I attempted to obtain an estimate to repair water damage caused by a water heater leak. Stacy Morgan immediately appeared to be annoyed because he had not been used for the demo part of the project. He then proceeded to tell me how to misrepresent the amount of damage done so my insurance company could be bilked for additional monies. He detailed the inordinate amount of his time he would waste in writing up an estimate. I never got the estimate. He ended up walking out of my home, saying "I was just trying to help you out."

The house was done in a timely manner. The only hold ups we had was waiting on the city inspections for all the permits that were required. Again, Stacy managed all of this. A plus contractors: - rebuilt the house from studs - sealed the studs (because of the smoke) - replaced the roof - replaced the electrical - updated the plumbing - poured concrete for a patio - drywalled the house - designed and built a new kitchen - knocked down a wall for an open concept - painted and decided on all the finishes The house looked so pretty! He even added a little garden in the front without being asked to increase the appeal. The house was on the market for one day and we had an offer! But the most important thing to me in this whole situation, is that as skeptical as I am about contractors, I had to have faith in him because I had my hands full at home with my 3 little kids. I traveled to New Orleans only once a month to track the progress. I was so worried about this job. But Stacy/ A Plus Contractors did the job well and timely. Whenever I called with questions, he answered or called back in less than a day. I would definitely hire A Plus Contractors again.

He got on the roof with a co-worker and surveyed damages. He stopped there saying he needed $500 for the estimate. He wanted information from the insurance companies and I gave him copies of paperwork they provided to me. I also sent a letter to them stating they could speak to him directly regarding the work. He told me he couldn't do anything until the insurance companies came back out to inspect the home. He told me the roof damage was around $12,000. I don't believe that was a fair assessment and have received estimates from three other contractors that say there is around $1,000 to $2,000 in damage. I will not pay him $500 for an estimate and he has not responded to any of my requests for the estimate. They are also still in possession of a disk of pictures I gave to them of the flood. I don't feel I could recommend this person to anyone in the future.

I have had no problems with them for six years. He is an awesome man and he comes when I holler. His prices are reasonable.

He is an honest man. His prices are reasonable. He comes out when I need him.

I would recommend him very highly. We are happy with everything he has done.
