about what you actually need to keep and what it is time to part with. The good news, when she is done, and I have seen this over and over, you will rarely have more then a small bag of real "trash". She will organize your disposals to recycle or donate, and then, and this really is the best part, she will take everything away with her to accomplish these two goals. If you have recycling curbside, she will break down boxes and separately bag paper and plastic. But in the end, all you need to do when she is done is admire the accomplishment, and stare in amazement at what she can do in just a few short hours. I am transforming a home that nurtured four children for 20 years into a useful home for one. This has required a lot of effort to reorganize, but she always shows up with the right attitude, and you will feel like a weight has lifted as she revives your space and helps you to restore the comfort, usability, and functionality of your living area. I know for some the cost may seem high, but I can assure you what she can do to make you love where you live again is well worth it!!
Description of Work: This extraordinary young woman, a home organizer, will come to your home, office, dorm room or any interior that needs reworking and literally transform the entire space within a period of about six hours. She will work the entire time, no breaks, no cell phone watching, no slacking of any kind, and in the end, not only will the room or area look a thousand times better, it will be functional in a way you may not have experienced for a very long time. I have been working with this young lady for almost a year now, about once a month (all my schedule will allow) for a six hour session each time. She has never failed to complete the assigned task for our time together as we have gone from room to room in my house organizing and restoring use to every area, including my home office, laundry room /pantry, dining room, master bath, and our current task two enormous master closets that were almost inaccessible when we began. It has not only transformed my house, but my life as well!

Stasia showed up right on time and quickly assessed the situation. My bedroom was a absolute nightmare and took priority. We first tackled the closet which was pretty much the definition of unorganized and cluttered. Once the bedroom was sorted out she started on the living room and kitchen. I'm living in a fairly small condo in Lakeview with a hobby that takes up a ton of space. In my spare time I brew beer which requires buckets, beer bottles and tons of other equipment which was cluttering my entire living room/dining room area. I have very limited closet space for storage and had no idea how I was going to manage storing all of it without it being in the way. She was able to figure out how to best use every each of my storage to take back my living room from the buckets and countless boxes of bottles for upcoming brewing creations. Overall, if I had to pick a favorite thing about the experience it would be her ability to re-use/re-purpose a lot of the existing furniture I had to put it to better use. My plan next is to hire her to organize and declutter my office which I can't wait to see how she can fix this!

First, she worked with my teenage son to organize his room and convert an ugly, cluttered loft into a very cool "teen cave" that he and his friends really enjoy. Her encouraging words to my son about the importance of taking care of his things really seems to have hit home. He's keeping his rooms much neater now - including making his bed!!! I really feel this has been a lesson that will last him a lifetime. It went just as well in the rest of the home - from my bedroom to the common areas. We unloaded so many things that we absolutely don't need anymore and now have a very comfortable and well organized home. And it's not just the decluttering and organizing that we are so happy with. Her talent with decorative touches is wonderful - and we're now proud to show off our home. She's just great!

She's amazing. She's very patient, understanding and helpful. She knows what she's doing. She's an organizer. She's not cheap but she was very, very good. I was happy with it. She tries to teach you. She calls to check up on me to see how I was doing with certain things. She's really cool. I think she goes above and beyond. You feel like she really cares. She puts me at ease and makes me feel comfortable. It was a positive experience and it was great.
Description of Work: I did use Clear the Clutter. She helped me clear some clutter in and she's coming back to clear some more. My bedroom is where we had it done. She pulls everything out from my closet and drawers and make me choose which one I wanted to keep. She'll organize it and try to help you break that habit.

Stacia showed up on time, with a bright and bubbly personality and a can-do attitude. She immediately got to work and worked very hard the whole time she was here. She unloaded boxes, sorted clothing, helped cull through the itms for discards, organized clothing as to season and use and placed them in the closets. When she left, she took the discards with her! My closet looks amazing and I think of her every day when I'm getting things out of my closet. This was money well spent!

Stasia was great. She helped me declutter almost every room and pack our stuff for our move. We moved a month later, but I needed to clean out my house so I could put my house on the market. She also helped me stage my house for showings. She was very professional. I would hire her again.

