Spectrum Renovations

Jason did an amazing job on our master bathroom renovation. Outstanding craftsmanship on everything, and in our case that included shiplap walls, custom shelving , very large custom shower, new ceiling, and all the trim and paint. Added bonus - extremely considerate of wife, children, and dogs (even fixed a broken glass figurine for our daughter). Can't say enough good things about Jason and his work.

It all went very well. I was able to schedule an estimate right away. Jason was able to meet with me a day after I requested an estimate. After I explained the work I wanted to be done, he went through each job and explained how he would do the work and why he felt the problem occurred to begin with, so we could prevent it from happening again. He provided me with a detailed estimate as soon as possible, and communicated with me each step of the way. When it turned out that the concrete step at our back entry had been fhe cause of one of our major problems, he let me know what was wrong and how it could be fixed. He never did anything outside our agreed upon work without talking it over with me first to ensure it was how I wanted to proceded. He was very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. He was able to complete all of the work in a very reasonable time frame, and we are very happy with the work.

This was a complete renovation which included removing wallpaper and a "popcorn" textured ceiling; repairing and replacing damaged sheet rock then painting the walls, ceiling,and trim; removing old and installing new fixtures (tub and surround, toilet, lights, vanity and sink); tiling the floor and the walls around the tub. The work took longer to complete than we'd anticipated but this was understandable since Jason did all the work by himself. He's very conscientious (paid attention to details, put in extra time to make sure the job was done right) and trustworthy. Jason always let us know when he would be coming, showed up when he said he would, and let us know if he needed to change the work schedule. We're very pleased with the quality of Jason's work and will definitely consider using him again.

I first contacted Jason on August 20. After a month went buy and I didn't hear from him, I sent a message asking if he was still in business. He responded the next day. He said he was very busy. He came to see my project September 25 and gave me an estimate the next day. It was a much lower price than other contractors had quoted me. He started September 30. It went very well. It took him four days. One of the days he worked from 9:30 to 7pm. He did everything by himself. He had to leave to get supplies twice, during a lunch break. Since my existing Formica backsplash was still intact, he had to research what would adhere to it. He was confident that it would last. I'm happy with the results and relieved that my remodel is over......Thank you Jason for your hard work.

Jason came out and gave us an estimate in June. The work was to be done in 2 phases. The first phase involved putting stops on the kitchen drawers and replacing all of the hardware. Jason called and texted me daily to let me know what time to expect him on days that work was planned. He arrived on time and cleaned all of his stuff before leaving at the end of the day. He also tiled around the fireplace. He stained the wainscoting and brought samples of the colors for us to choose the one that we wanted. For the second phase he was to install a kitchen sink, but was unable to do the plumbing, and we had to get a plumber to install the pipes. He finished the tile in the kitchen and installed a new range hood. We are very satisfied with him and the quality of his work. He's also a nice guy.

I emailed Jason through Angie's List. He was busy on a job but responded immediately. When he arrived at my home he was extremely informative, educated and aware of the entire process the project would entail. He submitted a bit within 24 hours and I hired him. When he arrived to the job he worked efficiently and quickly to resolve the leaking bathroom. When he demo'ed the existing structure there was never a mess, or any type of uncleanliness at all. He was extremely professional going up and down the stairs carrying the debris that could have scratched my wood flooring but didn't. He removed the toilet, and the bathtub without any harm to surrounding areas or wall. His work is remarkably level, accurate, clean and pristine. When he was finished he did other small minor issues around the house as they became needed. He repaired the sheetrock in my living room (where the leak traveled) without a seem or difference and without having to redo the entire ceiling. He repaired the bedroom sheetrock that had some damage and then within a week he left and moved on to another job. I cannot tell you what an awesome experience it has been in words. To know you can trust someone to adhere to their word (estimate) to do a clean and professional job to the extent he did. He has earned every single one of his 5 STARS from this very satisfied woman. The bathroom tile and flooring looks so good that I keep starring at it. I will continue to use Spectrum Reno time and time again because I understand the difference between a company who charges less and does a poor job verses having someone you can trust in your home to do the job correctly. THe renovation went exceedingly well. It was done in the estimated time frame, was within budget, and done exceedingly professionally. In addition it was not an easy project. The project included some reframing and waterproofing walls and floor,installing new tub, installing complicated dual shower plumbing fixtures, new wall hung vanity, and all new travertine tile. In addition it encompassed installing a new toilet and new bathroom fixtures, and removing old outdated wall plaster and refloating and painting the walls and ceiling. Spectrum Renovation provided the best contracting services we have ever used for our house and will be the only contractor we ever use again.

