I did a very good job of expressing my desire to find a local company here in Lafayette to be supportive of a person in-charge who is willing to pay for him to drive all the way to Baton Rouge to pick up my furniture would normally you hire someone from Baton Rouge to move you to Lafayette. But he promised that he had a truck and if necessary he would bring a second truck and then he said he was going to go ahead and send two trucks because I sent him pictures of my furniture and told him how concerned I was and wanted to make sure that my furniture was well taken care of and he continued to assure me that everything was fine. The day of the move instead of the two trucks showing up the front door, two large horse trailer showed up. The mover guys were so nice and so sweet, and they were young college students trying to make a living and said they will take good care of my furniture and all. They scratched up my table that I said they should specifically take care of. He said that he can take it to his furniture people but he has to pick it up and bring it until the guy can fix it. But I said the table is not going anywhere and they should fix it right here. The repair will take a whole bunch of way a head a few weeks or may take few several months. But I said they already did enough damage and I am not going for it anymore. He has already made too many empty promises and he bragged about how good he was, how great his company was. They knew absolutely nothing. They didn't know anything about cellophane wrap, I mean, everything that I have had, I wrapped. I was so careful in cellophane wrapping. They have used all the rest of cellophane wrap we had which we were very thankful they at least did that. They had no idea on what they were doing. I was extremely disappointed because it was all boast. But the two boys were careful but just didn't have enough knowledge and they didn't have the proper training to move furniture. Other people should not believe anything that he says. He was totally boastful. Everything that he said that he knew, he didn't know. He is a good talker.

The workers were courteous, prompt, and personable. They seemed to be busy because they mentioned having two more jobs after mine. I had a large curved glass curio that was really important to me and a new sofa and loveseat that was just a month old and an expensive dining room table. The entertainment center towers and chairs arrived just fine, as did an antique hall tree. There were noticible nicks in the sofa, curio, and table. Also, when moving the sofa, they dragged it across the floor I had just had refinished, the "pads" on the bottom came off, and it left a gash about a foot long that is noticable. Shame on me for not signing a contract but, with all of the positive reviews, I thought I could trust them to take are with my things. The furniture can be stained and repaired and won't show much. I'll have to get professionals out to repair the floor. I was very disappointed but was told that was "normal" part of moving. I'm not convinced.

Arrived on time. Workers were fast and efficient. They were very careful with my furniture, etc.

They arrived on time. Excellent experience. No damage to the piano or any of the other furniture.

We had them move the bulky items. They did not damage any items. They brought four men with them for the job. They did have to make a second trip for the rest of our items. The truck they brought was too small.

Our experience with Clark Moving was excellent in every aspect. They arrived on time, were professional and polite, and placed everything at our new home exactly where we asked. The movers had a positive, friendly and professional attitude about the entire process.
