Mr. Oborn knew right away what the problem was. Our water heater wasn't properly installed and most of the main breakers weren't properly wired. He let us know ahead of time how long it would take and how much he would charge. The initial consultation/evaluation of the problem cost us nothing. He came to our house the same day I called. He got everything fixed and good to go. I definitely recommend his services.
Description of Work: He rewired a tankless, electric water heater and all of the breakers in the main breaker box.

We decided to remodel the kitchen but the panel box was in the kitchen wall behind the microwave and they had "cut" it in half so part of it was above the microwave in a "cabinet" and the main box was exposed behind the microwave shelf. We were not able to run the microwave and toaster oven at the same time without tripping a breaker. I called Mr Oborn to see about getting an estimate to move the panel box to the laundry room and possibly move my range and refrigerator to a different location. Within two days he came to the house and did an inspection, asked us what we would like to change and gave us a quote. He explained the process to us and that he would limit the time we would be without electricity by getting all the lines run prior to the electric company cutting the power. We discussed burying the main cable to the house which would be an extra $1000 but we decided it was well worth it for the amount of times our power goes out here. We signed the contract with him and paid half the estimate and the rest due at job completion. He contacted the electric company about burying the main line only to be told that was not authorized to be done here. He called immediately and let me know that and that it would remove $1000 off the bill. He was very willing to work around our work schedule and even came out on the weekends since that was better for us. Since the cable wasn't able to be buried he asked us to think about any additional outlets, etc we may want to add. We actually had some additional light switches we wanted to turn on from 2 different switches and ran new hallway lights. Our bill ended up being less than the quote given. It went very well, he (Rich) is a very professional, respectful gentleman, if something happened and he was going to be late or could not make it he called right away and apologized and arranged his schedule to suit our needs. He found numerous code violations and fire hazards and explained all of those to me, the scariest being my dryer cable within the wall had been "taped" to an extension cord and run back to the box. We were blessed to not have a fire prior to this. He updated everything to code and would not consider otherwise. I definitely will use him again and recommend him to anyone who is in need of electrical service weather a large project or just a small one. I feel much safer now and don't worry about a possible electrical fire anymore. I can run several appliances in the kitchen at one time without any problem now.
Description of Work: We had our house completely rewired. He moved the panel box to a better location, ran new wire, changed the location of my range outlet so I could remodel the kitchen and had the main power from the electric company moved and an additional pole placed outside to limit the sagging and pull on the main line.
