On September 16, 2017 I suffered pretty extensive water damage to my home due to a washing machine failure. After doing some research online I realized it would probably be a good idea to hire someone that I knew would be in MY court. I have to admit it was pure luck that I called CCC first. Boy, am I GLAD that I did!! After talking to Anthony for not too many minutes I felt like he knew his stuff. Not only did he know it, but he is also big on educating homeowners on how insurance claims work, something I was woefully naive about. He was very clear in communicating to me what documents I would be needing and, very importantly, HOW to talk to the insurance adjusters. Even though Anthony was really busy dealing with damages caused by recent hurricanes, he had his people out to my house practically before I could blink! They were THOROUGH, taking a large amount of pictures of damage that I had not even thought to look for, and setting up equipment to dry my house out. There was a LOT of equipment and it was NOISY, but I was confident that they were covering all the bases. He carefully reviewed and formed his own estimate of the damages. Then the real fun began! My insurance company came up with an estimate that was terribly inadequate. From the moment he estimated the damages, HE did all the talking to and negotiating with the insurance company. That was a really good thing because for every one thing I knew nothing about, he knew four things! I naively thought this process would be fairly quick and simple. HA! He cautioned me that sometimes insurance companies could be pretty stubborn about NOT paying out my claim for enough to effect the repairs. He carefully explained to me how the process of negotiating worked and advised patience. So, I was patient. For over a year. In the end, even after paying Anthony's remediation fees, I walked away with about twice what the insurance company wanted to pay me. At the very end of reaching an agreement, the insurance company offered a "just make her go away" offer. While my claim was probably worth more, especially with all the delaying tactics the insurance company came up with, the insurance adjuster admitted that I could get more, but they would hold me up in court for 2+ years. After a long phone conversation, Anthony and I decided together that waiting two years for the funds to repair my home was simply not worth the extra funds. Anthony's assistant, Jessica, stayed on top of things and was also great to work with. The ONLY complaint I MIGHT have was that it was sometimes hard to get a return call. I do believe that two things contributed to that - with the recent hurricanes they were BUSY, and I probably required a bit more "hand holding" than usual! When I did get that return call, it was very obvious that I had not been placed on some back burner. They were CLEARLY staying on top of the situation and fighting for MY best interests. Not that I ever want to go through such a mess again, but IF something should happen in the future my first call will be to Anthony. I would urge anyone who finds themselves in a similar predicament to go with this company. I'm certain they will not regret it!
