They did a beautiful job. I had gotten some quotes and they were better. They were very fair and did some repairs that I needed to have done. In addition to the roofing they put some siding up for me. They did a very, very good job and I highly recommend them. I liked everything about them. They literally attacked this house; I have never seen so many people on a roof. They repaired a good bit of damage I had from a storm and were efficient in getting that handled. I had a problem with my roofline in the back caused by work that had been done wrong years before and they fixed that as well. They did a lot of corrective work and repairs as well as put on the new roof. They did the entire job in one day. They worked after dark and then cleaned up their mess. You couldn't find a single nail that was left. There was only one small problem and that was that no member of the crew spoke English and it was hard to communicate with them. But, I am proud of my roof.

Garcia gave cost estimate for copper roof drains. After approval 2 workmen arrived promptly and executed job promptly. Qualtiy of work was excellent. They were well equipped with all tools and supplies. Garcia gave cost estimate for replacing shingle roof on large house. Estimator was thorough. Gave detailed cost estimate. Provided reference of recently completed jobs. Chose a good weather window. Sent a crew of 7. Arrived promptly. Removed old shingles, but did not expose entire roof on first day in case of rain. Replaced all vent caps and chimney flashing. Comleted job in two days. Job foreman knew his busines. Cleaned and hauled away all debris. Removed roof nails with magnets. Excellent results. Very professional.

They were prompt, worked very quickly (large crew) however; sloppy. I know nothing about roofing, so for me to be able to see flashing that did not align properly in 3 different places does not give me confidance about things I can not see. Also, they were only fair in picking up the old roofing and nails. They did return this morning (2/13/2010) to replace the really "bad" places, only after I asked them to remove the yard sign as I would not recommend them to neighbors at this time.

It went very well. I had not one moment of frustration. The workers skillfully and efficiently replaced the old roof, left no Debris or nails behind . The Foreman came to inspect their work in the last hours before completion of the roof. Their Sales Rep worked patiently and diligently with me and my Insurance Company.

When material was delivered, called estimator and told him stacks were for 6 on 12 pitch, drip edge was wrong. When the crew arrived I told them not to use the drip edge and stacks, to no avail none of them spoke English. I've had this house for 40 yrs., have had several roofs installed, so I knew what it needed. Two men came back and took the 1" drip edge off which required cutting 3" off the waterproof; went and got roll of waterproof cut 6" wide strips off and covered the drip edge to waterproof under layment. Good news: doesn't leak, first time in 40 yrs.

Before putting on new shingles, they were supposed to locate and replace rotten wood, yet they simply nailed new shingles ON TOP OF ROTTEN WOOD! On the garage, they used nails that were too long--they went through the soffit and stuck out about 1/4 an inch. The rotten wood element was the worst of it, and there appears to be more (some low places on the roof). They did some other stupid, lazy things like putting black caulk on an aluminum pipe. I have dealt with dozens of contractors, and they win the prize for flagrant neglect and downright cheating me as a customer. Their poor work was the source of great frustration and hours of subsequent repairs. This company does not regulate it's product or its workers.

It took a LOT of phone calls to get them to come out for an estimate. Then it took a LOT more phone calls to schedule the actual work. Then there was a mix-up on the actual work date and they showed up 4 days early! But, I have a beautiful roof. They worked long and hard and did a wonderful job of explaining what they were doing, cleaning up afterward, etc. I could have used several other roofing contractors but Garcia was the only one to give a written estimate without asking about insurance reimbursement. Also, they had the highest reputation when I did my initial research. I will recommend them but would caution that if you need your roof replaced during a peak time (like after the April, 2008 hail storm), you may have to either be willing to call them several times or wait until they can get back to you.

The whole experience was good. Craig, the estimator, came out as scheduled and gave us a comprehensive quote. Since our former shingles were not available any longer, Craig gave us several addresses to ride by to see if we liked those choices. The team came by as scheduled and worked in a timely and neat manner. Whenever any adjustments had to be made (due to damage) I was notified and given a quote immediately. Work was completed on the roof quickly, but we did have a little trouble matching the repair work that had to be made on our stucco. Garcia worked hard until we were very satisfied with the results.

A very detailed estimate was provided. Questions about installation techniques were answered, and additional information was volunteered by the agent. A newer shingle with higher wind rating was ordered in response to my request. While this took an extra week to arrive, I did not have a schedule constraint. The company also provided locations of completed roof installations for my viewing, and suggested alternative roof colors to help narrow my choices. Work was estimated for 1-1/2 days and was completed on schedule. Scheduling was successful in avoiding rain during January. The installation was neat and clean up was thorough.

Site visit (3/27), proposal received (4/10) and signed (5/22) and work started (6/20) and completed (6/21). Work done thoroughly and professionally. All debris (old shingles, nails, etc.) removed. Very pleased with quality of work and personnel. Will recommend Garcia's Roofing to others.
