I used them a long time ago. I would not use them again. When I moved and tried to cancel them, it was bad. I told them I moving someplace where they don't service. I had my own cable modem and they still tried to charge me for theirs after I cancelled service. It took me almost two years to get them to take that charge off. Whenever I move, I make sure they don't service the area.

It takes a couple of days to get an appointment which is way too long to have to wait. However, the technician was very professional and helpful. He was right on time.

Description of Work: After promotional price,the bill sky rocketed. The service sub ceptable to rain, false claim in stating doesn't happen with cable. Representatives knocking on your door for you to pay your bill. Channel selection wasn't that great.

This is a mixed rating issue. I've used Comcast for the past 7 years. I had been quite pleased. Then I purchased a new HDTV so I needed a new HD box. I had not been paying a monthly fee for the old box so, to save money, I downgraded my package. I purchased a ROKU to save money as well but they're not going to lose money. To only have internet (that the ROKU runs on) and cut cable to the bare minimum package was going to run my internet cost up by the amount that the lower package would save. Then my bedroom TV had no reception. They had failed to enter the correct passcode when they downgraded my package. I also discussed other issues with them and was told I would be called back to verify. I wasn't-two different times. I also had to pay for my own HDMI cable and was told by the two different technicians they don't always have enough. HOW CAN COMCAST RUN OUT OF HDMI CABLES? Summarizing-three visits and 7 phone calls over a two week period just to get a new TV working and to keep an old TV online was frustrating to say the least. I was told the technicians work under contract. I started paying $3.95/month to pay for technicians to come. That's why these visits only cost me $40. I'm not as happy with Comcast as I used to be but don't want the hassle of changing all my services. The technicians WERE very friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. Problems came as a result of the "foreign" operators not doing their jobs at times (not all of them) and Comcast's not supplying techs with equipment. Because of the foreign accents, I DID (politely)ask to be transferred to an operator in the U.S.(by law you can do that) but was sent to New Mexico (couldn't understand him very well either). I am disabled and had to move my TV cabinet out from the wall MANY times so Comcast could finally get my service going. The frustrating part (as with many companies now) is that they want to send the equipment to you or you go pick it up locally, then you do all the installing, including calling them AGAIN to set up the code. NO THANKS!! I consider that part of the monthly fee since so much "junk" is on TV. That is, part of the fee that I started paying extra for-$3.95/mo. so it wouldn't cost me $40 or more EACH VISIT. I ended up swapping the ROKU streaming box for a bluray with built-in WiFi and stream Netflix and HuluPlus (apps already on the bluray)for $7.99/mo. each. If it isn't on there, then I don't need to see it anyway. It isn't Comcast's fault there's so much trash on TV/movies but for the $40-$50/month for On-Demand they could definitely improve what you get!!!

I like the On Demand feature of Comcast Cable for the children's program where you can pull up their cartoons and kids shows. They're pretty responsive to your service request and they try to be as punctual as they can. The only fall that I have with them is their phones. When you call up, it will take forever to get a hold of them.
