+ -1 moreThey replaced the hard drive and the computer worked fine. This one of the more expensive services they perform. Subsequently, i found out that for nearly all repairs they performed, the recommendation was to replace the hard drive.
Description of Work: computer did not load Windows.

+ -1 moreHad the business computer as well as my home computer “die” within 3 weeks of each other. They came to office location and helped us set up new computer and interface it with new printer/fax/and copy machine. They went beyond what was expected. Very knowledgeable.
Description of Work: Used them 3 times for personal and company help in our office and for computer problem at home. Have used them in years past also.

+ -1 moreThe staff was very responsive. The computer came back to me operational and no problems noted-- but this is a much longer story that I will write here. Not enought room and would bore you to death with details you do not need. Long story shortened---Had the computer in to Best Buy 5 times since January with varying degree of sucess. Some times it would work a few days before something fatal would happen and sometimes it didn't work at all when it arrived home. Decided to try someone else. NEXT- I restored the operating system to the original state at time of purchase and had not even started installing all my programs when it started the blue screen of death stuff again. I Called Computer solutions and they picked it up. Kept it over a weekend and maybe a couple more days. Called to say it was ready. Updated a video driver and java or something + put a virus software. (the machine was 1 1/2 years old so it did not have the current versions it had before It started crashing) since i had just reinstalled the operating system a couple days before. Brought it home and removed their virus software. Installed my Virus software and tried to install my HP network printer drivers when it started locking completely again. Only way to shut it down is to pull the battery on the laptop. This happened multiple timesso I finally just GAVE UP> Summary-- they had it working when it left the shop---it still does me no good as whatever is causing these problems is still affecting this machine(not Computer Solutions fault probably)--- and not my 7 other machines on the same network/printer/virus software etc. What the heck???? That part I do not understand at all. Fact-- they fixed what they found wrong Fact-- it is still unusable and i don't know why. I HATE COMPUTERS. WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM MAKING LIFE EASIER?? Anyone interested in a ASUS G74? I am intested in selling it. It was purchased new in February 2012. NOTE- I drove over to pick up the machine. Suggest you get detailed instructions before driving over. My GPS kept trying to take me over the Causeway to New Orleans. We also forgot my my power cord. Computer Solutions delivered it to me and i live about 30 miles away. Couldn't ask for more than that. Tech also gave me a ton of good information about computers and visited with me for a while. Thanks Jim

+ 0 moreMark tried various changes, including a new router. When it still didn't work, he tried it using his computer with both the old & new router. At that point, he felt it was the modem. He talked to Charter and got them to agree to install a new modem the next day. That solved the problem.
Description of Work: I was unable to connect to the internet through my wireless router without being hardwired.

Description of Work: My computer would not start. I took it in to computer troubleshooters. They diagnosed it quickly as a defective power supply issue. It took a couple of days to get it back because they were busy. Overall, excellent experience. My computer is still running well. Computer Troubleshooters did a great job and I will enthusiastically recommend them to others as well as use them myself for any future computer issues.

+ -1 moreSuper convenient and fast service. For a flat fee, they accessed the personal data (pictures, music, etc) off of my old laptop which was pretty dead and then transferred it to my new laptop. They were very upfront about price, what the services would entail and were super quick.

Description of Work: This is a followup to my review of 7/2/2012. After running the computer for a few hours, a second problem occurred, the computer kept shutting down. This is my daughter's computer and she told me that she had been having this problem frequently but failed to inform me earlier when the computer died and the power supply was replaced. The shop tech asked for me to leave the computer with them for a couple of days so they could have time to fully explore the problem. On the second day they called and told me that we had a corrupted file, which they repaired. I was told that since the first repair was still under warranty there would be no charge. I am shocked at such good service in a business today. They stand behind their work.

Description of Work: Dropped off computer for diagnosis at noon. Received a call with the estimate in less than an hour. Picked up the computer an hour later. Office staff was pleasant and efficient. Repair staff was concise with diagnosis, explaining why a repair done by another shop previously did not last and why this repair would solve the problems. I have been in the computer business since 1958 and this is a quality shop. I will use them again if I am unlucky enough to need them.
