Earls Plumbing and Heating LLC

I have had to use Earl's Plumbing several times. The first instance was in Jan 2010 when there was a hard freeze in South Louisiana and I had pipes break in my attic. I called around to a few other plumbers and they said they could make it out to my house in 2 to 3 weeks. I then called Earl's. Although every plumber in New Orleans was too busy, Earl's Plumbing was at my house in less then 24 hours. Because I have an older Metairie home with old pipes, it took a while to fix all the various ruptures. Earl's constantly reassured my that they would "make things right." I have had to call them several times since then and they ALWAYS do an excellent job and "make things right." I had to use them last March to fix a new tub whose draining linkage wasn't working properly. After fixing that, Larry (the plumber from Earl's) fixed the drainage that wasn't flowing right either. I have found Earl's plumbers to be knowledgeable, friendly and they DON'T talk to you like you're an idiot. Larry was outstanding last time he worked in my bathroom. As long as Earl's Plumbing continues to have the ethos of "we'll make it right" they will ALWAYS be my plumbing solution. I cannot strongly enough recommend these guys--you will not be disappointed in their workmanship. I wish more companies were like Earl's.

Call this company - you WILL NOT BE dissapointed - just STELLAR, PROMPT and PROFESSIONAL service! Called on the 1st needing an unforeseen pipe removed from behind by new appliance....the office staff was incredibly knowledgeable, smart, funny and assuring. They scheduled their team to arrive next day, at at time most convenient for my schedule. They guys arrived promptly on time, professionally dressed, wonderful demeanor, incredibly helpful and polite - amazing experience and wonderful people to work with all the way around. They handled 2 complicated issues and resolved them on the spot with no problem, no delay, worked within all the limitations that a French Quarter home would have and an absolute pleasure to work with! They were one of the easiest companies to deal with, the best price and the most efficient, professional service I have ever experienced...well done and would use exclusively for any and all of our plumbing needs!

I came home from work one night and my whole house was flooded. After the usual call to the insurance company I called Earls early the next morning and was told they were on a call and had one more then would I would be next which was fine since the people were there to take care of the water all over my house. About 15 minutes later Earls called and said their second customer canceled and they would be at my house as soon as they could. They were there within 20 minutes, found the problem within five minutes and repaired the problem which was a hose leading from the wall faucet into my washing machine. The water was shooting straight up into the ceiling then coming down in another area which made the second hole in the ceiling that created the massive hole. (My personal Katrina flood within my house). The total time there was about a half hour. These guys were extremely friendly, caring to my problem and quite professional. Would positively use them again and have recommended them to others. Will be using them again!

I have heard about them for years. I noticed we had a coupon of $20 to $30 off. They were quick and efficient. They did a good job. They came right away. They are very professional. I would use them in the future.

We bought a house and wanted to relocate the existing washer/dryer from the second floor to the garage. This involves capping the existing washer/dryer outlets and create a completely new outlet for washer/dryer in the garage. The new outlet for the washer/dryer involved creating a separate hot and cold water line, drain and creating a dryer dampner through the wall. Additional work involved re-routing the plumbing in the master bathroom so as to create an entrance into the adjacent bedroom as we wanted to convert this into a master closet. We were very nervous of the price tag that might be involved for this project and were ready to drop it if it becomes impractically expensive. Kevin and Nathan inspected the work and gave me a price quote. It was very reasonable, they explained to me what they would do and I felt very comfortable with them. They immediately got to work but found it somewhat more difficult than they expected. They never complained about this. They still went ahead and completed the job as promised. They did a fantastic job. In the end, they respectfully charged me an additional $500 than their original quote. I felt this was very reasonable and made the payment promptly. I would definitely hire them again without any reservations.

The men arrived when they said they would and worked efficiently. They were mannerly and good natured in spite of my 3 golden retrievers bothering them frequently. They happily worked around 3 big dogs who were most curious and wanted to help. The system they installed has made me feel more comfortable and less anxious than having 2 gigantic water heaters in the attic. In fact, Jesse informed me that the spigot of one of them (located right over my bedroom) was a defective spigot and could not be turned off!! They tried to clean everything up, but I told them not to as I enjoy cleaning the house! Both Jesse and the other fellow working with him (didn't get his name) did a wonderful job. Will call for any other plumbing needs.

I find them to be very helpful. They are reasonably priced and cleaned up after themselves. We have used them before...originally found them through Angie's list.

Jesse, the plumber, arrived around 8:00 A.M. and began work immediately. He worked alone and never even stopped for lunch. He was courteous, and seemed to love his work. He was here a bit longer than his boss probably expected because one of the pipes in this old house broke as he installed the toilet. He cleaned up after he finished his tasks, and collected his money. He said when he returned to the office, there might still be more work for him to do - it was around 3:30 P.M. by that time. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

It went great. Earls arranged for leak detecting agency to come out at a cost of $250 & then gave me an estimate for the work to be done. Earls receptionist phoned the morning the plumbers were coming & they were here within 30 minutes. Kevin & Nate were great, explained everything they were going to do & then just did it, no fuss or mess. Professional from start to finish, would definately use them again. The only reason I gave a B for price is that I think I am a little behind the times!

I had a coupon from Angie’s List. I looked them up on Angie’s List and they had good rating and that’s the reason I called them. They guy they sent out was a nice experienced person.

As I mentioned, this is the second time I've called Earl's and they are number one on my list to call for any plumbing related issues. It's never fun when you have a plumbing issue, but the level of customer service you will receive from Earl's including the office and dispatching personnel makes it a little easier making the call.

