Augustino Brothers

Description of Work: In 2011 there was a hail storm that damaged our roof. After meeting a number of companies we choose to go with Augustino Brothers which was owned at the time by Chris Perdomo. We met Chris personally along with his "right hand man" Dean. They seemed like good guys and had all the proper credentials. However as the job progressed there was clearly something going wrong behind the scenes at the Augustino Brothers camp. We recommended many of our neighbors to them but the ones that choose not to use their services were harassed by Dean. He did not take "no" so well. Anyway, the roof went on without a hitch except for the fact that they quoted me all Owens Corning products then when the products were delivered the ridge vents were a "cheaper quality". When I pointed that out they promptly corrected the issue. However, had I not been home the cheaper quality material would have been used.

Description of Work: Augustino Brothers installed a metal roof. They were recommended by a friend after she and I both had a terrivle experience with a roofer called Steve Gammon who stole our money.

Description of Work: Had to have entire roof replaced (about 58 squares) after bout with Gustav...having survived Katrina with a few lost shingles. Just joined Angie's list and wanted to share my experience with this company.

Description of Work: Chris Perdomo , the company owner, provided a detailed estimate to repair my slate roof and replace an asphalt roof over my front porch. While he comes across as a professional, don't trust him! There were four main areas where the roof leaked, one was in my son's bedroom ceiling. After the work was completed, my roof continued to leak in three or the four spots when we had a heavy rains. Consequently, the ceiling that had been repaired in my son's room was damaged again. I have had this roofing crew out four times since the work was done last November, and they haven't fixed the problems the were initially identified when Chris made the bid on this work. I finally had to hire an independent roofer to remove the slate over my back porch and replace it with an asphalt shingle roof. This cost me an additional $500. This roofer inspected the back porch roof and reported that the galvanized flashing had not been replaced and he could not identify any slate replacement. This work was the work that was required to be done to fix the leak and it was outlined in the contract. Worst of all, I paid for it but it wasn't done. Chris now wants to charge me an additional $1500 to repair the slate and replace the rear gable metal valley over the roof. His roofing super Craig concedes that the work was sub-standard and that the rusting valley should have been replaced when the Ice & Water Shield was installed and while the slate was removed. The three leaks that CHRIS agreed to fix were the front porch, (that work seems to have been done satisfactorily) the back porch (still leaks) and the valley above my son’s room. (still really leaks) DON'T USE THIS COMPANY, THE WORK WAS SUBSTANDARD AND THE LABORS UNSUPERVISED.

Description of Work: Replaced existing roof in Aug., 2005 on my home in Luling. Roof covered approx. 3000 sq. ft. Additionally, were to remove gutters for whole house.
