I am a happy returning customer of South Coast Solar, having worked with them on my new construction house in 2009. I worked with Rebekah Olinde as my South Coast Solar Sales Consultant. She is a true solar power professional; knowledgeable about all aspects of the solar panel process. She provided estimates for power generation, installation combinations, and cost. She assisted me with specialized financing. She answered all my questions, provided technical specs, a home shade report, design options and estimated power outputs. She came to my house to coordinate installation details with my garage builder and electrician. When supply chain issues came up Ms. Olinde advocated on my behalf with Sunpower Corp to prioritize my project. She deftly handled negotiations to ensure customer satisfaction, qualifying me for a returning customer rebate. My system was installed Nov 2022 and producing 50% of my electricity needs. I like monitoring performance with the My SunPower mobile app.

My husband and I used South Coast Solar. We found them to be very detailed, transparent and supportive. There was absolutely no pressure and our rep, Charro Hanahan, was very patient during our virtual and in-person meetings. She wanted to make sure we were clearly understanding all elements of the process. Since our initial purchase of 28 panels, we have added a Tesla power wall from South Coast Solar. Our experience with Charro and other members at South Coast Solar has been very professional, punctual, and supportive.

I could not be happier with the system that South Coast Solar installed. From beginning to end, the entire process was fantastic. My sales rep, Rebekah, was terrific. She explained everything in detail and answered every question I had. Rebekah checked in multiple times to let me know where we were in the process and what came next. From the office staff to the install team, everyone was very friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer any question I had. You can do your own research if you want, but after considerable time spent looking into solar panels, the SunPower panels are by far the best in performance, longevity and you cannot beat the warranty. My first Entergy bill after a full month of solar was $8.55. My only regret is not doing it sooner. We love our South Coast Solar system, along with our battery backup! Charro Hanahan was our point of contact through the whole process and made it easy to understand, design, install, and activate our system. We've already seen the bills go down and we are incredibly happy with our choice!

We worked with Rebekah at South Coast Solar to design our solar system with battery packs, she was very helpful in making changes to the system to suit our needs. Due to some supply chain challenges (batteries) the install was delayed, both she and Mandy were great in communicating the changes and working with our schedules. Install went great and the system is functioning perfectly. Rebekah's numbers off the model she provided are right on the money on a sunny day.

We were extremely happy to work with the South Coast Solar team for our Solar and Battery installation. As this was a new construction and took a longtime to complete, Grant helped us navigate each of the steps. Thank you to Ashley and Mandy in the office for taking care of all the details. I wanted to sing the praises of Charro and her team at South Coast Solar! For context, I am a first-time solar customer and would call myself highly skeptical of the real benefits vs. all the claims that are made across the industry. The reason I was in the market was to take advantage of the federal tax credit being raised to 30% (helping offset a high tax bill). It is no exaggeration to say I took 11 months and several varied quotes until I decided to pull the trigger. Charro was nothing short of professional, patient, and candid when answering all my questions. The solar panel project/installation is all very high-quality build. The team has been very responsive, and I am already seeing a drastic reduction in my electric bills (more than what was even being projected). If you are considering a solar addition, I strongly recommend working with South Coast Solar.

South Coast Solar installed my panels this winter, and I'm so glad I decided to work with them. All of the staff and installers I spoke with were professional and knowledgeable, and I really felt like they helped me find the best possible option for my home. I have 18 SunPower 360W panels installed on my roof: 9 panels for my unit, and 9 for my tenant's unit. Both units are pretty small so our bills aren't that high (I pay electricity for both sides), but I'm excited to see the savings and be more environmentally-friendly, too. The panels are on a hard-to-see roof (I had to walk across the street and down to take this picture), but they look great, and I wouldn't mind if they were more visible. All of the installers that came out to the house were polite, professional, and responsive, and they made sure that everything was cleaned up before leaving. I'm now waiting on Entergy to give me permission to turn my system on. Many thanks to the folks at South Coast Solar for working with me on this project - I'll continue to send homeowners interested in solar their way!

installation and subsequent operation has been flawless however monthly monitoring has not worked for the past year and I can not get help despite numerous calls to the office.

The solar panels were installed, I was informed they were working under the state deadline to get as many customers before July 1 st 2015 as possible and they would get back to the service upgrade after that. I had already paid for this service. In February 2016 I contacted them about the service upgrade. They sent a technician unannounced at 7:30 AM as I was leaving for the airport and I could not accommodate him. They made no attempt to reschedule. After numerous phone calls that were not returned we finally got someone to agree to come out and scope the job out. This was strange as I had provide them with photographs and allowed them to inspect the service when the contract was initiated. That afternoon I was engaged in a call with 3 people from South Coast Solar on their end giving me a barrage of reasons why they could not do the job for the price they had quoted. They offered a refund of my money or if they could re-use some existing equipment they would do it for the original quote if I picked up the expense of new breakers that would be required. I initially agreed but after consideration I requested a refund and was told it would be sent out that day. That was June 30 2016 and it is now July 11th and still no refund. I would be very cautious about doing business with these people.

