Description of Work: My husband called them Friday morning because we are having a sink problem. They said they could come out on Monday. Since they said they would come out we didn't reach out to any other service providers. We waited all day Monday and didn't hear from them. I called them back Wednesday morning and they told me that they didn't have any record of our appointment in their system. Instead of apologizing for the situation they were making excuses. When I told her that I was going to contact Angie's List she then offered to get someone out the same day.

Description of Work: They came out to give me a bid on moving a sink in my laundry roo, from one end of the room to the other. I was to get the bid tnext day or the day after that. I never heard from them again. That is absolutely unacceptable and shows me they are not a dependable comapny.

Description of Work: Upgrade to code for gas lines and connections, including replacement of connections and some valves. Replace large outside venting duct (for floor furnace) that had blown off in Katrina. Inspect all gas lines and appliances (stove, dryer, 3 heaters). Replace dryer vent.

+ -1 morePlease see above note. Due to initial experience and demand for fee to provide estimate as well as being told that even though I have very recent video inspections in hand, they would have to run (and charge) for their own, I will not bother to use them.
Description of Work: Company will not even provide an estimate for less than $45. I need to have my entire plumbing system replaced, current estimate is at $15,000. I have already paid for and have video inspections in hand though I have been told they would have to do their own. Mine were done a month ago and used to settle a court case with my insurer. I have already spent $5,000 for a structural engineer as well as plumbing experts. I am not spending more or being told I must do something I know is not needed. Receptionist was very rude and if their work is any reflection if their customer service from my experience I wouldn't trust them to watch another plumber do the work.

+ -1 moreAfter accepting their quote, Earl's came out to dig the initial hole and begin hydro-tunneling. They realized that the map of our plumbing that was used to quote the job (we had submitted the map from another company's quote) was drawn wrong. They immediately had another truck come out and performed another video inspection to guarantee the pipes location. After tunneling, the plumbers came out and installed the new pipe. They found that our back bath trap needed to be replaced, called us to approve the work, and replaced it. After the pipe passed code inspection the tunnel was backfilled. The plumber asked me to run the washing machine to ensure the pipes from the garage worked (they were not worked on). After finding that this pipe was clogged they got on our roof and cleaned this additional pipe. With the extra pipe cleaning cost, extra bath trap costs, and extra video inspection cost they were still almost $1,000 below the initial quote (which was competitive with other quotes).
Description of Work: Earl's Plumbing dug a 4x4 hole in my front yard, hydro-tunneled twenty-five feet under my slab, removed and replaced twenty-five feet of our main sewage pipe, installed a new bath trap, and back-filled the tunnel.
