I called a couple of different Electricians and had scheduled another Electrician to come out on Friday. The guy from ARE called me back because he saw my number as a missed call on his phone. He was very convincing and could have someone come out that day and cheaper for the house call $35 vs. $50. The electrician came out and was very nice and took a picture of the breaker needing replaced and said he would have to locate one since it was no longer available new. I called a few days later and they were still looking. After a week I called back and they claimed they had lost my phone number but still had not found the breaker. I told them that my neighbor had recently changed her breaker. They told me the only way for them to order the breaker was to get the part number from the breaker. I ordered the breaker myself. I was disappointed that a professional electrician could not figure out what part I needed. Also, when I called back he was trying to give me the a sad sob story about how long they had looked for the breaker. I told him that I did not want to get charged more for time spent not finding a breaker. He quoted me $200 to change the breaker. I told him that I would check a couple other electricians to make sure he was not overcharging me. He then went to make sure I knew they were closed and that I would have to call him back on Monday. He tried to make me feel bad about his dad being in the hospital, which may have been true but not the time or place to bring that up. Anyway I went with another electrician and got the job done for $175. It may have just been a freak experience the actual electrician that came out seemed nice and knowledgeable.
