Capitol Appliance Repairs

The service man that came to the house was wonderful. He was courteous, knowledgeable and went out of his way to fix the problem. The first diagnosis did not fix the problem and he persisted till it was repaired correctly. On the other end, the office personnel was rude, and deliberately gave us incorrect information about the time of arrival and status of the repair parts. We waited unnecessarily for hours for the serviceman to show when he wasn't even scheduled that day.

If you are considering hiring Capitol Appliance Repair to fix your appliance...., BEWARE! Capitol Appliance Repair has several listing but they are all the same company. I hired this company to fix my gas oven. They came out an attempted to fix my oven but did not have the right part. I paid them $286.67. They would order the part and install it. Two weeks past and I received a call that the part had to be special ordered and it would take 3 more weeks. I agreed. After 5 weeks I called the company . They told me that the part was not available any more. So, I asked for a refund. It would take 2 more week to process. My original check was cashed the day after I gave it to them. I waited for my check and when I contacted the manager, she told me that it was mailed to the wrong address. When I demanded to receive my refund, she offered to bring my money in cash. Again, they did not show up at the scheduled time. I called again and demanded my refund. They did not fix my oven. I had to purchase a new stove/oven. I directed them to send me my refund as a money order. They were told to scan the money order and email the picture of the money order to me before mailing the money order to me . I verified my mailing address with the manager several times. I received the scanned copy of the money order….that was 4 weeks ago