The installation was made immediately before I left on vacation. The two installers arrived on time and completed the work on time. The inspection occurred while I was on vacation but so I was able to give an office contact the combination for the locks on my gate and electric box. They took the responsibility for getting the inspection done. Another salesman came by after I returned from vacation to install the new thermostat. This was a special that was offered to Angie's List members. Later when I had a question about the monitor display on the web site, I was answered within 48 hours.

We had a wonderful experience. They were very professional and very helpful. They seem to be a very outstanding company. They've done a wonderful job installing the solar panels in my home. They called to make sure that I was satisfied and that my experience was standard. They were very nice. It's beautiful.

One day install on roof, 1 day electrical install Set up a monitoring system and phone application coordinated all activities including Entergy cut over to new system I contacted another person who had the same system installed by another vendor. their system took 6 months to become fully operational. my system took less than 2 months.

No problems, would recommend without any reservations.

My contact with the company, Jason Brannon, worked very hard to make sure everything went smoothly and always promptly returned any phone calls or emails concerning any questions I might have.

I was guided by Jason Brannon, of South Coast Solar through the whole process. Jason came to my house to explain solar power systems and discuss what my needs were and how a system could be installed at my home on the roof. He took that information back to his design team and came back with several options for systems with different power output, cost and manufacturer. We discussed the options and I chose to go with a system with a total cost of $25,000 to maximize the 50% state and 30% federal tax credits. With the credits, my net cost was $5000 for the $25,000 system. The system we decided on was a 5.886 kW SunPower 327 watt module system. Jason guided me through the whole process from beginning to end, including obtaining a 12 month 0% loan to bridge the time before receiving tax credits and paying for the system, and SCS office providing all the paper work I needed for filing for the tax credits. He was excellent, professional and easy to work with and obviously had a great staff to work with. The installation crew did a great job, installing the system in just a few days. They were well qualified and professional. I highly recommend Jason Brannon and South Coast Solar to anyone interested in a solar power system. Even if your just starting to look into solar power, they are a great resource for learning about it and answering your questions. And by the way, I learned of South Coast Solar on Angies List when I first started looking for a solar power contractor.

Very, very well. SouthCoast provided us with a system that fully utilizes our useable roof and maximized our federal & state income tax credits. The salesman was one of the most professional I've ever encountered, and the installation crew showed up when promosed, were respectful & courteous and cleaned up after themselves. Our entire installation was completed in less than 2 days. SouthCoast coordinated with Entergy and has been very responsive to all of our questions & concerns, including a complete package with everything we needed to qualify for the state & federal tax credits. We're delightd to report that our system is well on its way to paying for itself!

It went very fast and smooth. It took a couple of weeks to get someone to come out to explain how it works but it looks good and is working well. I found two panels that were broken. Not sure how or when it happened but I noticed it in the first couple of weeks. They came out and replace them free of charge.

The consulting from South Coast Solar (SCS) was very helpful. We likely will not go with solar for now because it doesn't make the best financial sense for us. However, their consultant was extremely helpful and forthcoming in providing an estimate and answering questions. One drawback to getting estimates, especially in the U.S., is there are too many hucksters and people focused on making a sale at any expense. I've had terrible experiences in New Orleans, especially. Everyone acts like a seedy used car salesman, and you don't feel like you are getting an honest answer and explanation of costs, benefits, risks, etc. My experience with SCS was not like this in the least. Everyone was very professional and helpful. If we do choose to go with residential solar it will undoubtedly be with SCS.

It went very well. From the salesman to the installer personnel they were all very attentive and professional.

My experience with South Costal was excellent. They were very professional, answered all questions, and the employees were courteous, timely and respectful. The entire process from installation of the panels, applying for net metering, etc was flawless. They returned all calls and answered e-mails in a timely manner. They also gave me a packet to give to my CPA to file for state and federal tax credit. South Costal arrange a 1 year interest free loan that I will settle after receiving my federal and state rebate. My cost will be approximately $7000. My estimated brake even point will occur in approximately 6 to 7 years. The one problem I had, several months after completion of the installation, South Costal resolved quickly. The problem in retrospect was not due to South Costal installation but another unrelated problem separate and apart from the panels. Listen to me - They actually sent a work crew back out to resolve something they had nothing to do with. I'm past satisfied and would recommend them to anyone.

The entire process from start to finish was fast, professional, and easy. I was extremely impressed with my salesperson, Charles Ravaglia, who assisted me throughout the process. He provided power / cost estimates and completely explained the tax credits (which I have just received!). I've had the solar system for 5 months now and love seeing my electricity bill get smaller and smaller!
