Wiggins was hired by my contractor, Pellerin Brothers Construction to refinish my wood floors. They completed the work on August 26,2009. Drywall mud was sealed into the floor, after I was told that it would be removed before sealing. Across the width of each room, about 3-6 inches from the baseboards, there is a difference in color and texture from the rest of the room. There are lines in the floor from the sandpaper, which should have been changed after hitting something in the floor, probably a nail. Mr. Robert Wiggins was given an opportunity to explain and correct the problems with the floor on September 2,2009. He stated that the floor was old and even if he "sanded down to the tongue and groove", the floor would come out the same way. He offered to sand one room to prove this statement. I told him that wouldn't fix the problem, if it would end up the same way. He did not believe that the drywall was sealed into the floor. He took out a very large knife and dug into my floor where the drywall was located. I asked him to stop politely, but he continued digging into the floor with his knife. He stated that he was doing floors before I was born and that I should go into the floor business. Jeff Pellerin of Pellerin Brother's seemed to agree with Mr. Wiggins that the floor was acceptable, when it clearly was extremely poor workmanship. I phoned other flooring professionals to find out what had happened with my floor and how to fix it, as Mr. Wiggins offered no solution. The floors need to be sanded and refinished to correct the problems. The cost of this will be $2300.00.

I'm very pleased with how the floors turned out. They were very professional. They advertise "Dust-Free" but there was plenty of dust. The owner returned my call promptly and came out the next day to give me an estimate. There were able to schedule the job about 3 weeks out, although they did call a few times to see if I wanted them to begin earlier because they had a couple of cancellations. There was some dust left, but no more than I would expect. However they do advertise that the job will be dust-less. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied. My floors look incredible.
