Someone was on site within a day to work on the quote and by the end of the following week, we had the entire exterior of our building repainted. The work was perfect, and the actual cost of the job ended up being lower than initially quoted. WILL 100% HIRE AGAIN.

+ -1 moreI got bids from only two painters. JMA was recommended here on Angie's List, while another painter was recommended from a friend who is a building contractor in the Lafayette area. JMA's price was approximately $600 lower than the other bid. We haven't moved into the house yet, so timing wasn't critical, but JMA's team started the job promptly and finished in less than a week. Jason stayed in touch with me via email throughout the entire process. My wife went to Lafayette the following weekend to pay for the work. I joined her the next day and noticed a couple of walls in two closets were not painted and one small wall in a bathroom was not finished. I contacted Jason and informed him of the incomplete work. Even though we had already paid for the work, his team was back the following week and completed the job. I would highly recommend JMA Painters.

Description of Work: I did not actually contract with JMA painters. Howewver, I tried to get a contract with them. They don't contact you again when they get an estimate. I had to call three times and wait a long time without an email to get an estimate. When I finally talked to them, they tracked my estimate by my first initial and last name. There are many in this town with that same set of initials and names. They didn't track by address. When he gave me the estimate, it was very expensive (extraordinarily high). We talked some time if this could really be the cost and at the end of the conversation, he revealed that he does no job at less than $5,000. My estimate was twice that. Wow! But he has good ratings and is a licensed contractor. I suppose if you want the best and can pay for it, you can call JMA; but be sure to get an estimate, make sure its really for you house and don't get to anxious for a return call.

+ -1 moreHe showed up within a couple hours of my initial phone call. He was neatly dressed and very polite. He took the appropriate notes and measurements. However, the quote was higher then others we received. They were by far the most professional, but we ended up not working with them. In hindsight, we wish we would have worked with JMA.
Description of Work: I contacted him for an estimate for interior painting work. We had a small kitchen fire we were attempting to clean up.
