Put a huge hump in my sidewalk to cement down pipe instead of fishing pipe under the sidewalk. It is unsafe and looks ridiculous.

They are professional. They are kind and work quickly. You can trust them in your home and the work is always accurately.

I called the company to get an estimate to install a brand new 20kw generator that we had recently purchased. They sent a representative out within the week to look at the generator and our property. He came out on Aug 30. All he did was look at the generator we have (20kw) and try to sell us a larger one. We explained that we wanted to keep the one we had even if it didn't power 100% of our home. He did not inspect any part of our home and just said he would email the estimate for installation. It's been 3 weeks, and I had to leave a message every day this week before I finally got him on the phone. His response? He decided that he didn't want to install the one we have. Why did it take him 3 weeks to let us know? Good Question!! I obviously can't speak of the quality of their work, but I'm appalled by their lack of professionalism.

Problem: the $111 Coupon for up to $200.00 of electrical service I purchased did not include an $84.00 service charge. I was informed of the service charge when I called to schedule the estimate but I feel like I was duped. After giving some thought about the additional service fee I really wasn't happy about it but since I'd invested $111.00 I really didn't have a choice. When the electrician checked the equipment initially he stated he thought cost wouldn't be that expensive but he needed to check further and would need roughly 20 to 30 minutes. I went inside and he later joined me and stated the work was more extensive than originally thought and the cost would be $3,800 up! By the way, I work for a major employer in New Orleans that employs 1,700 employees including an Electrical Shop. The lead electrician gave me a ball park figure that wasn't anywhere near $3,800.00 so you can imagine my surprise at the $3,800 estimate! Needless to say I'm getting estimates from other vendors and then will decide which one will do the work. I'm not looking for a cheap price. I just want an honest quote for quality work that's not going to break the bank. Recently Dial One Electrical Company gave me an estimate of $2,800 but there are two other vendors I plan to see and then make a decision. Since I've invested $111.00 for the $200.00 of electrical work with Lightening Service Inc. they will complete $200.00 of the work but the contract will go to the company who gives the best offer. I have had no contact with the provider, I had to get another Electrician to do the electrical inspection in order to get my lights turned on.

He stop working last Thursday said he would be back this Wednesday. The service guy didn't show up to finish and didn't call.

I didn't hire them because they were expensive and tried to push me to sign a contract with them before getting other estimates. It turns out they were much higher than 2 other bids I received, even with a $750.00 discount for signing a same day contract. The salesman was slick in a subtle way and very professional and knowledgeable. The salesman also told me that the generator I wanted wouldn't be available from the manufacturer for 1 1/2 months, then they could do the installation. The other contractors I spoke to said they could get the generator within a few days to a week. I certainly had the sense that the job would be well done and I wouldn't recommend not hiring them. I would however, recommend getting two other bids, then call them for an estimate and go with what feels right.

Terrible. they did not want to put the generator where I wanted. finally they agreed, but instead of going underneath my sidewalk, they laid the gasline on top of the sidewalk and cemented it there. There is now a big hazardous hunk of cement hill on my sidewalk. they did not clean up after the electrical work in the attic. I will not reccommend them and will not use them again in the future.

The technician, Greg Braun, was very personal and polite. He was on time and knew exactly what was wrong. Greg took the time to explain what the problem was and how it was causing the problem. Despite the complicated A/C system we have, he had everything up and running within 2 hours. Greg was extremely professional and I would highly recommend Lightening Service, Inc. for any A/C repairs! Thank you!!!

I felt condescended to and ripped off, but it was my own fault as I had taken the day off to get these repairs done and just wanted to get it over. The price I paid for these minor repairs was 1100 AFTER they took off 200 for my coupon.

The work was done promptly and was good quality. The technician was professional and efficient. I was pleased with all aspects but the price, which I considered to be very high for what was done. The person who called me about the job said that she could not give me a price estimate over the phone, it would depend on the amount of work involved. But the pricing was actually flat rate per item installed. When I got the initial price I reduced the scope of work to get the price down from $1400, but in retrospect I should have just declined to have the job done and forfeited the $100 I paid for the deal. Regarding whether I would use this provider again, I would only do so with competing estimates from 3 providers for the work.

Jason is highly qualified and fixed a number of other things that were out of code regarding the box. He will definitely do the job right to code standards. Pricing is very high as they look everything thing up in a pricing book. The work described cost about $4500. It is done correctly though. The 200 dollar big deal was not worth it considering the amt I ended up paying.

not pleased I called Lightning for an estimate on a standby generator for my home. I have owned one before at another home so I already knew the basics and just wanted to get a quote from this company since it is in my neighborhood (Old Metairie). Their sales person came out to the house and was punctual and professional. However, I was told that a generator sufficient to run my entire home would be $28,000 and there would also be a preliminary fee of $800 to evaluate my home for the "amperage". Well, I already knew that the generator needed to run my entire home (a 20kw) would cost between 6K- 7K AND to figure out my "amperage" one only needs to read my main circuit breaker which identifies the amperage capacity of the electrical panel and will have a number on it identifying its amp capacity such as "100" or "150". 100 amp service is the minimum allowed by code today, with 150 amp being very common. Electrical panels are also available in 200 amp. My amp is 200. So, it was apparent to me that the assumption of Lightning is that they could pull something over on me. I called the owner "Barry" and left a message explaining my concerns and asked for a return call. He never reached out to hear about my concerns. Therefore, I got a quote from another company (Hebert Enterprises, Inc.) Jeremy Hebert 985-796-3060. Jeremy came out and for a standby generator (20kw) that runs my entire house, he could provide the generator, run the natural gas line and get the necessary permit for about 9K. So, I am going with Hebert Enterprises.

They put in little booties when they come in the house so that they would not spread dirt. They put down rugs in front of the air conditioning unit so that no dirt will fall on the floor. They are very professional and I would use them again in the future if needed.

DON'T EVEN WASTE YOUR TIME CALLING THEM!

They were very prompt, very quick and very professional. They kept us advised every step of the way, when they were going to be here. The guy called when he was on his way. Everything was great. We signed a one year contract to do servicing bi-annually. It is up for renewal and we are going to renew it. They were wonderful and we would recommend them. They were a little bit expensive.

He did one job for me already, and he was excellent. The overall experience is excellent. The quality and price are excellent. I will use this company again.

They are prompt in responding. They are here within twenty four hours as they are in a service contract or in emergency issue. They are courteous and very clean. The guys are always polite. They give me a written estimate beforehand. Their price is little bit on the higher side. I would use them in the future.

From the start, things were excellent. Very quick response time. We were contacted in a timely manner when they were on the way, when they found any problem, and were notified of cost prior to any repairs being made. I was completely satisfied with the performance and professionalism of Lighting Services. I would recommend them to anyone that is in need of A/C services.

They were good. They were very thorough, very professional, they were great. They did a fine job, they were very tidy, I was very pleased. I thought their price was a little high but given that they were so thorough and I really had a comfortable feeling about their ability that I was willing to pay it.

They are locally owned, their fees are comparable to everyone else in the area but the men are quite knowledgeable about what needs to be done. When they installed the heater they cleaned up after themselves, they vacuumed the carpet, they wore shoe covers and called ahead of time to say they were coming. They were on time, their estimate was right on target for the cost of the work.
