Earls Plumbing and Heating LLC

Earl's was recommended by a family member who is a plumber. We have used them over the past year approximately 4 times. They have responded promptly each time, even during a holiday. Our biggest project was the tankless gas water heater that was installed during the coldest part of our winter. This was an outside mount, so they did all the work outside in the weather. They came out for the estimate (at no cost) and had the work done in two days. Our latest work was the ending of a kitchen remodel. We have an old home and lots of surprises are always waiting in the wings. They had to go above and beyond to get everything working properly which required two trips. We had the same two plumbers for each job and that was a nice touch. We get a phone call early am letting us know they are on the way. Bob, appeared to be the project leader. He is pleasant, thorough and professional. Many thanks to him and his helper (my apologies for not knowing his name).

Earl's service is outstanding. Despite most likely being the busiest plumbing company in Metaire, they always send someone in a timely manner. We have used them several times and they are always reasonably priced and honest about what needs to be done. Earl's is the ONLY plumbing company we will ever use.

They responded quickly to my call and set up an appointment. The plumber arrived on time, performed the task quickly, and was courteous.

He was very good and they did a wonderful job. I had my sister join Angie's list too and this company worked for her last month.

The plumber was courteous and nice , however I called for an appointment to fix a broken bathroom sink drain and unclog. I called on a Wednesday and it was scheduled for Friday. The plumber came late in the day Took the drain apart and ascertained that he didn't have the appropriate size replacement part. He told me that the next appointment couldn't be until the following Wednesday because of the Mardi Gras holiday. However I could call it in as an emergency and just pay a little more for the call . Right! He left without completing the job. They have called me and we had a nice conversation. They apologized and were very sorry for the lack of service. They have since reimbursed my fee.

They are very personable and accommodating. They do great work and are also very knowledgeable. I have been using them for a while for any plumbing needs and will continue to do so.

The plumber, Nathan, and his helper, Jordan, did an awesome job! Nathan was very easy to communicate with, and seemed quite competent in his job. He was patient while listening to my issues, and was able to address everything in one visit. I scored a "B"on punctuality, only because it is difficult to block out a whole day for service. I would definitely use Earl's again.

Called on 12/23/14 @ 0800 to request service to replace a drain pipe, move 2 water feed lines, and remove floor furnace and gas lines. Crew was supposed to call before showing up on 12/29, but never showed up or called. Contacted Earl's again on 12/30 to let them know what happened. They stated that the project was cancelled by me; which it was not. States that they are having computer problems, and I agreed to give them another opportunity and scheduled again for the 01/02/15. Crew contacted me at 0700 and arrived on time at 0800. Crew was professional, personable and thoroughly inspected the project; which included spending a considerable amount of time under the house on a nasty, humid, wet day. A written estimated was provided, which I consider a very reasonable price; especially considering Earl's having to re-work a previous owners shoddy work. Crew also explained in detail how and why of all the specifics and issues that they would be addressing and repairing. Project was awarded and work is scheduled to be performed on 01/08/15 @7:30am. 01/06/15: Receive call from Bruce that the entire estimate (900.00) was charged to my credit card instead of the $45.00 call out fee. I agree to let the charge stay since they are scheduled to come out in two days....Bruce is unaware of this project being scheduled. 01/08/15: Crew does not show (again), and I call to inquire. First contact was with Lisa, who states that Bruce just talked to me, which is untrue. Next I talk to Bruce who states the call project was cancelled by me(again?), which it was not. He then states that he is looking at the wrong call, and that the computers are down (again?). He then states that the plumber has the flu and will not be coming, and they have no one else available. Reschedule again form 01/13/15.

Everything went fine. He came did the job then left.

Charged me $45 to give me an estimate. Included in the estimate was $400 for bringing my gas vent up to code. They said they couldn't complete the work I called them for unless the vent was up to code. I told them I would consider it and called 2 more plumbers and a general contractor who all said that my gas vent was 100% up to code. They were trying to charge me $400 to change something that wasn't even necessary. They are either incompetent or dishonest. Either way I wouldn't let them back in to my house.

They were prompt, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I was comfortable having them in my home.

They came to the conclusion the water softener was the source of the problem. They connected with a hose bypassing the water softener and they found that there was a problem. They found the water softener was clogged inside with the connections. So they left the house with full running water and they advised to get with the water softener to get it fixed. They charged $170.00 with the coupon.

I had a copper water line broken while my house was being levelled, and I called Earls. As it was after hours they said they'd send the after-hours provider who said he charged $150 per hour. I was appalled, and decided to await the next day when the regular provider could do the work. As it turned out the guy Earl's sent had neither the correct tools nor the correct parts to sweat on a new copper fitting - a pretty basic job. I had to loan him my torch and solder, AND I had to go to the hardware store to buy the fitting for him. The job took him an hour and a half, and he charged me $275 for the work.

Scheduling on the phone was good, although I did not realize that I had to transfer to the part of the company that does outdoor work, which schedules things independently of the indoor work part of the company. They were able to schedule a crew quickly, within 3 business days, to do a very complicated job. They arrived on time, with the right equipment and the right people for the job. They had to cut through concrete, re-route plumbing lines, work around a large and heavy water fountain, restore concrete on the sidewalk. The price was exactly what the estimate was that they provided over the phone. They did all this in the matter of half a day. Earl's Plumbing was there, finished and gone before I ever received a quote from their competition. I had requested that quote a day before speaking with Earl's. When the competitor did contact me a few days later and offered to give me the quote, I said "Sorry, you missed all the action. It's over."

Have used Earl's in the past. Always great. Punctual, professional, gets the job done. Cost is reasonable.

The only thing I don't like about Earls plumbing is they were unable to give me any time window. They could arrive at 9am or 5pm or any time inbetween. Once I was told they would arrive in the morning and they showed up at 5.30 pm. Other than that they're great.

Called in the morning and had servicemen at the house that same morning. Very professional servicemen who explained every step of what they were doing. Would definitely use them again.

They were absolutely A+. I'm very impressed and they are the best plumber I have ever had. They came out fix it. They were polite, courteous and cleaned after themselves.

The two service technicians, Josh and Leroy, were very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable. We had a garbage disposal replaced last week by another plumber. The previous plumber forgot to take out a plastic plug when he hooked up the new disposal. That plug caused the dishwasher not to be able to drain, causing the mess. Josh and Leroy saw the problem immediately and removed the plastic plug that the other plumber forgot to take out. The dishwwasher worked fine after that. They were here only a short time, and most of that time was explaining what the problem was to us. After approval from their company, they did not charge us for the service call. Amazing! There are some understanding people left in this world. If we ever have a plumbing problem again, we will call Earl's Plumbing and ask for Josh and Leroy. Bless you, boys!

Bob and Leroy did an excellent job! They were extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They thoroughly explained everything they were going to do before they started working, and again while they were working. They also answered all of my questions. It's so nice to have everything fixed, and be educated on it in the process. They deserve to be commended for the work they do.

I had a bathtub that was leaking. They definitely came out when they said they were going to. They were able to address the problem fairly quickly. I did feel like he knew what he was doing. He was able to address that. He also did while he was there he heard the toilet was running a little so he replaced the flapper which he didn’t need to so that was above and beyond what I had expected so that was good.
