Description of Work: I had several issues requiring attention. Some were addressed while others were not. Find Mr. Sparky to be quite pricey.

Description of Work: The work was performed well, but I could have used better guidance from the technician. I had some fuses upgraded because I was having frequent trips. The technician asked me to pick the wall to upgrade the fuses, but it turns out that the heavier appliances that I use fall on the wall I didn't pick.

Description of Work: I took advantage of the whole house inspection offer that was posted because I was having some problems with my blown fuses when I used different appliances. My home was built in 1970 and has aluminum wiring. Sam came out on the 23rd and gave me a through inspection and identified the problems and gave me an estimate on the job. I was very impressed with the way he carried out the inspection. He tested every outlet in the house. He treated my home with respect, he put coverings over his shoes to keep from tracking dirt on my floors as he went in and out of the house. He was very punctual, he arrived on the time agreed upon each time he came. He was very knowlegable about the problem and the solutions. He said that my home has aluminum wiring which is outdated and that a 30 amp breaker needed to be changed to 20 amps which was a dangerous situation. He installed new breakers and redirected the wiring to protect from costly damage and hazards. He installed new circuit to the microwave with new breaker and outlet. Installed G arc fault breakers on all aluminum circuits.

Description of Work: They installed motion-detector floodlights on my garage and in my driveway. They purchased the lights and installed them and tested them to make sure that they worked. The work went very well and was completed in one day. I would highly reccommend them for any electrical job.

Description of Work: REplaced 2 front door sconces, installed automatic dusk to dawn switch for same and fixed an outdoor junction box to my pool. Went smooth, no complaints.

Description of Work: We had some very powerful winds one night and I heard what sounded like a transformer blow, then a bright flash, and all the lights in the house blinked. We didn't lose power but the next morning I noticed that when I used the microwave, the hair dryer or bathroom heaters, all the lights in the house dimmed and you could tell the appliances weren't at full power. I called the power company since I suspected the transformer. They came out twice but found that all was okay. I called Mister Sparky and Sam came out within a couple of hours. He checked EVERYTHING and diagnosed it as a problem with the voltage that needed to be repaired by the power company so they came out a third time. This time VOILA, they found there was a problem with one of the wires where it connected to the transformer. I cannot thank Sam enough for the wonderful job he did in helping put an end to two frustrating days of low power. And he was happy to take my $30 Angie's List coupon!!

Description of Work: I purchased a Big Deal for the installation of an outside motion-detecting light within an already existing conduit. The electrician from Mr. Sparky arrived on time and installed the included light fixture in minutes. No problem.

Description of Work: Service technician was called to replace burned out security lights around my home. Besides replacing the lights, he replaced two motion sensors and two light sensors. He also fixed the front door bell button, did a safety check of the wiring system of the entire house, checked the fuse panel and repaired three outlets in the attic where the wires were not properly sealed by the contractor after Hurricane Katrina. He even checked all three smoke alarms and put new batteries in all of them. Because we were both disabled and could not handle these projects any longer, it was comforting to know they were being correctly performed.

Description of Work: Took down one ceiling fan, capped off. Installed new ceiling fan (I purchased) and bar in ceiling for hanging. added variable speed switch for fan. They aren't the cheapest in town, but they are extremely knowledgeable and their pricing structure is at least upfront and totally transparent. Very neat workman, polite, and punctual. Work van was well-stocked and nice-looking. Very happy with the job and would use again

He checked all the outlets and replaced the one that was bad in a timely and professional manner. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to my family and friends. Description of Work: had a most positive experience with Angie List recommendation to use Mister Sparky. I was in need of a surge protector for the house. I called, made an appointment and dreaded the ordeal ahead. Mister Sparky representative Christian showed at my door 5 minutes ahead of schedule, a very well spoken young man. He explained what he would be doing and got right to work. From start to finish including cleaning up, he was through is less than one hour and explained to me to call Mister Sparky if I ever needed them for any other problem. I was so impressed that I told all my neighbors. This was not a typical New Orleans experience. I do hope further appointments go as well.
