This was done in the summer of 2011(I did not remember the exact date so the date above is estimated). He was supposed to tear down wall and put in footing and rebuild wall and add stepped wall on one side due to incline of property. He was supposed to get concrete blocks (as he said the ones I had were not useable) and rehang the fence which ran along the top of the wall and reinstall the walk gate. He did not show up timely or routinely to perform the work. He used the cement blocks I had (which he had said were unuseable) and did not put up fence. I had to fuss to get him to reset gate which now does not fit properly. I had to buy fence and install it myself. The stepped wall is not stepped and looks terrible. The work was sloppy and does not match the other side (which he said it would). It is also cracking and breaking down and now all has to be torn down and redone.
Description of Work: knocked down retaining wall 3 cinder blocks high on one side of the wall. Rebuilt it and added additional wall up property slope.

The original written quote was for $11,000. We scaled back our scope of work, and the new quote was $5,000. This company was recommended by another service provider, who had used them. After the second quote, I saw the 'D' rating from an Angie's List review, and was a little worried the company would not finish the job. Mr. Cloud wanted to come over the next day to dump a load of sand before removing the concrete slabs. The truck driver was hesitant, as I was, too, as the yard was too wet. Mr. Cloud insisted it would be fine, and the truck sunk through one of the concrete slabs and into the yard. In the meantime, I told him my concern about bringing sand in first - he told me this is what he did for a living, etc. Then, I told him about the bad rating on this website and on the BBB website. Oh my - Mr. Cloud became loud and agitated to the point another contractor stayed at my house until Mr. Cloud left.. Mr. Cloud also told me he expected me to write him a check for half of the work that day ($2,500). When I told him I would like an altered quote showing the new scope of work, he refused and said he did not have time to provide one. I suggested he call Angie's List and BBB to straighten out any unfavorable ratings, but he said he would not take the time. While another truck drove from another town (with a 2nd load of sand, which I had to pay for) to pull out the first truck, Mr. Cloud and I parted ways. I paid the truck drivers their money, and I was glad to be done with Cloud's Cement Finishing.
Description of Work: The services to be performed were: break-up and remove concrete slabs and walkways, grade front and back yards, install a limestone driveway, a parking pad, and a small french drain. Some sand and dirt were included.

Agreement was to pour cement patio and grade yard for proper drainage. Some work was never totally completed. Some work was not satisfactorily completed. Around th edges of the patio you can see that the thickness of the patio is not uniform and within about two or three weeks after the patio was poured it began to show cracks in the cement. After being contacted he never even came by to inspect the cracks. He simply stated that "all cement cracks". He did not drag and smooth the fill dirt as he said he would and when he finally came to smooth the fill dirt the grass had already grown through the dirt and it could only be hand graded with a rake and was only partially smoothed. The yard does not not drain satisfactorily around the patio. He poured two or three wheelbarrows of wet unused cement behind my rear fence right in the middle of a pathway which dried into large rocklike lumps. He promised to remove these. He has not done this. The surface of the patio is not smooth and uniform. It is not even as smooth as most driveways or sidewalks.
Description of Work: Work was never totally completed.
