Mike was very thorough and detailed with his information. He not only told us what the problems were but explained why the were issues in the first place. Whenever he found a problem he would call for us to come look and then explain everything to us and our realtor. He also provided us with a hard copy printout including color photos. At the end of the inspection he went through the photos and report with us again to make sure we understood everything. All in all the inspection took about an hour and a half. The price was very reasonable especially considering he drove over 30minutes to get there and did not charge extra.

mr mike took photos and made documentation of everything that he inspected. i received print outs of the photos as well as a disc for myself and a disc for my real estate agent. once i met with him on site, he showed me just about everything he inspected. mr mike was very polite and helpful, and all around a cool guy.

He was good. He was no. 1 in our area. He was thorough and he came back to check or make sure that everything was done. He also went up to the attic, we have not put a light up there in case we need something to be repaired. He checked to make sure that they repaired it. He is working with you and not working with the contractor. Sometimes you think the good old boys get together but he reassured us that he was working for us and not the builder. He was personable. I called him later about a problem and gave me some information. His personality and everything were great. He saw a lot of things in the construction but a man came to look at the landscaping said why there is a crack on my brick... I didn't notice that. He said "Didn't the inspector see?" I said "No, if he did, he did not say."

They were awesome! Very knowledgable and honest. They are truly concerned with the well being of the homebuyer! They checked EVERYTHING possible and gave us detailed reports on things that were good, bad, or just required a small fix.

We had a number of real estate agents from different companies tell us that Mike Roberts was the best home inspector in Monroe. We set up an appointment, and he promptly returned our call and scheduled us. On the day of the inspection, he arrived with a helper who assisted in typing up the report. Mike did a thorough job inside the home, under the house, in the yards, in the attic, etc. At the end of the inspection, he went over his full report with us, and provided us both a printed copy of the report and a CD with the pictures he took. He explained the good and the bad about the home, and offered low cost solutions and ideas on how to remedy some of the flaws. Overall, we had an excellent experience with HSH and will use him again as needed.

This service was outstanding. Not only did Mike alert me to important issues to consider during my first time buying a home, but he went over his very thorough, documented report with me over several hours. He was very knowledgeable about infrastructure issues, such as electrical wiring, plumbing, HVAC, and roofing, which are necessarily the most expensive and concerning. I must add that Mike made me aware of a problem with older homes in this area, outdated knob-and-tube wiring. Some friends and neighbors of mine were having to rewire their entire home because their home inspector did NOT do a thorough job. Not only that, but the real estate agent was aware that the house was not to code. Mike actually knew about this house and its problems, and I was able to refer my friends to him for help with negotiating a settlement with the real estate agency that had sold them the house. I cannot say enough good things about Mike and his services. Not only is he extremely competent, but he is also a very pleasant person to work with. My strongest recommendation--and I'm a critical consumer!

He was in and out in 45 minutes. He allowed a home to pass inspection that should not have. There were things that should have been brought to our attention that were not. Fortunately, we were able to back out. He only sent us a few black and white pictures and 3 pages of write up. It appears he is for the realtor not the buyer.

It's been great. Mike is personable, and goes the extra mile. I have friends who have had a ton of work needed to their new home because the inspector was not thorough or did not communicate with them what he found. Mike feels responsible to his clients. I highly recommend him.
