Mrs. Cindi is a fantastic realtor. She was very knowledgeable about the area and was able to show us a few house that had not "officially"hit the market yet. She made the whole process a breeze. Thanks Cindi!

Cindi Raymond is absolutely fabulous! We were going to purchase a second home and weren't really sure exactly what we were looking for. After 16 months, we finally bought a house. We were tough on Cindi. When you don't actually HAVE to buy a house, you are much pickier. And to give credit to Cindi, the house we purchased was NOT what we initially told her we wanted. It probably took that long for us to figure out what was most important to us. Cindi was patient, totally professional, super-responsive and always happy to talk with us or answer an email. Once we finally found the house (actually we bid on three, but that's another story), Cindi helped shepherd the process along until final closing date. She even recommended a great manicurist for me! We could not have had a better experience.
Description of Work: We were purchasing a house in Mandeville and the agent served as our buyer's agent.

Extremely well. We are very pleased. The old house required some prep work. Phoebe gave excellent advice on just what steps we needed to take to mark the house ready. She also coached us well in terms of getting an effective sales price/ appraised value. We set the price with her help and sold the property for exactly what we asked. Moreover, she coached us in terms of expectations for how long the selling process might take. Again, she was spot on in setting our expectations and advising us as to what we should expect in the process. She took the mystery out of the process very effectively. Phoebe Weldon also served as our buying agent to purchase a new home. Again, her counsel was very helpful and she guided us through the negotiation process seamlessly. We feel that we paid the correct price for the home and accomplished the process with a minimum of time and procedure. This was a good experience for us. We are grateful for her help.
Description of Work: Phoebe Weldon was our agent both for selling our old house (Mandeville) and purchasing a new house (Covington) . She handled every aspect of both transactions for us. We are very pleased.

Very bad experience. Through the whole process of buying the house we were told, and asked them/verified quite a few times that the only appliance that was to go at the time of selling was the fridge (along with the flat screen TV and the sound system) which was specified in the contract. My wife asked our agent point-blank during a walk through of the house that the washer/dryer were staying to which she said yes. The day of the closing, the selling agent told us they had left a $100 TV bracket in the house. We didn't really care that they were leaving a bracket as we don't have a flat screen anyway. After the closing that night my wife and I went to the house to check things out. The sellers moving truck was in front of the house and a few small things outside we figured they were coming over to retrieve in a bit. We found to our surprise in the house that the TV bracket had been removed and several sizeable holes in the wall in their place. We also found the washer and dryer were gone! We furiously made phone calls and couldn't get our agent on the phone (not uncommon during the whole buying phase we found). The seller came by at that time to pick up his stuff outside and the moving truck. He had no knowledge the washer and dryer were staying. He called his agent and I spoke to him on the phone. The selling agent sounded like a used car salesman all of a sudden and started to explain to me how that was a 'moveable' item. I told him this was never made clear to us and it didn't say anything about this in the contract. He said the fridge had been specified as it was a non-moveable item. I asked, if a fridge has water lines hooked up to it, plugged into the wall, and custom cabinets built around--is it any more or less moveable than a washer and dryer with water lines hooked up to them, power cords, and custom cabinets built around those? I didn't get anywhere with him so I told him I'd call Carol again. The next day she called back. Between Carol (our agent-buyer), Alan (seller agent), and their boss, they all told us the same thing with an attitude that we should've known this was a moveable item, and that's just a 'thing' down here. I've since passed on the contract and my story to the relocation company handling the whole moving process and who is investigating this now and said my wife and I are NOT in the wrong. I feel like I've bought a car and the spare tire is missing and the dealership is now saying, "oh well, that wasn't in the contract." Had we known this we would've negotiated in the price of the house the $1000-1500 to now buy a washer/dryer, which we did negotiate with the fridge because we KNEW it was going. To their credit, they have sent someone out to fix the holes in the wall, but it has taken over a week so far to complete.
Description of Work: We bought a home through Coldwell Banker Beau Chene, it turned out our agent who worked for us and the listing seller of the home we ultimately bought coincidentally both worked for the same agency in Mandeville. Our agent was Carol Lemmond, the seller's was Alan Endermann, and yes they knew each other.

Response from Coldwell Banker TEC Realtors
The Member's concerns should be focused on his representative in this particular real estate transaction, namely, his buyer's agent. My role, as the listing agent, was to "protect the fiduciary rights" of the seller which was conducted admirably. I understand the Member's misinterpretation of "movables" as defined in the State of Louisiana but any concern or questions he may have had was to be directed to his buyer's agent. The listing contract for the property which was purchased by the Member clearly stated that the refrigerator, washer and dryer were EXCLUDED from the purchase (and if I may add as an observation of my own past experience of buyer's expectations concerning the appliances which were in question rarely are thought to be included in the sale of real estate unless separately negotiated). Although concerned with all parties satisfaction in every real estate transaction I am involved with the fact remains that my responsibility was to the SELLER and as you have read from the Member's account of his experience I did my job exceptionally well! A fair evaluation of my performance in this real estate transaction could only be gained by soliciting comments from the party who I represented,,, the SELLER. If repeat business is any indication of past successful performance the seller in the Member's real estate transaction has since purchased a new home and (this time) I acted as buyer's agent to yet another successful closing. Lastly, although no mention had been made in the Member's comments, a cash concession was given to the buyer (post act of sale) as a matter of "good will" on the part of my Broker and the "Franchise Brand" to help "appease" a valuable client.
