Tyler started by running a camera thru my plumbing to find the problem. He found roots back up in my drain, he removed them and everything is working wonderfully once again! He then stayed a while checking to make sure all was well. Very professional curteous, efficient. I am extremely pleased with the service they provided!
Description of Work: A young man named Tyler showed up promptly and after talking to me for about five minutes to assess the problem I was have he set to work. In a bit under an hour he had fixed my problem perfectly! These guys rock. Fast, efficent curteous, what more could you ask for? I very highly recommend them and will definitely use them for any plumbing needs!

We were very unhappy with the quality of service we received from Prejean & Sons, who were contracted through the Lowe's store in Lafayette. First, we had them remove our old bathtub along with the plastic wall surround. When they removed the wall surround, which had been glued onto the drywall by the previous plumber, they ripped out the drywall along with it. I understand that this may have been beyond their control, but instead of letting us know this occurred, they then installed the new surround by screwing it directly onto the exposed 2x4's and left big holes in the walls. Along with the drywall went the insulation in the walls as well. Our home is an older home, and in the main bathtub wall there is a window that had been covered by this now missing insulation and drywall. When we got home the day this happened, the sun was beginning to set and we could see the sunlight shining through the plastic surround since there is nothing now between the plastic and the window. You can press on the plastic and it gives. You can imagine how chilly winter showers will be. We had a carpenter that had to come in and install new drywall, and he was equally frustrated with their work. The caulking they applied between the tub and surround cracked and we had to personally recaulk it, even though we waited 36 hours to use the tub when they instructed us to wait 24 hours to allow the caulk to cure. The plumbers also told us this would be a very quick job, requiring a day or two of work. It took 3 1/2 weeks because of their scheduling conflicts. During this timeframe, the plumber told us he would come on a Saturday morning to work on the bathroom. We cancelled our out-of-town plans to stay home for him. When he hadn't shown up within half an hour of his scheduled time we called. He said he was working on another job and wouldn't be coming. So, we cancelled our weekend plans, only to never be notified that his plans changed and that he would never be coming that day. Also, keep in mind that this is the only bathroom in our house, so not having a fully usable bathroom for this long was getting very annoying. We called Lowe's and complained about the no-show. The final straw was that when they installed two cabinet/shelving units, they "misplaced" the shelves and the metal brackets that held the shelves up. We had to go to Lowe's and tell them about it, where they opened the boxes for two other units and gave us the shelves and brackets out of those for us to install ourselves. To add insult to injury, the plumbers used two of our towels (one washcloth and one full-size brand new bath towel) to wipe their hands with, leaving caulk on them and ruining them. We have never been so unhappy and stunned by a lack of professionalism and basic pride in workmanship. I feel like I could have done a better job myself.
Description of Work: Removed old bathtub and surround, installed new bathtub and surround. Also installed two wall cabinets.

Shannon did the work. He showed up on time and did a professional job. As it turned out, the location that I told him to place one of the diverter valves was in the way so I called him back to move it up a foot or so. He came the next day and moved it for a very reasonable price.
Description of Work: Installed plumbing and hardware for 2 showers which includes 2 shower heads in each shower and separate water and diverter valves. Also repositioned drain in one of the showers.

The sprayer at my kitchen sink broke. I purchased a new faucet set for my kitchen sink and called Prejean's to have it installed. The details are fuzzy now, but I do remember they showed up late for the appointment. I am currently in school and so timing is important to me. The installer showed up and I had everything I needed or so I thought. The installer informed me that I needed to replace the plastic hoses under the sink. Ok... The installer arrived at 9:35 am and left at 9:47 am. The installer went back to his truck, wrote out the invoice, and had his helper bring it back in to me. I looked at the invoice and saw that he had marked his time in at 9:35 am and time out at 10:35 am. In addition, he charged $24.00 for 'Parts'. This was for the hoses he informed me that I needed to replace. AND, there was a $5.00 fuel charge! I have never experienced this before. There business can't be 10 to 15 minutes from my home. The total bill was $118.00 for literally 12 minutes of work. I expected to pay the $89.00 labor charge. No big deal. What upset me was that he was writing out the work order to say he was at my house for an hour. If I owned that company I would want an accurate time to reflect where my employees are. I absolutely owed $89.00 because that is there service charge. I was upset about the discrepancy in the time. The parts charge for $24.00 appeared to be high, so I checked at the Stines down the street and found the same material for less. After the installer left, I realized he had not left me the old hoses. As a long time home/car owner, I know to always ask for my old/defective part back if it is being replaced. My experience with plumbers has always been that I saw the defective part. This sent up a red flag. I checked my records and discovered a receipt from a competing company, before I subscribed to Angie's List. On 5/4/09 we replaced the entire disposal system. We purchased the disposal and faucet and they installed new hoses. The material charge for the hoses was $8.50. I truly believe the hoses did not need to be replaced at all. Most important however, was the technician's overall demeanor, attitude, and treatment of his helper. The installer ordered his helper around in a very derogatory manner and raised his voice at him. All of this made me very uncomfortable and I felt very bad for the helper. In addition, he sent the helper in with the invoice. When began to inquire about the time discrepancy and fuel charge he clearly could not understand what I was asking about so I asked him to go and get the installer who was sitting in his truck. The technician was quite upset when I questioned the time and did not appreciate my asking him to correct it. He also said that his company always charges for fuel use of their vehicles. Well, now I know better. I was going to stop by Prejean's and let them know what happened, but I truly was apprehensive knowing that the installer might get angry and he knew where I lived.

They were wonderful. The plumber came in and did a great job. He was very nice. He explained everything that he was doing and told us what we needed to do. His price was very reasonable. We didn?t encounter any problem at all. We are in talks with him about doing the plumbing on our new house. He is helping us out a lot.
Description of Work: We have an old house, so we have used Prejean & Sons Plumbing for various stuff 6-7 times. They fixed several leaks for us including in the fall and the spring. They also replaced a hot water heater for us in the past.

I ended up having to work the day that they came. The day I had scheduled them for, they didn't call or show up, so I ended up calling them. Evidently, the plumber was sick and they were supposed to call. She seemed surprised that no-one called us. They ended up doing the job when my husband was here and he said they did a fine job.
Description of Work: I have a toilet that has leaked for years. We had changed the seal and it still leaked. He came out and changed the flange and now it doesn't leak!

The job went very smoothly. Shannon arrived when he had promised, calling first as I had asked him to do. From the minute Shannon walked in I knew that he knew what he was doing. He did a clean job, picking up all waste and trash and left the house looking just as it did when he walked in. He had to leave for a about an hour to go get more supplies because the job outside the house was bigger than he expected, but when he wrote up the bill, I was not charged for the time he was away getting supplies. My bill was very reasonable for the amount of work done and I will definitely use this company again when I need plumbing work.
Description of Work: Shannon hooked up my ice maker, which involved tapping into the water supply under my sink and running the line to the refrigerator. He also changed out the stems, washers and springs on my jacuzzi tub. He changed the outside faucet and cut off valve near the house which involved digging up the existing pipe, removing it and replacing it with new pipes.