I had an appt scheduled for 730am. At 750 I had not heard from anyone. I called the office and left a message on voice mail. I received a call back quickly from the office apologizing for the scheduling confusion and was given an estimate when he would arrive. Received call when plumber was on his way. The plumber had a difficult time getting the faucet off of the sink but explained everything as he went along. The original disposal was not hooked up according to code and he fixed this. He cleaned the calcium desposits left behind by the leaky faucet and cleaned the area under the sink where the disposal was leaking. He gave me an estimate before he started which was on target with the cost of the job.

Our air conditioner's primary drain line hadn't been draining for quite some time. Tried several plumbing companies who used compressed air and one who used an auger, but it still wouldn't drain. No one prior was willing to get on the roof to clean out the stack it drains into. So happy to find Earl's. He did have to go back to get a longer ladder, but returned promptly. Got up there even in a light rain! Problem solved. Drain and A/C work now--and at a good price, too. Only one minor complaint: when he opened the line in the attic, a lot of water cascaded down onto the wood floor below. Might have anticipated this and had a bucket and towels ready, but everyone has bad days. Wiped up quickly; no damage.

Earl's Plumbing was a joy to work with from the initial phone call to the signing of the bill. They arrived promptly, asked a series of basic questions and went to work immediately. They were smart, professional, and had a great attitude thoughout the entire service call. They assessed the situation and began testing to determine what the problem was, including running a video cable through the pipes and inviting me to watch the screen with them. The problem ended up being a clogged sewer line backing up out of a cleanout trap that did not have a cap (all of the "contents" of the sewer line was being deposited under my house!). It was definitely a nasty job, but they routed it out and now its working like like a charm. They even whistled while they worked...unbelievable considering the nastiness of the job. I am 110% satisfied - I will only call Earl's in the future and will recommend them to everybody I know... BTW - Roto Rooter had come out about a month earlier to clear the same clog. They probably routed 10' of pipe and charged me $300. Then they didn't honor a $40 coupon my wife gave them, so I had to go to the office to complain. Never use them.

Washing machine drainage came up across drive way from utiltity closet, in the kitchen sink. Lois called in the morning, and the serviceman came that afternoon. He climbed the roof above the kitchen, came down the stack with a snake, cleaned out the pipe to the utility closet. He then had Lois run a wash cycle. NO WATER came up in kitchen! Later that afternoon, Earl's office called to check on customer satisfaction. Lois thought that Earl's was quck to respond, know exactly what to do in a timely way. She also appreciated the call from the office later in the day. Lois's son used Angie's List to find Earl's. The reviews there certainly matched her experience. Thanks!

I am totally happy and totally pleased with them. They are a very large firm. I have been happy with all my dealings. It is a very dreaded job because it is a very dirty job and very expensive. Their pricing is very reasonable. The insurance adjuster also assured us that this is a good firm in their dealings with them. They show up between 7-7:30 am.

I used them from Angie's List. The job went very well. They showed excellent professionalism. They were very prompt and very professional. They did a good job and they were reasonably priced. We are having another plumbing problem now and they are scheduled to come back tomorrow for something else.

Showed up within an hour and a half from phone call. Very courteous. Cleaned drain from vent on roof. Cleaned up and departed.

I cannot say enough about the service that I got. I live out of town and scheduled them to come and give an estimate before I left for New Orleans. They arrived on the date and about 5 minutes early. The estimate was very reasonable and we gave them the job.Then job was done, as promised, within my deadline. Their work was good and without problems. They picked up after they were finished. The scheduling, repair, and service was painless, efficient, and courteous. They took the worry out of having a deadline to meet with their honest and prompt service.Sheryl M.

Kitchen sink started draining slow. We tried Liquid Plumber with no results, so my husband decided to take the pipes apart. VERY cruddy with calcium/lime buildup and usual kitchen gunk. Unfortunately, he broke/cracked some pipes and had to go buy new ones, and then couldn't get them to go back on without major leaking. Plus, the sink was still draining slow. Called Earl's, they were booked for the day but agreed to fit us in. Plumber showed up, snaked the drain line and then set about replacing pipes. He and my husband decided that the PVC (?) pipes would fit better, so he installed new pipes beneath the sink. He was in a bit of a rush because he had another appointment, and at least twice said the job was done but my husband pointed out where it was still leaking - that was disappointing. Probably because I haven't had to use a plumber in years, but I did feel the price was a bit high ($290 before the coupon) but I might be unrealistic about that. The plumber was professional and friendly, just a bit rushed. But I AM grateful they squeezed us in!

Extremely prompt service. Two hours from my first call, they had come and gone and everything was working perfectly again. They were very courteous and very professional. I would definately recommend this company.

Water Heater was leaking and warranty company sent someone out Monday afternoon even though I called the emergency service in on Saturday night. Service tech showed up without a water heater to diagnose problem and said would get back to me after the warranty company approved and ordered new water heater, which wouldn't be until at least the next afternoon. Very frustrated I called Earl's at 3:00pm on Monday. They said they couldn't make any promises that late in the day, but the office called back at around 3:30p and said someone could do the install that day and a service tech, Kevin, called at 3:50p said he was in route to pick up a water heater. He and Nathan arrived around 4:15p and installed the water heater. Previous water heater did not have a drain pan or drain line, which Kevin and Nathan installed. They were finished around 6:15p (staying well past their normal hours to assist me and my family). After a couple of days with no hot water, my two kids could finally take a bath at home. Everyone I dealt with were complete professionals both the office and service techs. Kevin and Nathan's work was done well and very clean. I will have to come out of pocket for a lot of the installation, as my warranty company will not pay 100% for someone else to do the work. However, it was worth it to get a decent brand of water heater (Rheem) and make a plumbing contact, which I previously did not have. I don't look forward to more plumbing issues, but Earl's will be the first company that I call if I have any.
