water heater repair
+ -1 moreWhen I questioned them about the amount of money they were charging me for the permit and inspection, which they were happy to explain. They had to go to different offices, come to my property and wait on the inspector, etc. Price also includes fixing a leak in my tub, also re-routing the heat for the dryer. This included going up into the ceiling and put in a new route from the daisy chain to the dryer.
Description of Work: I hired them to put in a tankless hot water heater. They did a really great job. They informed us it wasn’t the same as hooking up a stove, or anything like that. Because of the type of work, this required a permit and an inspection. They applied for the permit, as they want to do it per code. This ensures insurance coverage upon any possible malfunction. They took out my 40 gallon tank from my laundry room and put in a tankless system outside near the gas and water meter. In doing so, they had to re-route the gas and the water. This type of water heater has to be on a separate line. It can’t be hooked to the daisy chain as it heats up the water immediately, requiring a larger line for gas.
