Kingfish has been taking care of our pool since we purchased our home years ago. Our oasis is in pristine condition year round and they’ve also done some needed repairs. Their crews are very professional and I would highly recommend them.

Had a pool built by Kingfish nearly four years ago and serviced by Kingfish since. I recommended to a few friends back then. Sadly, I can no longer recommend. Employees are lazy, don’t bother calling to schedule or reschedule, etc. They didn’t clean my pool AT ALL for a month until I complained, even then just sent someone else to do a poor job. Still charged me, chemicals and all, and never made it right. I finally let Kingfish go recently after I complained about my salt cell blinking for three weeks straight. When I called to complain the owner came to my house and told me how to fix my pool, all the stains etc his employees I’ve paid to care for the pool caused, and then left fully understanding his failure to even offer to make it right is why he lost a customer. I almost forgot, when I complained he just said, “it’s hard to find good help”… In short, they did a good job building four years ago. Do not hire them to service your pool, you’re better off doing it yourself and saving the wasted money. Ten days after firing Kingfish, with the help of Ducky’s testing, my pool looks and feels amazing. **Edit - I had to come back and lower to one star as Kingfish still charged me FULL PRICE for their lack of service and then blew me off when I requested at least a partial refund. RUN AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. Shady business practices galore.

On 7/1/2022, a very knowledgable young lady came out and checked the pool's pump and motor and found that the problem was the impellor in the motor. She emailed me the quote for the job, and also stated that the part wasn't in stock and that it would be next Wednesday (7/13/2022) when they will be able to fix it and that Felicia will keep me updated. Well, Felicia never called, texted or left a voicemail on 7/13/2022. So, when I called the buisness this morning (7/14/2022) I was told that there was no update from Felicia. Well, Felicia texted me with a lot of crap, saying that she came to my house earlier this week and she rang the bell and called, which was a lie. I work from home and I work on my computer in the livingroom and the frontdoor is a glass door and I can see whenever someone comes to the door, and not only that Alexis announces when someone rings the doorbell. She claimed she came earlier doing the week, but didn't attempt to come on the day assigned to her 2 weeks. Then she text and says she's trying to work with me when she's the one that screwed up. Their professionalism stinks, and this person Felicia has no integrity!!!! Dont waste your time or money!! I will never refer these people to anyone!!!

We hired them to do weekly maintenance. They claimed to be able to work with our Hayward sense and dispense system but it took months of coaching to get them to properly fill the acid tank. We also had them install a heater and went with their horrible recommendation of a Pentair Sta-Rite 400k BTU Heater, which was terrible and nowhere near as powerful as our Hayward 400i BUT heater that had broken down due to the water chemistry. Well, nine months later, after Kingfish failing themselves to correct the problems in the chemistry, the heater failed and Pentair would not honor the warranty. So, realizing this was their mistake, Kingfish put in a 260k Jandy heater without even telling me. Naturally, it didn't heat the pool even as well as the Pentair Sta-Rite, which worked great even in the colder months. Moreover, there is a louver error that happens constantly and so the circuit breaker need to be turned off and on for the heater to even work and the moment the filter goes off, it goes off again. They also took forever to figure out what was causing leaks in the pool, having a leak detection service come and fail to detect a major leak that it actually detected during another visit several weeks later for a leak that would have been in place many months before their first visit. This caused major issues with the filter which had to be replaced, probably due to their failure to correct the leak. So here we are, stuck with a heater that barely works, a pool we haven't been able to use for months, and a near impossible time finding someone who isn't backed up for months to come fix this.

UPDATE: After having initial issue with work. The owner and I after long discussion have come to agreement and he has corrected the problem.

They made repairs that I feel were not well done. The plaster on the pool looks ok, but now my pool is not holding any water. Before they came out the pool held water just fine. Now the company is wanting to come out for an additional $450 charge. If they find that they were at fault then I will not have to pay for the additional fix, but I don't believe that they will find any fault with their work. They were very quick to refill the pool before I was able to look into the work that they did and I feel that I should have been allowed to inspect the work before it was refilled. They also left my yard a mess and I had to contact them several times to come back and clean up the yard. I feel that they used very poor skills and are not owning up to their mistakes. He showed up earlier today to do what I though was a general follow up on their work. But they then submitted a bill for $130, because he was under the impression that we had agreed to start weekly services. I have never signed an agreement for these services and would not have agreed to have him come out while no one was at home.

There was almost no chlorine (.83), the alkalinity was low (75) and the ph was low (6.5). But what was upsetting was that the cyanuric acid was at 187. The people who came out said I needed to drain water. I had the water checked at a pool store and they said draining water is the only way to lower the cyanuric acid. At the very least this should never have happened. He was relying on poorly educated techs, who could not tell that an intermatic timer wasn't running and who used stabilizer tablets past a reasonable level, causing the cyanuric acid problem. He has agreed to pay for water if I decide to replace the water. But he denies that he took the wrong pump and uses the fact that he billed me and I paid the bill as his proof he did nothing wrong.

Kingfish Pool services did an excellent job with the repair. They were timely and prompt for appointment times and willing to work with my schedule. Sometimes it took awhile to get someone to call me back, but they always did. Felicia is an excellent technician and a pleasure to deal with. Most of the cost of the repair was covered by my homeowners warranty. Actually getting the repair done took quite awhile, thought this was due more to having to go through the warranty company that any problem on Kingfish's part. About a week after initially replacing the pump, the hot tub began tripping the breaker. I verified with an electrician that this was not a problem with the breaker and called Kingfish back. They send Felicia back out and she determined the replacement pump was malfunctioning and had a new pump in place the same day. It's been working great since then.

The plaster came out great and I even noticed the owner of the company inside the pool troweling. They walked me through the whole new plaster startup. Thanks to billy and his crew!!
