MIKE'S FLOORING & PAINT

.I found some tile for the back splash in my kitchen. The price was high and when I questioned an employee, she referred me to the store's owner, Michelle. Over the weekend, I noticed the distributor name on the tile board, which was Viking Distributor's, so I called them and the woman on the phone gave me the price for the material. Mike's Flooring was asking $21.00 per square foot in the store. The distributor had it for $7.14 per square foot. I went to Michelle and told her that I had the tile and that I had called the distributor and they had it for a lower price. Michelle asked to call me back. She did not call me back and at the end of the day, I called her and she quite blatantly said, "We don't want to do business with you and don't come back to our store" and then hung up on me. A couple of days later I get a call from the local police saying that they are investigating the matter of identity theft and theft of property from the store. They asked me if I still had the tile board and I said, "Yes, I do. The lady told me I could not come back to the store, what was I supposed to do?" The officer said they would need the tile board back and that they were also investigating the matter of identify theft. The woman at the distributor told them that I posed myself as Mike's Flooring employee to obtain the price, which was not the case. I said I would be ordering the material through Mike's Flooring, the woman interpreted it however she interpreted it. If Michelle had taken a moment to speak to me would have realized that there was no malicious intent behind any of it, I was just trying to get a good price on material. She got my installer to drop out on me and she called around to the other stores telling them not to deal with me.