Jason was very punctual, courteous, and professional. He did great work at a fair price. I could not be more pleased and will definitely use him again in the future!

They're awesome. I thought it was very reasonable. It was around $3000 to $4000. They're fabulous. They were very professional. They gave me a quote. It took them a lot longer than the expected. They run into more difficulties than they expected. They stayed with the quote because that's what they quoted me. They were really great. I would definitely call them again. He was just one of the most kind and trustworthy and dependable people I've ever worked with.

He was very meticulous. He used a sander with a vacuum attached which minimized the dust in the house. He then laid out the tile first and did all the cutting of the tile until he had the entire floor covered. Only then did he lay the grout and cement the tiles in place. He replaced the floor molding and a toilet which had to be removed to tile a bathroom. When he left, the work area was clean. When he did our job, he worked alone a lot, bringing in a helper at times. Both guys were very friendly and courteous. The quality of work was very good, but not perfect. We would use him again.

Jason and his team performed the scope of work in a most professional manner. He was able to foresee and mitigate a few problems and apply some of his unique solutions to the potential complications with aplomb and cool efficiency. There was never a doubt in our minds and in Jason's mind that the outcome of the job would be anything short of perfect. Jason and his crew stayed on the job the entire time, provided regular updates to our family so we could adapt to the work being done and, in all, the end results are excellent examples of craftsmanship and commitment to excellence. There was never any disagreement on work scope or costs. In brief, I would highly recommend Jason and Spectrum Renovations.

Spectrum was recommended to me by a friend who had some damaged drywall replaced in his house. I've had three roof leaks develop above my covered patio, and needed some minor repairs (on three separate occasions and in three different areas of the patio roof). I used Spectrum each time for the repair. Jason has always responded to my phone or email messages within 24 hours, and has always come out to look over the problem, and has given an estimate (which he adheres to) prior to doing the work. He shows up on time, calls before coming to the house, does the work professionally and correctly, and cleans up the work area thoroughly before leaving. In addition to fixing the roof during the last visit, I had Jason install three cabinets in each of our main bathrooms. No question, he does good work, and is reasonable in his prices.

Jason is a really good worker. He did a very going job on the painting. I was really impressed with how polite and how clean-cut he was. I would recommend him.

I was given a free estimate, and the work entailed probably more than he bargained for, but he stuck by his estimate and completed everything for the price quoted. Honest and dependable!

Jason was very quick to respond. Listen to what I wanted and came back with several option I did not even know about. He always showed up when he said he would and finished the job on time and budget. I even asked him for a few other things and it was no problem... handled very timely and for a reasonable rate. I recommend him highly.

The work performed was outstanding. The existing front door had been a problem since we moved into the house in 1995. The original door installation permitted water to seep into the house. The door was replaced by some else in 1998. The seepage was greatly reduced, but we later found that water was trapped. This resulted in rotting of the door frame and threshold. Jason who owns Spectrum Renovations recognized the problems and ensured that the door opening including the concrete floor was level. He also selected a door with a threshold and frame that was not prone to rotting. The door installation was excellent, and the work was very professional. We have had several heavy rains since the door installation, and the seepage has been totally eliminated. Water is no longer being trapped. It is great to see dry grout against the door threshold. Because of Jason's diligence and carpentry acumen, this long standing problem has been eliminated. Jason takes the time to ensure the work is performed correctly and does not cut corners. All of the other work was excellent. Priming and painting of the replacement boards and door was included and this was done in a professional manner.