This is the second time I have used Clear the Clutter services. Both times, Stasia was prompt, professional and very pleasant to work with. She has a great sense of humor, which keeps the process from being drudgery. We sorted through piles of papers, business cards, and more - culling a lot unnecessary stuff and prioritizing/organizing the remainder. She organized and set up a system for archiving publications. We accomplished in 3 hours what would take me at least a day to get through. My space is now pleasant and I'm feeling much more efficient, since I'm not looking for everything. Before leaving she did a little staging of areas for more appeal and also left me with a quite useful action list for me to follow up on. The service was worth every penny to me. I love working in my office now. I would definitely use this service again. I plan on calling Stasia when I need to get my house ready to sell.

Clear the Clutter is a great service. Stacia helped me to finally get my house in order, literally. We've been working together for the past five weeks getting my house organized in preparation for the arrival of our second child. During that time frame, we cleared out the family room, baby's room, my son's room, the garage, front hall closet, laundry room, and created an office space and play space. She really listened to what I needed and encouraged me to make the tough decisions involved in clearing out my cluttered home. The results have been magnificent and now instead of apologizing when people visit, I tell them that I used the help of an organizer to finally get my act together. Her help was well worth the money. I will definitely be calling her back after the baby is born to assist in getting my bedroom and kitchen in order. I would recommend if you've been thinking about getting help with organization, that you give Clear the Clutter a call.

We moved a TON OF CLUTTER AND CHAOS, but one of the things that impressed me most about Stasia and our session was her commitment to eliminating waste. We recycled so many things- including cassette tapes - hello! Who knew those could be recycled?!! Stasia knows. And she takes it all with her to go to it's proper home. At the end, we had approximately one grocery bag of trash. Everything else was to be donated, recycled, or repurposed. That felt amazing. And it inspired me to be better about repurposing items and coming up with creative solutions vs buying new products. She was very patient with me and my inevitable see-sawing on certain items. She helped me to focus on what an item's true value/ purpose/ or meaning was for me. Her insights and coaching helped me make some previously difficult decisions. In the end, she helped stage my reading nook so that it was stylish and comfortable. We even repurposed old sticky shelf liners to hold the rug in place. GREAT EXPERIENCE !
Description of Work: Stasia was WONDERFUL!! I have an erratic( understatement) schedule due to some health issues. Stasia worked with me and all of my changes...and came up with a solution to the scheduling problems ( on my part) that worked well for both of us. She arrived on time, with toolkit in hand, ready to work. Knowing I wasn't feeling my best, she paced the session accordingly, and barely let me lift a finger. We did an initial apartment overview ( since I could never commit to this step on a separate day.). We selected an area to work on, and Stasia took her " before" picture. I didn't think that the pictures would matter to me, but I Treasure my before and after photos because the transformation was INCREDIBLY DRAMATIC. I couldn't wait to email them to friends- all of whom were SHOCKED at the change achieved in a 3 hour session. We cleared my reading area on the sun porch, which had been buried for well over a year! It is the only clear spot in my apartment- so I live sitting there.

Stasia was completely professional every step of the way. She responded timely to my online inquiry (within 24 hours), she did a great job of listening to my questions and concerns, she clearly explained how she works, what I could expect and the cost. She was able to schedule a session with me within just a few days, she confirmed the appointment by email twice, and she arrived on time for our appointment. Stasia was very reassuring and enthusiastic as we tackled my dysfunctional home office, which was important to me, as I was feeling completely overwhelmed by all the paper. She broke down the tasks she needed me to do in very manageable pieces, and when I was working on the sorting that I had to do myself, she was continuously in motion working on other areas on her own. It was great to spend a few hours with such an upbeat cheerleader and coach, all rolled into one person! I could not believe we got the office back to a functional (and beautiful) state in just one three hour session. I do have some remaining homework to do with the paper that did not get shredded, recycled or thrown away, but it is much more manageable to me. And I know that if I need more help, I can just call Stasia to get me through this last part. I was so happy with the results, I scheduled her to come back in a couple of weeks to help my daughter in her room. Now, there's a room that will definitely be a challenge!

I had been working on a computer in my living room, because the office was too dysfunctional, and so I guess you could say she helped me reclaim my living room, too! All in a single, three hour session.
